There was still 4 minutes left. From what I can tell in end of the game scenarios, you will only kick a field goal on 4th down or if it will be the last play of the game. Overtime is the only time I have seen a field goal before those two scenarios

What I meant was why we were passing still. It should have started to run the ball to drain clock.

I just looked, but the hurry up slow down sliders don't specify what will happen if the score is tied. I have seen the AI run the clock out before kicking the FG, but my theory is that since there was close to 4 minutes left the AI wasn't going to try and run the clock out due to there being so much time with the 2 minute warning and 3 timeouts per side

I get that. Probably just running normal game-plan at that point. Unfortunate. If I wanted a million rules I’m sure I could create something for every game situation but that would be annoying lol

Play calling can be seriously annoying at times....I lost a game recently where I was winning by 4 points....under minutes left in the game....2nd and goal from the 2 yard line...and my QB throws a pick and I wind up losing after an 80 yard touchdown drive.

If I'm calling the plays, I'm running the ball...eating clock and either scoring a rushing TD or kicking a fieldgoal
