Gotta say I pretty disappointed that the "Test" post got only 8 likes!!!
It can only mean hardly anyone reads my posts because hitting the like button takes next to no effort.
Was hoping for better but will adjust accordingly. Thanks for those of you that actually read and hopefully enjoy my posts

What was the “Test” post? I read the speed post which I found quite interesting.
This was Part of the speed post which was the test to see if everyone read the post
"This is the type of data and I love to put together as I evaluate each team and where they will finish in the upcoming season. As a further experiment within this post, please like this post if you bothered to read this entire post. I'm curious how many owners read the things I post and the quick & easy process of tapping the like button takes less than a second. If I don't get at least half the owners liking this post then I will re-evaluate the quantity and quality of the things I post in the future. I will continue to put together different analysis of league data but I just won't putting it together in a post to share with everyone."
Ah, right, I do remember seeing this, and I did like it as I do make an effort to read all of your analytics posts (or at least try to). I do appreciate all of the hard work you put into your leagues which is why I have stuck around on MFN for longer than I would have otherwise.

I didn’t like it but read through it. I don’t really think you should test people and then be disappointed with the results.
From my perspective for what it is worth ( probably worth as much as a rash) I read all your content and probably miss hitting like more than 50% of the time. Don’t read too much into it.

I get what you are saying but from my perspective, I spend hours putting together (hopefully) fun & informative posts and while I enjoy doing it and I ask nothing in return except....please stick around...sometimes it's nice to get positive feedback.
In addition, I'm always curious about data and even something as simple as asking for a like to judge how many owners actually read my post or just skim through and check the part that pertains to their team is important knowledge for a content provider like myself.
The feedback or lack thereof gives me the information I need to better create content....i.e......less fluff or narrative/more specific data.
Test is a bad word because there is no pass or fail. I'm just always trying to improve the league and this offered me important data to do that which benefits everyone.
My favorite part of this league is the extra stuff, I look forward to when you have some new breakdown or way of looking at the teams. I wish I had more time to do it myself and really appreciate the time you spend putting it together.
You should know that I have no worries about the usual suspects (Raidergreg/waitwut/Trslick/blondie) reading and participating in the forums. Plus there are a list of others like Dangalanti, Brxnivy, Big Poppa, Claymore etc who usually like post then we get to hear Smirt's internal monolog from time to time.
The "Test" was more about getting the other "silent" owners to engage even if it's as simple as liking a post.
I would love every owner to engage and feel a bigger part of the league. I was toying with the idea of allowing all 32 owners to vote on ALLPRO selections and the MVP.
I do it all myself as it stands because I don't have time to wait weeks for everything to finally get around to voting and then I have to write it up which means it could be week 4 of the next season before ALLPRO selections are actually released.
Raidergreg can share how frustrating it can be when a poll is put up and a week later only 15 of 32 owners have voted.
When first starting this game it a while to care about any of the forums (clearly no longer the case). To date I have read almost zero posts in community prior to 2023 save weights and plays that were linked to me through PM for reference.
XFL was the first league that provided this level of content. I left XFL for a bit but returned because of two things: other owners, and an admin that cares enough to add content. The content is actually a bonus because who would have thought someone would do that in the first place. It is voluntary and assumes much of the role of journalism with the material and research and opinion.
XFL has been an open source for elevating owners unlike many other leagues. That is not to diminish any other league, especially not USFL or the like as I know admin there also have a vested interest in adding content. I almost see them as an extension of each other which is why I played in both prior to JDB bright idea. But, you do need an equal care by the owners and I understand. I swear by it, what JDB does over the next six months will determine everything.
More people need to play bottom line. Your content and the added from owners, I know AG or someone dropped a detailed post about 4.6 in here somewhere, will be the catapult to their onboarding if they are wise enough to read, question, evolve. You can only hope.

Yes I can, it's quite frustrating. I used to do All Pro polls on Survey Monkey and each year the number of responses dwindled. Even if I did polls on site in the forums it seems 24 votes is about as high as we got. I stopped doing that because the time it took to set the polls up was not worth the response I got.
The only polls I do now are things involving the direction of the league, things that directly affect all. Even then we don't get everyone voting but we do get enough to make a decision.
