Player weights recommended for version 4.5
Use at your own discretion https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bWKAP70R1LB21BMTA0k_n1QP8QLwgSUa/view?usp=sharing I use this as a frame of reference and make my own weights based on my own thoughts about whats important to each position. WARNING!!!! Radically modifying you player weights may completely change how your players are rated which means you might suddenly find that SS you thought was good isnt or that RB you cut was a stud. |

QB minimums
Pass accuracy 90 Intelligence 75 The 2 seem to go hand in hand but I wont start a QB with under 90 PA unless I have no other choice or all his other attributes are through the roof but even then 80 would be my cutoff. |

2 questions. Is there a recommended way to increase a lower speed but higher technical skilled reciever's production? Short routes? Second, is there a guide anywhere that shows what play type beats another specific play type or maybe even specific plays?

These are the questions everyone is feverishly trying to figure out as we enter the world of 4.5. There were definative plays that worked in 4.3 against certain defenses. 4.4 wasnt around long enough for a book to come out on what worked because by the time everyone started to get the hang of it, 4.5 came. Now everyone is throwing plays against the wall in 4.5 to see what sticks. Thats the name of the game now in preseason, see what works and what doesnt. Keep what works and throw out what doesnt. Check game logs of successful teams to see what works for them and try it. Dont expect owners to hand you what works as everyone is scrambling to find that edge. Experiment, trial and error and constantly adjust is the name of the game. Good luck |

SPEED is the single most important attribute in this game for offensive skill positions. I cant stress that enough. SPEED KILLS

You've hit the mark on speed for running backs. If it was me I wouldn't want to touch anything in the 60s or less. Lets say 70 with a 95 acceleration would be useful. Less speed you work away from the 90 mark more you'd want breaking tackles to be vicious.
It's a balancing act of the appropriate traits and making sure you have a weapon. As far as catches, I've no clue. I always aim to get the highest I can and hope for the best. I haven't scientifically looked at it to see if because a player was 50-70 in pass catching rating...how it failed me. Update: I see this thread loaded up with replies. Missed that. Reading the rest now.

and CJ spit eloquently about not listing the plays which work offensively and what to avoid defensively because it takes feverish time and dedication individually to figure out what works and what's a land mine.
I think it's cool to help people and nudge them along with advice but to pull back on outright stating exactly what to do and listing in detail. |

Example. Someone posted a log and asked why they were getting beaten by a certain play. I posted a reply to nudge them towards fixing it and held back from putting out there for everyone well that play is known to get blown up and the other of the 3 plays also gets nailed consistently with 1 of the 3 being the most stable.
I fought my instincts because I like to help people but you can aid to an extent. |
