Another season begins and another season of my exclusive 1st round draft review. This breakdown is solely based on my own opinion using my own personal player weights. It's done in fun and not meant to upset or insult anyone.
The draft begins with a complete shock as this linebacker is taken and scouts saw him as a late 1st round or early 2nd round pick. Memphis is currently without a clear cut owner and this pick doesnt bode well for the future.

1.2 Tampa Bay Fireballs WR Mark Clanton 45/89 5' 11" 200 lbs Nebraska
Tampa lands this wide reciever with elite speed and he can double as a ball carrier out of the backfield. This pick is close to a no brainer.
Grade A+
1.3 Washington Warriors QB Lawrence Lewis 41/93 6' 2" 231 lbs Oklahoma State
Washington lands the top signal caller in the draft. His arm strength, speed and scramble ability gives him a chance to be one of the top QBs in the league. Projected to go 1st overall by most scouts, Washington landing him at 3rd is a real steal.
With the 4th pick, Seattle lands perhaps the best all around corner in the draft. His elite speed and potential elite level cover skills make him a possible true lock down CB.

1.5 New York Empire MLB Edward Lyman 34/81 6' 1" 252 lbs Southern California
New York lands this linebacker who can play the middle but may be better suited to SLB with his combination of pass rush and cover skills.

1.6 Cincinnati Defenders MLB Ronnie Walter 38/75 6' 0" 240 lbs Auburn
This linebacker has decent cover skills with elite pass rush skills which may better serve him at WLB then MLB.
Grade A
1.7 Arizona Wranglers CB Peter Chen 28/79 6' 0" 196 lbs South Carolina State
Chen is a solid if not sexy pick who scouts viewed as a later 1st round since he lacks great speed. He is more of a certain pick with skills being pretty much, what you see is what you get.
Michigan selects this huge defensive tackle from Southern Methodist who possesses good speed for his size and should be a force in both the run and pass defense.

1.10 Toronto Titans C Harold Jorgensen 39/80 6' 3" 284 lbs New Mexico
Toronto takes the 1st offensive linemen in the draft with this Center from New Mexico.
Denver selects a defensive back with elite speed who could play either safety or corner depending on how his cover skills pan out. Scouts love his upside but only time will tell.
Spriggs has some great tools as a quarterback and scouts believe his upside could be elite level if he develops in the pros. He is a gamble but has enough to make it in the pros on some level depending on development.

1.14 Providence Islanders WR Robert Williams 36/93 6' 0" 192 lbs LIU/C.W. Post
Providence takes a wide reciever will high end speed and acceleration who could develop into a true number one with the right development.
Daytona selects a wide reciever with good speed and should develop into a top 2 receiver.

1.16 New England Crusaders FB George Karlson 38/87 6' 4" 246 lbs Kent State
New England selects a fullback out of Kent State who could stay at fullback or drop some weight and develop into a true all purpose running back.
Grade A
1.17 Vancouver Vandals FB Kevin Cooper 26/73 6' 0" 231 lbs Clemson
The 2nd straight fullback comes off the board at pick 17. He lacks speed but has decent hands and blocking to become a solid fullback in the league. Scouts projected him to go in the 2nd round.
Grade B-
1.18 Chicago Avengers WR Craig Anderson 35/82 5' 11" 204 lbs Memphis
Anderson has high end speed and should develop into a solid number 2 wide receiver in the league.
Grade B+
1.19 Los Angeles Challengers DT Neal Sullivan 29/74 6' 2" 305 lbs Arizona State
LA selects a defensive tackle from Arizona State. He is deceptively fast for his size and should produce some interior pass rush.
Grade B
1.20 Saint Paul Punishers MLB Collin Brown 35/69 6' 1" 243 lbs Bryant University
Brown has elite speed for his size and scouts see him as a WLB going into the pros.
1.21 Pittsburgh Blitzkrieg WR Stephen Tucker 35/84 5' 10" 203 lbs Oklahoma State
Pittsburgh selects the solid wide receiver from Oklahoma State. His speed is just shy of elite but shows great quickness and acceleration. He appears to be a more polished all around receiver but does more work on route running and ball security.
Houston selects a solid reciever with good speed. He lacks the size to transition to running back but Houston is toying with the idea of using him there. Scouts have concerns about ball security at running back.

1.23 Atlanta Dominators CB John Kerr 31/73 5' 11" 201 lbs Frostburg State
Kerr played corner in college but scouts love his solid man and zone cover skills coupled with his elite intelligence for him to move to free safety.
Grade B+
1.24 Texas Hold'em DT Gilbert Kelly 38/78 6' 4" 292 lbs Towson State
Kelly has a unique combination of size, strength and speed to be a force at defensive tackle in the pros.
The 3rd fullback taken in the 1st round is a 270 pound bulldozer who many scouts see transitioning to offensive line. His short and long snapping experience makes him a perfect candidate to become a solid center.
Texas takes their 3rd defensive player in the 1st round with this speedy linebacker. He doesnt possess the greatest cover skills bit he makes up for it with near elite speed.
Gem City selects a versatile linebacker who can play all 3 positions depending on the teams needs.

1.28 Brooklyn Hitmen LDE Samuel Benton 36/82 6' 4" 273 lbs Arizona State
A proven run stopper in college, this defensive back needs to develop his pass rushing skills to become a starter at the next level.
Grade B
1.29 Gem City Gangsters CB Edward Pugh 36/70 5' 11" 174 lbs Tulsa
Gem City uses their 2nd 1st rounder on a corner back with good speed. Scouts question his cover skills and see him more as a slot corner.

1.30 Los Angeles Challengers DT Guy Hunter 28/65 6' 1" 287 lbs Arizona
He played defensive tackle in college but his lack of size should transition him to RDE where he will be a solid run STUFFER.

1.31 Dakota Blizzard DT James Kelly 36/80 6' 4" 298 lbs Indiana State
Kelly has the size, strength and speed to be a solid interior pass rusher. Scouts see him as a pass rusher first and run stopper a distant second.

1.32 Philadelphia Slayers FS Jose Anthony 38/79 6' 0" 200 lbs McNeese State
Philly takes a flyer on this speedy free safety from a small college. While scouts question his cover skills, he is known as a hard hitting free safety.
