This salary cap situation is a mess and it's creating a competitive imbalance.
If I didn't do anything, Miami and Toronto are screwed. I have helped them out with dead cap but in doing so, Miami went from way over the cap to $65 million below.
IMO the only fair thing to do now is eliminate everyone's dead cap but I'll wait on opinions from the league first.
Just so you know, the only reason I'm helping this time is the new UI has people out of sorts and this is a grace period. Next season, I won't help out unless it's a new owner taking over a messy situation.
Keep in mind that Androwski is leaving, so it's not like he's sticking around to take advantage of new found cap space. That being said, it still feels fair to clear it for everyone just this once.
I've cut myself into compliance, but at the cost of incurring big dead cap. My predecessor had done a Smirt imitation, by signing somebody to a ludicrous contract that he had no intention of paying. If you don't do something by training camp, all my picks will be nerfed, and I will be screwed squared.

So you want me to do yours now or after the sim runs tonight?

After the sim runs. I still have some cutting to do. But before training camp for sure.
I cut and nuanced it to a perfect 50 players. No one seems to care but a ton of players were advanced an extra age and will get nailed a year too early - wr-rb-cb-ss and non-centers.
