A dramatic offensive shootout featuring 6 lead changes and 3 ties during the 60 minutes of football. The game also had 1,149 yards of total offense (593 BUF/556 DAK) including 1,021 passing yards. Dakota started off hot taking a 19-8 lead into halftime aided by 2 Buffalo missed fieldgoals before the offensive explosion in the 2nd half where Buffalo outscored Dakota 35-17 to win with a 4th quarter TD pass with 0:20 seconds remaining. Dakota had a 36-29 lead with 2:06 left in the game before Buffalo scored 2 touchdowns in the final 1:49. Buffalo QB Ricardo Dodds threw for 537 yards (3rd Alltume) 5 TD (5th Alltime) and 1 INT while Dakota QB Jason Matson threw for 484 yards (6th Alltime), 3 TD and 1 INT. Buffalo WR Jeff Weir had 11 receptions for 328 yards (1st Alltime) and 3 TD while Dakota had 3 receivers go for over 100 yards.

This was a close game for 4 quarters as neither team led by more than 8 points at any time in the game. Saint Paul got off to a 6-0 lead after settling for 2 fieldgoals before Brooklyn took a 7-6 lead into halftime. Brooklyn extended their lead to 14-6 on their 1st possession of the 2nd half before Saint Paul's defense shut down Brooklyn's offense on their next 8 possessions. Brooklyn managed just 27 yards and an interception on those next 8 possessions while Saint Paul's offense managed a touchdown to pull within 14-13 after the Brooklyn interception gave them a short field.
Despite Saint Paul's defense shutting down Brooklyn's offense, the Punishers QB Kenneth Powers threw 3 interceptions on 3 straight drives after the touchdown. The last interception gave Brooklyn the ball 1st and 10 from the Saint Paul 47 yard line with 5:44 left but once again the Saint Paul defense allowed just 2 yards and forced another punt. Pinned at thier own 9, QB Kenneth Powers hit WR John Marrero for a 91 yard TD strike and they added a 2 point conversion to give them a 21-14 lead with just 4:22 remaining.
Brooklyn had one last chance with a 1st and 10 from their 24 yard line with 1:14 remaining and no timeouts. They went on a drive aided by QB Bobby Moreira's 28 pass to WR Henry Humphrey and a pass interference call against Saint Paul giving them a final play from the Saint Paul 20 yard line with 20 seconds left. QB Bobby Moreira hit WR Jerry Jeudy which ended the game 2 yards short of the endzone.
