I took a flyer on a developmental QB in the 2nd round. I high vol gamble with some nice upside if he hits.

Randall Cunningham cant play forever and it's never too early to find his eventual successor.

What an incredible amount of work but it's separating this league from the others with its rich history and tracking.

I thought the 1st rounders per team being listed was a nice touch, as well. There's going to be a lot to discuss and banter about as players retire and their numbers crystalize and finalize.

Thanks Smirt, it's a long term project but it does tell a story for each francise. It is time consuming but I like doing it to add another layer to my first league.

If CJ will indulge me for 1 post....this is a good place for me to take our conversation more private Slowtospeak about punt blocking. I can respect wanting to level a playing field and figure out a way to win versus me.

My concerns with the punt blocking is the guy who just does it to get his rocks off. Someone whom doesn't need it to win and is just as good as I am. Oh, I don't know....the kind of miserable person whom would trade all his best players in a league to contender teams because he wanted to stick it to another owner on his way out the door orrrr someone whom would PM a rival GM's opponent with tons of info to try and embarrass the GM by losing to a relative newcomer.

Orrr someone who tried it against me in the Champions League. Tried to shove it down my throat but I quietly out-lasted him, won the game and kept my mouth shut.


It's intent.

Trying to compete vs. just doing it to be a mean person.

There's the person or two who will use the punt blocking strategy not because they need it but just another action/instrument in being a jerk..

Is it the same kind of guy who forgets to gameplan when he loses, but writes a detailed post about it when he wins......Particularly League Championships?

Maybe the same kind of guy that spams one defensive play because it works, rather than set up a legitimate defense?

Yeah. I'm pretty sure I know a guy that fits all of those criteria.

I told CJfred I'd leave, if that kind of guy made into a specific "Champions" league........BUT I'm still there! Trying to get that garbage team I drafted to function properly.

Yep, nastiest person on this site. He'll a) beat you and post immediately telling you how he did it and b) throw your own strategies in your face and shows no restraint on aggression and being a bully.

One quick thing because it just hit me. It disgusts me that his abhorrent behavior to you was rewarded with a title in Paydirt. The same league he PM'd knowledge to a new GM so that you'd get clowned and then to rub your face in it within the league thread. Gloating and reveling in it.

Just yuck that he got that league's title.

That's exactly why I never congratulated him on the title.

He coulda waited on helping that guy or done it 2-3 weeks earlier. He knew how that would go. Completely blindsided me. I was even more pissed cuz the new guy acted like it was my fault I got beat! REALLY?! ***!?

I'm all for helping new guys become competitive. He did it strictly to gain an upper hand in the division. Shouldn't have been surprised that he stooped that low, but I was. Smh
