We are just past the midpoint of the season so let's take a look at the overall playoff picture in both Conferences.
AXC
An amazing 13 teams are within 2 games of a playoff spot. Two of the four divisions have all 4 teams seperated by just 2 games with a third division having 3 teams within 2 games and only the East a forgone conclusion. Miami, New York and New England seem on the outside looking in.
NXC
Only eleven teams are within 2 games of a playoff spot. Three of the four divisions have 2 teams tied for first place with the fourth division having the division leader with a two game lead. Washington, Tampa Bay and Memphis are the teams on the outside looking in.

The East is basically clinched while the other 3 divisions are highly competetive. The West have 3 teams within 2 games of 1st and the 4th team is 3 games behind. The North has 4 teams seperated by 2 games with 3 teams a game apart. The South has 2 teams within 1 game while all 4 teams are seperated by 3 games.

The East has 2 teams tied at 9-1 where both should make the playoffs. The West has 2 teams tied for first with a 3rd team 2 games out. The North has 4 teams seperated by 3 games, 3 teams seperated by 2 games and 2 teams 1 game apart. The South is a 2 team race with a 1 game separation. Tampa Bay and Memphis are eliminated with both Seattle and Washington soon to follow.

WEST KC has a 3 game lead over the other 3 teams in the division and with a 5-0 division record look like a lock to win it.
EAST Buffalo had already clinched the division crown.
NORTH Somebody has to win this thing with 3 teams tied at 4-7 but Pittsburgh has the slight edge with a 3-1 divisional record. Both Houston and Toronto sit tied at 4-7 and both have a 2-2 divisional record. At 2-9, Cincinnati is still alive to win it but would need lots of help based on their 1-3 division record.
SOUTH Dakota has a 2 game lead over Texas and is 4-0 in division having swept 2nd place Texas.

WEST Philadelphia and Brooklyn sit tied at 10-1 with both having a 3-1 division record and they split the season series.
EAST Vegas and LA sit tied at 7-4 atop the division but Vegas has a 4-0 division record to LAs 2-1 and Vegas won the 1st head to head matchup with the rematch in week 13.
NORTH St. Paul currently leads the division at 8-3 with Gem City a game behind at 7-4. St. Paul holds a 2-1 division record to Gem City's 1-1 record. This division will be decided when they play each other in both week 13 and week 16.
SOUTH Atlanta and Carolina sit tied at 8-3 but Atlanta is 5-0 in division including a series sweep over Carolina to hold the advantage.
