We have just lost Villagerchris and last week lost Waitwut over league chat discussions.

1st
Waitwut somehow got offended by raidergreg in a discussion about opinions over the top overall pick...The top pick belongs to Voryzover and the 4 or 5 people debating, sharing opinions or whatever you want to call it weren't him. So Waitwut throws 6 years of ownership out the window including winning the Conference Championship in 2033 for what???

2nd
Villagerchris sends me a PM saying how big a piece of **** Smirt is and if Smirt doesn't stfu in league chat...he is quitting. Smirt was in league chat lamenting the direction of the game, basically calling of the admiral and raymattison who have championed and won the switch to 4.6. I replied that he had to do what was right but despite annoying me at times, smirt follows league rules always and has been in the XFL since the allocation draft. I never boot an owner because they give me an ultimatum (him or me). I've NEVER done it before and I get, on average, 1 PM per season demanding just that....so Villagerchris quit.


The really disappointing thing about Villagerchris is he took league admin duties for both my GM leagues after I had my stroke 2 months ago and I've been actively mentoring him as he created his new rule driven Village league where he offered a cash ($25) prize.

He tells me if I can't get Smirt to stfu in league chat (nothing Smirt said was directed at Villagerchris but they did go back and forth previous about some other nonsense I can't remember) he would lose any respect he had for me as a league admin!!!!

This was coming from a league admin that created a rule intensive league and didn't make sure those joining were 100% on board for those rules before joining. He made minimum effort to track or post what every team needed to do in the preseason then got frustrated when only 6 teams were compliant after game 1. Again he demanded everyone comply and his demands had no teeth and currently the league is through 6 games and over half the league isn't following the rules. He admitted publicly that he couldn't remove owners that didn't follow the rules making then whole concept of the league meaningless.....

But....

After mentoring him and trying to tell him what he had to do to get every owner on board...ignoring my advice....and basically demanding I handle Smirt or else....he quits because I'm not a strong enough league admin, he has lost all my respect and he boots me from his league to top it off....I was only one of a dozen or so owners who actually followed his rules!!!!

MY POINT

I'm the league admin and I have 30 owners with 30 different personalities and mindsets. I'm gonna enforce league rules but I'm NEVER gonna side with one owner over another when it comes to....HIM OR ME!!!!

I can't make owners like each other, it's not my job and I honestly don't think it's possible for every owner to like every other owner. Anything from a bad trade offer, to something said in the forums which is taken the wrong way or simply one owner owning another owner over the seasons can lead to bad blood.

Honestly, should owners have to like each other? Jealousy, contempt or simply being annoyed by someone isn't something I'm sitting in judge of......if you don't like an owner....tell him....if it starts to heat up in the league forums....I tell both owners to stop the public fight and take it to PM.

As far as I'm aware....the league is full of grown men so please act like it and grow a pair!!!!!

A 5 year owner and 6 year owner quit because either they were too sensitive or didn't get their way. I raised 11 kids and have 15 grandchildren so I'm not looking to parent owners.

Be men and don't throw away years (in both cases) of free agent signings, drafts, trades and player and team growth because another owner hurt your feelings!!!!

Amen, CJ. No reason to get offended over a game like this. I always try and give my fellow owners the benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day, this should be fun. We’re all trying to win and tensions will naturally happen, but there’s no reason a petty disagreement over draft picks or game planning should cause someone to abandon a team they’ve spent years building.

Villager Chris is an angry jobber rising up to rebel. He admitted to Single White Female-ing me (copying all of my strategies) and it netted him this result:

And with you he is failing miserably in running his league, enforcing compliance - a direct opposite to your handling of the GM #1 and #2 leagues.

(Update: I see the leagues are now McDonalds' Play Land #1 and #2. Fitting - smh)

I called VC's changing of the rules in The Village weak, which it is btw. He told me to apologize or leave, so I left. He seems like a clone of RBParrish.

That was next joke on a league I'd create. Um, yeah, RBParish has held tight but I think VC will flame out in an epic supernova explosion.

I'm telling ya'll watch out for IB. He on that roster/position weight restriction mission over the entire platform and on all VC's posts.
