This season came and went and I feel as if I missed it completely! I hope everyone returns for season 39 because it's you the owners that make this league great!
I now have a ton of added content to update to include this past season and I'm hoping to find the time and energy to do it as fast as possible. That includes ALLPRO/MVP selections, owners & team records, updating the ALLTIME Postseason & ALLTIME STATS threads plus adding new names to the HOF ballot and doing my annual 1st round draft review.
Just to give everyone a heads up about why I'm not as active the last several months, The head of my department at work passes away and I was volunteered to fill his role until a qualified person was found to permanently replace him. I dont want the position but I also need to pay bills and eat so I grudgingly took the position.
Meanwhile, in case you haven't noticed, the administration changed over in January and suddenly our department is tasked with submitting daily briefs about many different topics and surprisingly, someone is actually not only reading them but we are getting feedback from said someone to include questions and additional tasks to follow up on the last daily briefing.
To put it in prospective, I was head of a team which gave analysis on topics from an extremist slant to balance the main teams more centric prospective as a part of full weekly report while the daily reports were much shorter and focused. Now I'm in charge of the daily reports which are more comprehensive then the weekly analysis we provided under the last administration.
In other words, I don't have much idle time at work which is where most of my content was written in the past. Also my schedule went from overnights where things were less hectic to a more traditional daytime schedule.
I will do my best to keep up with the XFL and my content but unfortunately it is the first thing to suffer if my job duties need my attention. I've started several news and notes writeups this past season only to run out of time so nothing gets posted. I still follow the league every game but I only adjusted my depth chart and actively gameplanned twice last season so it's possible I had Q7 players active during a game and I used the same gameplan as the previous week many many times.
I hope everyone returns for season 39 and I hope they find a much more qualified person to fill my position so I can return to my team of lovers, misfits and conspiracy theorist!
Let's see how TC goes but I felt like I reached for every one of my draft picks. I don't know if this was a weak class or I just didn't do a good job scouting these prospects...
I looked at all the first round picks and they dropped a collective -95. That is with like 25 of the players going down. There shouldn't be that much negative regression in first round picks. Just another reason why I'm on the verge of even dropping my one 'free' team and leaving MFN all together.
