I'm late to this as it seems most of the time I am! The NCAA league has done this for years and
I have never cared for it. I forget after the first round that there are 3 more rounds that day and
get some bad picks! It's my bad because my thinker is old and forgetful, now on the FA deal I
think back to what my Great Grand Papy use to say " The Devil shits on the bigest pile ", have
a good day all!

I'm not a fan of speed drafting either but I'm outvoted. Reminds me of the joke in the old movie Colors with Sean Penn and Robert Duvall. I'll probably butcher it, but it's something like a young bull and an old bull see some cows and the young bull says let's run down there and do one of those cows. The old bull says, let's walk down and do them all.

I just don't see the need to rush. What's next, a push to eliminate midweek sims so we can play games even faster?

That's the definition of being a league admin.....you can't make everyone happy all the time!

I'm just trying something different to shake up the same old thing over & over again.

I've never been a fan of lower injury rates in leagues but I'm clearly in the minority on that topic. The irony is everyone who believes lower injury rates help them personally, it actually widens the gap between the "haves" & "have nots".

An elite owner who doesn't have to worry about injuries will dominate even more than in leagues with normal injury rates. The problem is everyone looks at injury rates from a personal perspective instead of taking the view from 10,000 feet.

I still haven't heard from JDB so the draft will go as normal because I've PMed him for the 3rd time and said:

NEVER MIND

....you didn't respond in time for me to notify everyone of the new format so maybe I will try again in 2 months.

Disappointed,

CJ

I don't like the injury rate that is so high it wipes an entire unit , like O line . Or so many scattered injuries you can't hardly field a team.

Fair enough, but the lower an injury rate in a league, the less this game is a roster management Sim and all about who is the best game planner.

Essentially, without injuries it becomes the best game planners win every time. Yes, injuries can wipe out a unit on any team but it can also injure key components to those elite game planners and put a real damper on their ability to out game plan everyone.

I didn't join this game to gameplan....I joined for the roster management aspects of the game and learned game planning much later. My ability to compete is directly related to how much depth I build my roster with so lowering the injury rate is a benefit to me.

That's always been my opinion about the game.
