At the half season mark of the season, Oakland (7-1), Buffalo (8-0), and Cincinnati (7-1) have maintained leads in their respective divisions. In the south, Dakota (5-3) has the edge over Houston (5-3) due to sweeping the seasons series in the division.
The East remains the strongest with New England (5-3) and Miami (5-3) chasing defending conference champ, Buffalo (8-0).
The most disappointing team is still Pittsburgh (1-7), a wild card last season at 10-6, they have really taken a step backwards.
The most improved team is still Miami (5-3) who finished last season 5-11.
NXC (National Xtreme Conference)
Washington (6-2), Seattle (8-0) and defending XFL Champs Atlanta (7-1) continue to lead there respective divisions. Green Bay (6-2) has won 5 in a row to reclaim first over Chicago (3-5) who has lost 5 in a row in the north division.
The south division remains the strongest with all four teams at .500 or better.
The most disappointing team in the first quarter of the season Philadelphia (0-4), has rebounded with 4 straight wins to improve to (4-4). At the halfway mark the most disappointing team is San Francisco (2-6), they finished (8-8) last season just missing the playoffs.
The most improved team is clearly Memphis (6-2) formerly New Orleans, in a new city and under new ownership, Memphis were one of the most active teams in the off season and the moves have paid off.
