We have reached the halfway point of the season and its time for my annual midseason report. The XFL league is full, thriving and highly competitive. We only have one undefeated team and 5 of the 8 divisions have 1st and 2nd place teams within a game of each other. 7 of the 8 divisions are within 2 games and the 8th division is seperated by 3 games. The second half of the season should be exciting as most divisions are still up for grabs.
With that being said, I will be doing my report in sections through the coarse of the day so please be patient waiting for your teams breakdown. Lets begin....

AXC
WEST
OAKLAND OUTLAWS (5-3) PRIVATESNOWFLAKE
TOTAL OFFENSE 7th TOTAL DEFENSE 19Th
This is Privatesnowflakes 6th season as owner of the highly successful Oakland francise. He is the only owner to have won 2 XFL Championships and has made the playoffs 4 straight years. Oakland is currently tied for 1st place with Vancouver and has a 1-1 record in the division. The 2nd half scedule has Oakland playing 4 division games including 2 against Vancouver so the division is literally up for grabs.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.30 Edward Bruns CB
The fact that this speedy, talented corner has barely seen the field speaks volumns about the depth of talent on the roster. Bruns has the ability to play in this league but he sits at CB5 behind veteran talent. He is a nice issurance policy against injury and still has room to develop.
Future starter.
2022 1.32 Louie Cannon WLB
Cannon is the starting WLB, after his rookie campaign saw him amass 72 tackles and 2 sacks, Cannon started every game this season before suffering a serious knee injury in week 8. He leads the team with 55 tackles but will miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks.
Probowl starter.
2021 1.27 Gregory Madison TE
Madison has settled in as TE2 on Oakland. He made 18 catches incuding 3 TDs in his second season but has regressed some in his 3rd season with only 5 catches.
Career Backup.
VANCOUVER VANDALS (5-3) BHASS
TOTAL OFFENSE 11th TOTAL DEFENSE 18th
This is Bhass's 3rd season as owner of the francise. After 2 losing seasons, Vancouver finds itself 5-3 and tied for 1st with Oakland. They are 0-2 in division with 2 games head to head vs Oakland in the 2nd half. 5 of the last 8 games are against teams with losing records so the 2 games against Oakland will be key in crowning the division winner.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.28 Jeffrey Marker RB
Marker has the grabbed the starting RB position halfway through the season, starting 5 games. He has 350 yards rushing and a TD plus 27 catches for 142 yards.
Solid Back.
2023 1.5 William McCoy WLB
McCoy became a starter quickly and has 66 tackles to lead the team and a sack. While McCoy is a tackling machine, he will need to improve in pass defense to take that next step.
Future Probowler.
2023 1.2 Jeff Urban FS
Urban is the 3rd 1st rounder to grab a starting role on Vancouver. He started 5 games and has 25 tackles and an INT.
Solid starter.
2022 1.6 Robert Page RDE
Page had a dream rookie season in 2022 with 66 tackles, 19 sacks and 14 hurries. He was considered a Probowl talent and possible future hall of famer. But 2023 has been a hugh disappointment as Page only has 20 tackles, 1 sack and 4 hurries. While some have attributed the dropoff to Pages's work ethic, experts believe teams are gameplanning away from Page and using more of a short, quick passing game to limit his impact.
Solid Starter or Probowl Starter?
2022 1.14 Tommy Fulmore RT
Fulmore started 12 games his rookie year but an injury plagued season plus inconsistent play allowing 12 sacks that season led Vancouver to tradr Fulmore to the LA Challengers during this years draft. The trade packaged Fulmore and C Jose McGahan with 2023 1.20 and 2024 1st rounder to land WR Howard and 2023 1.5. Of coarse the 2023 1.5 landed Vancouver future Probowler, William McCoy WLB.
2021 1.17 Mike Darwin LDE
Darwin has been a consistent starter for 3 years totalling 107 tackles, 15 sacks and 15 hurries through 2 1/2 seasons.
This is Arjona16's 6th season as owner and he is coming off his best season at 8-8 last year. After a fast start with wins against both Vancouver and Oakland, KC has taken a step back going 1-4-1 over there last six. With a 2-0-1 record in division, they could actually make a run at the division with a strong 2nd half.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.17 Ben Schell SS
Schell, a starter from day 1 has 35 tackles and an INT this season. He has 2 knockdowns, a forced fumble and a catch allowed percentage of 44.4%.
Solid starter
2022 1.4 Robert Burns RT
Burns quickly became a starter in his rookie season and in 24 games covering 766 pass plays has allowed only 1 sack. In addition, during 1221 plays in his career, he has been called for 1 penalty.
Probowl Starter.
2021 1.16 Robert Smith LDE
Smith only played in 3 games his rookie season before winning the starting position in year 2. In the last season and a half, he has combined for 71 tackles, 16 sacks, 21 hurries, 1 forced fumble and 2 INTs.
Solid starter.

DENVER EXTREME (2-5-1) PLASTEREDPICKL2
TOTAL OFFENSE 22nd TOTAL DEFENSE 23rd
This is Plasterpickl2s 2nd season as owner of the Denver francise. He is the 4th owner in the 6 year history of the team that has failed to make the playoffs every season. He is looking to bring stability to an organization that hasnt had an owner last 2 consecutive seasons in the past. Coming off 3 straight seasons with double digit loses, Denver is hoping to improve on that this season. Needing to win or tie 4 games down the stretch, Denver faces 6 teams with losing records.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.9 Conrad Werner FS
Werner won the starting job a couple of games into the season. He has 27 tackles, 40% catch allowed percentage with 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries.
Solid Starter
2022 1.6 Traded to Birmingham for: William Revell WR
Revell was released soon after the trade, picked up off waivers by Dakota and eventually traded back to Birmingham.
2022 2.28 draft pick John Martinez RB
Martinez has been the feature back in Denver for 2 years. He has 1182 yards rushing ad 668 yards recieving combined in 24 games with a pair of TDs.
Average Starter.
2023 5-27 draft pick Traded to Memphis with 2024 4th & 7th for Jimmy Shook TE
Shook is the starting TE for Denver with 29 catches for 206 yards this season. Last season in Memphis, Shook caught 61 passes for 1076 yards and 6 TDs so Denver hasnt been able to integrate him into the offense.
Solid Starter.
2021 1.10 Charles McKinney SLB
McKinney has been a solid LB since being drafted 2 seasons ago. In 2 1/2 seasons, he has combined for 139 tackles, 4 sacks, 3 INTs and 3 forced fumbles.
This is Smirt211's 6th season as owner of Buffalo. He has made the playoffs 3 times including winning a Conference Championship. Currently undefeated, he leads his division by 2 games and looks poised for a 4th straight playoff appearance. He has 3 key matchups in the 2nd half including 2 games against Miami that currently sits at 6-2 and a matchup in week 9 against perennial contender Dakota.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.25
Pedro Garcia WLB
Garcia has played in all 8 games in his rookie season including 3 starts. A versatile LB, he has 16 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 Interceptions. His playing time seemed to be increasing but a serious knee injury may sideline him for a few weeks.
Solid Starter.
2022 1.30 Wesley Richards RB
Richards found a role as a backup RB, carrying the ball 79 times his rookie season for 367 yards and 2 TDs. He also added 14 catches for 115 yards and 2 TDs that year. In his 2nd season, his touches have decreased but he is still productive with 16 carrys for 83 yards and a TD plus 8 catches for 72 yards and 2 TDs. The problem isnt his talent level, its the depth of talent on the roster. 5 players have more carrys.
Solid backup
2021 1.31 Isaiah Miller WR
Miller entered the league in his rookie season as a homerun threat averaging 20.5 yards per reception and catching 12 TDs. But as the league passing has changed drastically over the past 2 seasons, he has found his production severly limited catching only 2 TDs combined. As it stands now, he is an average slot reciever with potential for more production if the league changes back to a more prominent passing league.
This is Gridironfan's 3rd season as owner of Miami and he is coming off a 12-4 season and Division Championship last season. Last season, he was one and done in the playoffs losing to division rival Buffalo in the Wildcard round 22-25. At 6-2, the team has picked up where they left off last season but still find themselves 2 games behind undefeated Buffalo. The division will hinge on the 2 matchups vs Buffalo in the 2nd half of the season.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.24 Johnny Werth C
Werth has played in all 8 games in his rookie season and began to start in week 7. A highly intelligent player, he hasnt allowed a sack or committed a penalty and should start for years to come.
Future Probowler.
2022 1.15 Frederick Good CB
He started from day 1 and has been asked to learn on the job. Although he had 71 tackles in his rookie season, he also had 27 missed tackles. His catches allowed percentage was 63.9% while being thrown at 72 times in his rookie season. In his 2nd season, he has shown marked improvement with ony 4 missed tackles and a 35.3% catches allowed percentage with 12 knockdowns in 34 targets against. While he is still waiting for that 1st career interception, there is no doubt he belongs on the field.
Solid Starter
2021 1.8 Jared Lafever DT
Lafever has settled in as a quality rotation piece at DT. In his 2 1/2 seasons, he has amassed 61 tackles, 6 sacks, 3 hurries and 3 knockdowns. An occasional starter, he offers quality depth at DT and is the kind of player most teams need on there roster.
Quality depth. Average starter.

NEW YORK EMPIRE (3-5) BROHL
TOTAL OFFENSE 12th TOTAL DEFENSE 27th
This is Brohl's 3rd season following back to back 6-10 seasons. At 3-5, he is on pace for a 3rd consecutive 6-10 season. With 5 games remaining against teams with sub .500 records, maybe the team can breakthrough and keep the loses in single digits.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.12 Steven Hanson LT
A starter from day 1, Hanson has shown flashes of greatest but he has been hampered in his development by a series of injuries which may limit his time on the field in the 2nd half.
Future Probowler.
2022 1.10 James Brown RDE
Brown has started most of the games over his first season and a half. He has totaled 63 tackles, 16 sacks and 11 hurries in that time.
Quality starter. Potential Probowler.
2021 1.4 Edward Wilson LDE
Wilson has played backup at both LDE and RDE since being drafted 2 seasons ago. In his 2 1/2 seasons, he has totalled 82 tackles, 10 sacks and 15 hurries while forcing a fumble and getting an Int.
Quality Starter. Excellent Depth.

NEW ENGLAND CRUSADERS (2-6) MCALLMAN89
TOTAL OFFENSE 30th TOTAL DEFENSE 30th
Mcallman89 is in his 1st season as owner of the New Engand francise. He is the 5th different owner in 6 years so its no surprise the team has struggled to find consistency. Im sure this is a rebuilding year for the francise as the owner figures out what the needs of his team are going into the offseason.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.15 Ryan Bickford SLB
Bickford has settled in as a backup LB, getting into all 8 games but limited to 35 plays. He has contributed 8 tackles while playing stellar pass defense. He has been thrown at 7 times with 3 knockdowns and only allowing 2 catches (28.6%).
Quality Depth.

Solid Depth

Average Starter.

NORTH
CINCINNATI DEFENDERS (5-3) FHUNT3
TOTAL OFFENSE 26th TOTAL DEFENSE 9th
Fhunt3 is one of the original owners from day 1. He has had an incredible run of success with 5 straight seasons with at least 10 wins and 4 straight seasons in the playoffs. The 2 time division Champ is looking to add a 3rd as he leads the division by 2 games and has a 3-0 record inside the division.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.22 Rene Nieman WR
Nieman has only made the field sporadically during his rookie campaign with 3 catches for 44 yards. He has the talent to play in this league but he is stuck behind 3 quality recievers and will have to wait his turn.
Eventual Starter. Quality Backup . 2022 1.25 Steve Chang LT
Mostly a backup in his rookie season, Chang has started all 8 games this season allowing no sacks.
Solid Starter.
2021 1.28 Kurt Vue WR
After sitting out his entire rookie season, Vue has become a starter in his 3rd season. In the last season and a half, he has 66 catches for 722 yards and 4 TDs.

PITTSBURGH BLITZKRIEG (3-5) ARMCHAIRQB
TOTAL OFFENSE 24th TOTAL DEFENSE 16th
This is ArmchairQb's 3rd season as owner of Pittsburgh. Coming off an impressive 11-5 season but just missing the playoffs last season, this season has been a step in the wrong direction. The team started off 3-1, but has dropped 4 in a row as the offense has disappeared being shutout 3 of the last 4 games and only scoring 7 points in the other game.
DRAFT UPDATE
2023 1.6 Robert Hewlett RB

Average Starter
2023 1.32 Aaron Marro MLB
Marro started 7 of 8 games at MLB where he has been a tackling machine with 64 tackles. He has allowed 31 catches in 53 attempts with him in coverage (58.5%).
Solid Starter
2022 1.19 Alex Leavitt LDE
Strictly a backup DE, Leavitt has played in 20 of the 24 games but only combined 220 total plays on the field. In that limited role, he has 11 tackles, 1 sack and 1 hurry in his career.
Solid Backup
2021 1.22 David Reber
Reber has been used as a change of pace, backup RB and return specialist appearing in 26 of the total 40 games in his career.
