Sure, that's the way it *used* to work. But early in the season, that screen falsely assured us that we were all right. Maybe JDB fixed that just now, but many of us are already in a pickle, because until now we thought we weren't in trouble.

I've been thinking to take some time off MFN so I'd like to request if I can get some cap relief so the AI won't cut half of the roster, and before the pre-season starts, I will leave the team to a new owner. I don't want to quit leaving a disaster situation behind. Let me know.

Yeah I added your cap up by hand and you are legitimately over the cap. You could always try to extend some of your players to help deal with the issue as well. If you don’t know you generally want to max the bonus percent you’re paying players during renegotiation because they only care about total bonus and not total yearly income; you can save money on a lot of rookie deal extensions, and player deals in general, by giving them a larger bonus to pay them less year over year. The trade off is you have to pay that bonus all at once if you cut or trade the player but given we know exactly how good a player is you shouldn’t run into issues of albatross contracts.

The AI cuts starting from your players who give you the most cap relief when cutting to get under the cap. If the AI is cutting to get to under the roster maximums it starts from the lowest rated players on your roster according to your weights.

I've been playing MFN for a long time, so I understand how the salary cap works and what the players demand. I don't know what the **** happened this time. Like I said before, before the draft started, I was over 10M under the cap, taking into accound the draft picks cap hits... I'm trying to understand the problem, but I have no idea.

It was fun to play in this league for more than 6 seasons, but I've been thinking to take some time off MFN since last season, so I think it's time to leave the league. The last improvements are great to see but there's a lot of work left to be made. Hope the next version is a good one for the game.
