welcome to another great season of XFL football....this is my oldest league with a richness of history only rivaled by a few other leagues.

Most of you know the deal but we do have a new owner joining us....not just new to the league but new to the game....let's all welcome "dabears" to the league and help him learn the game.

Keep in mind our rules:

Punt block rules are in place where no player under 237 pounds can play the front 4 during punt returns.

AND OUR NEW RULE THIS SEASON

Nobody can play the front four of the defense unless they weigh 255 pounds.....if for injury reasons a linebacker needs to play the front four for depth....and he is under the weight limit....his speed can not exceed 80.

I'm not sure the punt block rule covers it. When I was blocking 50% of punts , I had my blocker lined up in the wing spot . Not the front 4 . I think it is called position 5 or 6. And not the outside guys lined up on the Gunners.

I am not not Punt blocking . I am just saying this to help clarify the rule so we don't get into a controversy.

Wings are fine....you sure that's where you were getting them from?

From my experience it's nearly impossible to block punts in those spots.

Update: The graphic fake hustles on the play making one think the pressure comes from those 2 spots. I've got the best possible candidates in those 2 spots and pulled up some punt scenarios this preseason and I didn't come close to a block. I wonder if someone just drills the same players in those 2 spots over a season(s) if experience takes over and the players play to the play chart's graph..

Watch this punt block you had...#1 blocks the punt and lines up on the front 4.....he isnt a wing.

You aren't the only owner to get confused by the terminology but where the player that blocked all the punts you made lines up is not the wing.....he is literally lined up on the font 4 of the defense.

To make sure this doesnt happen....make sure no defensive backs are in the ST RUSHER depth chart and don't use overrides during punt returns.

No problem my man...like I said...you weren't the only owner confused..

Setherick who knows more about this game then anyone thought the same thing before I showed him several of his own punt blocks.

After the next spin of the sim....Im moving up the sim 2 hours.
