It may have been the 12th game of the season but, for the Philly hometown faithful, it seemed like the start of a new season, new hope, as the their Slayers lost a tough one, 13-16, to begin the Kosmic28 era. The stadium was at 71 % capacity to see the first game of the Kos era. This game had everything any fan could hope for. Big plays, offensively and defensively, hard hits and gaffs, and a last minute field goal, by Phoenix, to snatch a victory from the outreached hopes of the Slayers. " First I want to say congrats to the Phoenix Predators in a game well played and their win. All in all, though, I couldn't be happier with this team's performance today. They played tough the entire 60 minutes, kept us in the game, and lost on a last minute field goal by the opposition. Heart! They played with plenty of heart, grit, and never die attitude, and that's all any owner, or coach, can ask for from their team. Yes, if this kind of play is what we can expect from our players, through the rest of the season, and future, than it will always will be "sunny in Philadelphia"". So the Kos era begins in Philly as we see great things happening for the team and hopes of XFL Championship in the future.
The Philly Slayers fans were celebrating the other night after their team won 8-6 over the Washington Warriors. "Well, let's just say it wasn't a shootout, or a spectacular win", stated new owner, Koz, " but we got our first win, under my new system, and that's the important thing." The "Koz" era got their first win earlier than anyone thought. This has made the folks in Philly giddy with anticipation, painfully controlled of course, with hopes that this could be a magical year for their team. It's late in the season but next year looks great for the "Slayers that have great players and want to prove wrong all the naysayers!!!"
You can tell this isn't real football by the statement that Philly fans were giddy. Philly fans of all sports are not giddy unless they win a championship.
The Philly Slayers won big, 26-10, as they dominated the Vandals in week 14 play. When interviewed, team Captain and QB, Hensley had nothing but high praises for what's been happening the last 3 weeks for their team. "You know, gosh, it's been unreal the atmosphere in the locker room before practices and after games. Most teams, eliminated from the playoffs, are playing for contracts or trying not to get hurt. Yes, we're out of the playoffs but out guys are playing each game as if it's early in the season and every game counts. There's a new attitude in Philly and I'm very happy, and proud, to be part of it!" TSOP, is being heard in Philly loud and clear as the Philly faithful, although not giddy as previously mentioned (because that's not their thing), but look forward to each game now and next season. The future of the Slayers looks bright and everything looks sunnier in Philly! There's lots of prayers for the Slayers to keep things going!!!
