If I picked first, I would probably take CB Danny Sanchez or WLB Rex Boudreau unless I really needed a center. Marcello is pretty good but it would be tough for me to take an OL #1.
I would also consider trading down for more picks.
Yeah OL at #1 isn't very exciting.
Sanchez is on the top of my board and Boudreau is the best LB but if it was me with that roster....I'm taking QB Rojas because I need a QB to win and he has a chance to be special!!!
Tough decision to make and trading down is a best option but who wants to trade up??? and for what???

With limited options of players worthy of a top ten selection I would feel like trading up comes at a premium.

All said and done if I had first pick with what I have now, I'd take Cruz while tempted to take Boudreau or even Gregory. RB Pine would get a short look also. If he were faster I'd see him going number one

Sanchez is really tempting because he still has an acceptable floor of coverage skills even if he busts a little. Boudreau's going to be a tackle machine for whoever ends up with him.

Taking an OL at #1 sure isn't sexy, but you have to imagine it's a pick you will keep for at least 13-15 seasons in this game.
I skimmed real quick. I only see 1 power play if I was crm. I'd go low vol - everyone knows that. I'd take B and do a magical move with him.
I don't see anything else.
With the new rules...he should stay at linebacker...with DBs not allowed to play LB.....he becomes one of the best linebackers in the league day 1.

The Hall of Fame committee have handed in all the ballots and we have 5 new Hall of Famers.
They should be announced sometime tomorrow in the Hall of Fame thread.
I can tell you that the greatest statistical punter spend 5 years on the ballot and didn't get elected as punters get no love.
3 offensive and 2 defensive players were elected with 1 of them an offensive lineman but offensive linemen in general don't get much love. We still don't have a LG or RT in the Hall.
5 players elected is a good number and about average per year as the Hall remains an exclusive club.
Thanks to the committee for taking the time to vote.
