2049 TRAINING CAMP TOUR

AXC

WEST

VANCOUVER
OWNER: Lemon97 (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (Division Champ/AXC Conference Champion)
OFFENSE: 11th
The unit returns nearly intact for 1 rookie WR & 2 rookie OL added to the mix.

DEFENSE: 6th
The unit returns nearly intact with only 1 DB lost of any significance. The added 2 rooke DBs in tge draft including a potential starter.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the return specialist return from last season and they drafted a rookie PUNTER to challenge the vet for a job.

PREDICTION: 11-5
They kept 20 of the starting 22 from last seasons team which won the AXC Conference Championship and lost by 7 to the 8× defending Champion Domintaors. They should match last seasons record but could fall short of repeating as AXC Conference Champs in a deep Conference.

KANSAS CITY
OWNER: Voryzover (1st season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (Wildcard)
OFFENSE: 14th
They lost 10 year veteran WR George Williams to free agency after he led the team in receiving last season. They added RB George Gurley in free agency plus they drafted a WR in the 1st round to replace the lose.

DEFENSE: 19th
They lost 2 DEs who started last season and a depth DB while they added 1 LB & 1 DT via free agency and drafted 3 DBs in the later rounds.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers return from last season but RB George Williams was the primary Kick returner and he left for Tampa Bay in free agency. WR Barry Walker returns as the primary punt returner and WR Frank Lopez will get first Crack as the Kick returner for the first time in his career.

PREDICTION: 7-9
The team may take a small step back this season as they transition to new ownership and new play calling.

INDIANA
OWNER: Mlowe (13th season)
LAST SEASON: 6-10 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 22nd
All 11 starters return as they only lost their backup QB in the off-season. While they have solid playmakers at all the skill positions, it's their offensive line which has held them up from being a top 10-15 unit.

DEFENSE: 5th
All 11 starters return from the top 5 unit and they added a speedy LB to the mix a limited draft class. The defense is good enough to win now!

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the returner all come back from a solid 3rd unit.

PREDICTION: 8-8
They should improve this season with last year's deep rookie class getting a season under their belts but the question remains about their offensive line which is powerful but lacks complete blocking skills.

OAKLAND
OWNER: Mwd65 (5th season)
LAST SEASON: 7-9 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 25th
They lost 3 depth WRs from last seasons underpreforming offense along with 3 starters on the offensive line including 2 to retirement. They signed an offensive lineman plus drafted 2 TEs, 2 WRs and 2 OL to replace the loses. They lack overall speed at playmaker but have a solid RB, rookie TE & 1 playmaker at WR which they will need to feed to improve the offense.

DEFENSE: 21st
They lost a DE & LB to free agency plus 1 DB to retirement in the off-season. They signed a veteran DE in free agency plus they drafted a CB in the 5th round. Like the offense, the defense lacks overall team speed which hurts in the XFL.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the returner come back for another season and it's an elite unit.

PREDICTION: 6-10
Overall lack of team speed once again prevents Oakland from taking the next step in a very competitive AXC West.

EAST

NEW YORK
OWNER: Amalric7 (2nd season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (Division Champ)
OFFENSE: 5th
Last year's top 5 offense lost their starting QB & Center to free agency and 6 year veteran QB Robert Gibson has been handed the keys for the first time in his career. New York also drafted a QB in the 5th round to develop behind Gibson who the Empire feel is ready to take over an offense returning all its playmakers. They also drafted 2 OL to replace the lose of the Center.

DEFENSE: 18th
The defense lost only a starting DT from last season and they signed 2 LBs & 1 DE in free agency. They also drafted 1 DT, 2 LBs & 1 DB to help improve on last year's 18th ranked unit.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the returner come back for a high level unit.

PREDICTION: 8-8
After winning an East Division Title last season, New York has moved on to an unproven QB and they take a step back this year because if inexperience and the inevitable growing pains of a first time starter at QB.

BUFFALO
OWNER: Smirt211 (32nd season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (Wildcard)
OFFENSE: 1st
The #1 pass offense lost 3 WRs to free agency in WR Earl Coddington, WR James Vasquez & WR Robert Reynolds who ranked 4th, 5th & 6th in receiving last season for Buffalo. They also lost 4 OL to free agency & retirement including 3 starters. They traded for WR Michael J Fox and signed 5 OL in free agency including 3 starters from last season.

DEFENSE: 16th
They lost 4 DL & 1 DB from last years unit. They signed 2 veteran DL & 7 DBs in free agency as they look to piece together a solid defense to compliment their high flying passing attack.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Only the rarely used Kicker & KO returner returns as they sign a new punter and try WR David Burkhart or WR Michael J. Fox at punt returner.

PREDICTION: 12-4
Buffalo let the division slip through their fingers last season so look for them to bounce back this year and reclaim the East crown. It's the postseason where Buffalo has struggled in recent years going "1 & done" in 5 of the last 7 seasons so look for a renewed emphasis on winning this season.

MIAMI
OWNER: Beercloud (3rd season)
LAST SEASON: 3-13 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 24th
They return 10 of 11 starters after losing a starting OL to retirement & lost their 3rd leading WR in free agency. They drafted 2 RBs & 2 OL including a potential starter at Center. They also signed 2 TEs to add depth to the offense.

DEFENSE: 29th
They lost 4 DBs from last years 29th ranked defense, 2 to free agency and 2 to retirement. They signed 2 DT in free agency and drafted a DE plus they drafted a potential playmaker at LB in the 1st round. They also signed 5 DBs in free agency as the rebuild continues in Miami.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the primary returner come back this season for the solid unit.

PREDICTION: 5-11
It's the 3rd year of a rebuild as the defense has more team speed then the offense at this point of the rebuild.

NEW ENGLAND
OWNER: John97334 (26th season)
LAST SEASON: 4-12 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 28th
Last seasons 28th ranked offense lost their top WR Richard Bohm & their 4th best WR Steven Crist to free agency. They also lost 2 starting OL & 1 depth OL. They drafted a RB and a WR to replace some of the loses and get younger. They also signed a veteran starter for the OL in free agent.

DEFENSE: 31st
The defense lost a DT, 2 DE, 3 LB & 2 DBs from last year's 31st ranked unit including 4 of their 5 leading tacklers plus their top 3 tacklers overall. They drafted 2 DTs & 2 LBs along with signing 2 DEs, 4 LBs & 1 DB in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the primary returner all come back for a solid 3rd unit.

PREDICTION: 6-10
New England has a streak of 11 straight seasons without a winning record and it should become a dozen this year. They do have an elite RB and nice overall team speed on defense where they should improve the most this season.

NORTH

CINCINNATI
OWNER: Blondie1977 (16th season)
LAST SEASON: 13-3 (Division Champ)
OFFENSE: 4th
This top 5 offense lost 3 starters from the OL and 2 depth WRs to mostly free agency with 1 player retiring. They signed a backup QB, 2 WR & 4 OL in free agency plus drafted 1 WR & 2 OL to replace the loses.

DEFENSE: 10th
This top 10 defense lost just 1 DB from the starters and main backups. They drafted a DT and a DB to replace the lose, they signed a LB and 2 DBs via free agency plus they traded for CB Kevin Morales who started for Toronto last season.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Their Kicker retired and their veteran punter left in free agency but the primary returner does return. They signed former Vancouver K Jim Dickerson and inked a 2nd year undrafted free agent.Punter to complete their special teams.

PREDICTION: 12-4
There is a saying that goes "Iron sharpens Iron" and the AXC North is a forge where the Defenders have shaped into a serious contender the past 4 seasons. They have won at least 10 games the past 4 seasons and have 1 AXC Conference Championship in that time. They are 1 of a handful of teams in the AXC with a chance to add another Conference Title.

TORONTO
OWNER: Thanos4real (6th season)
LAST SEASON: 12-4 (Wildcard/2nd place)
OFFENSE: 10th
They lost 3 depth WRs and a TE from last season's top 10 offense but only WR Frank Slinner saw significant snaps as the 3rd leading rusher. They also lost 1 starter on the OL along with 1 backup OL to free agency. They drafted 2 QBs, 1 RB and 1 WR plus they signed 1 TE and 2 OL in free agency along with trading for a WR.

DEFENSE: 12th
They lost a backup DE to free agency and traded CB Kevin Morales to Division rival Cincinnati for a future 2nd & 3rd round pick. They drafted a DE and a LB plus signed a DE, a LB and traded for CB Eugene Ramey from Memphis for a future 2nd rounder.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers return plus the primary returner all came back from last season's solid 3rd unit.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Toronto has a 12 year streak without a losing record including 5 under the current owner. After 3 straight seasons where the finished either 8-8 or 9-7, they finally broke through last season to finish a francise best 12-4. The question is can to maintain what they achieved last season or will they fall back to the pack? I think the answer is a little bit of both!

HOUSTON
OWNER: Privatesnowflake (20th season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 7th
They lost their backup QB, 4th leading WR and a depth WR from last year's #7 offense. They drafted 2 OL plus signed 2 backup QBs including multiple ring winning QB Michael Ceron. They also signed a WR and 2 OL to round out their depth.

DEFENSE: 24th
The entire defense returns intact plus they added 2 DE, 1 DT and 2 LB to help improve a unit that ranked 24th last season.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both elite level kickers and a solid primary returner come back for this season.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Houston went 11-5 last season but missed the postseason since it was only good enough for 3rd place in the North. They might take a small step back this season but wind up making the postseason with fewer wins.

PITTSBURGH
OWNER: Warrior462 (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 10-6 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 13th
They lost their 2nd leading rusher in WR Steven Super and #1 WR Roger Flowers to free agency & retirement respectively. They also lost a backup OL to retirement too. They drafted 1 RB, WR & 1 OL plus they signed a WR for depth in free agency.

DEFENSE: 7th
The entire defensive unit returns from last season's #7 unit and they drafted 1 DE & 1 LB to add young depth plus they signed 2 DBs in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers return plus 4 of 5 players who had a return last season remain on the team with only WR Steven Super departing via free agency.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Pittsburgh went 10-6 last season which was only good enough for 4th place in the North and a seat on the sofa in the postseason. Since winning the AXC Conference Championship in 2045, the Blitzkrieg has gone 28-20 the last 3 seasons including two 10-6 years but they only make the postseason once in those 3 years. They should clock double digits in wins again which might be enough to punch a playoff ticket this season, maybe!

SOUTH

ORLANDO
OWNER: Loftusranger (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 9-7 (Division Champ)
OFFENSE: 12th
They lost their leading rusher WR George Wilson to free agency along with a depth WR along with a starter on the OL and a backup OL. They drafted a QB in the 5th round who may be the QB of the future along with 2 TEs and an OL. One TE was drafted in the 1st round and is a potential starter. They signed 3 OL in free agency to replace the loses.

DEFENSE: 13th
They lost 1 DT, 1 LB & 3 DBs from last year's defense and all 5 saw significant playing time. They drafted 1 DE and 2 DBs plus signed a DE and a LB to improve the unit.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers and the punt returner come back but they lost former ALLPRO RET George Wilson to free agency.

PREDICTION: 9-7
They broke a 3 season postseason drought last year and won the South Division with a 9-7 record. They may match last seasons record but miss the postseason entirely.

DAKOTA
OWNER: Cjfred68 (32nd season)
LAST SEASON: 7-9 (2nd place)
OFFENSE: 3rd
They lost 2 WRs and 3 OL from last years squad including their 2nd leading rusher, 3 leading receiver and a starter on the OL. They drafted 3 WRs including a 1st round playmaker plus they signed a backup QB, a FB, 2 WR & 4 OL to help retool a top 5 unit.

DEFENSE: 14th
They lost 3 DE, 1 DT & 2 DBs from last year's team so they drafted 5 DBs and signed 3 DEs and 1 DB in hopes of improving the unit into a top 10 defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire unit returns intact for another season.

PREDICTION: 10-6
For the first time in 32 seasons, the Blizzard missed the postseason last year and had the team's first losing losing ever. Can the team bounce back in a big way and win the South or is the new standard

DAYTONA
OWNER: McBolt55 (1st season)
LAST SEASON: 4-12 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 31st
They lost their backup QB, their 4th best receiver in TE Brandon Green and 3 depth WRs plus a backup OL from last year's 31st ranked offense. They signed a backup QB and 3 WRs in free agency plus they traded for a front line playmaker WR to improve the offense. They also signed 3 OL and drafted a OL too.

DEFENSE: 27th
They lost a DE and a LB from last year's 27th ranked unit. They drafted 3 LBs and 1 DB plus signed 3 DEs and 7 DBs along with trading for an additional DB.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers and the primary returner all return this season.

PREDICTION: 8-8
Daytona has never made the postseason and only had a winning record twice in 31 seasons. With the francise under new ownership, the hope is times are a changing on the beach. Even an 8-8 record would be the best in 20 years for the Bull Sharks!

TEXAS
OWNER: DrDeath00 (2nd season)
LAST SEASON: 2-14 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 32nd
They lost a RB, FB, TE and WR from last year's 32nd ranked offense plus the lost 4 of 5 starters on the OL and a primary backup. They drafted 1 RB, 1 WR and 3 OL

DEFENSE: 22nd
They lost 2 LBs & 3 DBs from last year's 22nd ranked defense including their leading tacklers FS Steven Woods to free agency. They drafted 1 LB and 1 DB in the 2nd and 4th rounds plus signed 2 DBs in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers and the KO returner all return but the primary Punt returner left in free agency.

PREDICTION: 4-12
Texas has one of the newest owners in the league as he enters year 2 of a rebuild on the heels of 6 straight seasons without a winning record. They show improvement in year 2 under the new regime but still lack overall team speed on both sides of the ball.

EAST

PROVIDENCE
OWNER: Brxviny (10th season)
LAST SEASON: 14-2 (Division Champ)

DEFENSE: 1st
They lost 2 DBs from the #1 defense including their 2nd leading tackler and a bench player. They drafted a DB plus to replace some of the lose.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams unit returns this season and is elite level especially at Kicker.

PREDICTION: 13-3
Providence has won at least 10 games and made the postseason the last 8 straight seasons. They have won the East Division 4 straight seasons and went 14-2 the last 3 straight seasons. There window is still open and it's all a matter of beating Atlanta, Memphis, Gem City and Phoenix in the NXC postseason.

PHILADELPHIA
OWNER: Waitwut (12th season)
LAST SEASON: 8-8 (2nd place/Wildcard)
OFFENSE: 17th
They lost 2 depth WRs from last year's offense, 1 via trade and the other via retirement. They lost 4 OL including 2 starters and 2 backups, 3 to free agency and 1 was traded. They drafted a QB of the future, a TE, WR and 2 OL plus signed 2 OL in free agncy.

DEFENSE: 9th
10 of 11 starters return from last years 9th ranked defense as they lost just a starting DE to free agency. They drafted a DE, 2 LBs and 4 DBs to bolster an already top 10 unit including a 1st rounder & four 3rd rounders.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers and the primary Returner all return for the unit.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Philadelphia has made the postseason in 11 straight seasons but just made it last season with an 8-8 record. Their record should improve behind a potential top 5 defense and they should make it an even dozen straight postseasons.

BROOKLY
OWNER: Infinityontrail (2nd season)
LAST SEASON: 8-8 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 21st
Their backup QB retired and they let their 3rd string QB walk in free agency. They also lost their 4th leading rusher and 3rd leading receiver when WR Terrance McConkey left in free agency. They also lost 2 depth TEs and 2 depth WRs to free agency along with 2 OL, 1 starter and 1 backup. They drafted 2 OL plus signed a backup QB, 1 RB, 1 WR and 2 OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 20th
They lost 4 DL and 4 DBs all via free agency except 1 DB who was traded to Daytona for a 2nd, 3rd & 4th round pick. All 8 players saw significant playing time except 1 depth DB. They drafted a DE plus signed 5 DL, 1 LB and 8 DBs as they look to completely rebuild and reshape their defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Their Kicker and primary returner comes back this season but their Punter retired. They signed an undrafted rookie PUNTER who will make the team and become the starter.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Brooklyn is under new ownership and he has a reputation for winning. The Hitmen went 6-1 down the stretch and almost snuck into the playoffs. A full off-season plus a full year to implement his game plan could find a new power in the NXC and NXC East emerge.

WASHINGTON
OWNER: Shark1720 (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 5-11 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 26th
They lost 2 RB, 2 TE and 3 WRs including their 2nd leading rusher & 2nd leading receiver. They drafted 1 TE, 1 WR and 1 OL plus they signed 2 WRs and traded a couple 1st rounders for 2048 #2 overall pick WR John Enriquez and traded a 3rd & 4th rounder for WR Lawrence Robertson. They also signed 2 OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 11th
They lost 2 DL, 5LBs and 2 DBs from a defense that just missed the top 10 including their 1st, 2nd, 5th & 6th leading tacklers. They drafted 2 DL, 3 LBs and 2 DBs as they look to replace the loses with youth. They signed 4 DL and 1 LB in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams unit returns intact this season and is considered elite level.

PREDICTION: 8-8
Washington won 10 games in 2047 before regressing in 2048 and winning just 5 games. With the emergence of Brooklyn in the East along with perennial contenders Providence & Philadelphia, the Warriors may find themselves in 4th place the next few seasons if they can't get their offense going. They make a blockbuster trade where they gave up future 1st rounders for the 2nd overall pick last year in WR John Enriquez.

WEST

PHOENIX
OWNER: Armoredgiraffe (11th season)
LAST SEASON: 13-3 (Division Champ)
OFFENSE: 2nd
They lost their 2nd leader rusher to free agency plus 3 starters on the offensive line, 2 to free agency and they traded 1 for a 1st round pick. They drafted an OL in the 1st round and a WR in the 2nd round plus they signed an OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 2nd
They only lost a depth DT and a depth DB from last year's #2 defense. They drafted a DE in the 3rd round.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams units returns including both Kickers and the primary returners.

PREDICTION: 13-3
Phoenix has won at least 13 games and the NXC West Title for 8 straight seasons and nothing leads me to believe they won't make it 9 years in a row. It's the postseason where Phoenix has fallen short like 30 other teams to the Atlanta Dominators.

LOS ANGELES
OWNER: Warthog (7th season)
LAST SEASON: 8-8 (2nd place)
OFFENSE: 16th
They lost just depth at RB, TE and 2 WRs but none of their starting playmakers. They did lost 3 OL but only 1 starter and 2 backups. They drafted 3 OL to replace the loses plus signed FB Terrance Jackson, TE Moses Velasquez and WR Terrance McConkey in free agency. They also added 2 OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 25th
They lost last year's 2nd & 4th leading tackler to retirement and a backup DB departed in free agency. They drafted a LB in the 2nd rounder and a DB in the 1st round. They signed 5 DL, 1 LB and 3 DBs in free agency in hopes of improving on last year's 25th ranked defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and the primary returners all return for thus season.

PREDICTION: 8-8
Los Angeles has been a team in limbo for the past 5 seasons finishing right around 8-8 in 4 of those 5 seasons. The owner has a winning track record and the team has overall good speed but they just haven't been able to get over the proverbial hump in recent years.

VEGAS
OWNER: Claymore (28th season)
LAST SEASON: 3-13 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 20th
They lost a depth WR, a backup OL and a depth OL. They drafted 2 TEs, 2 WRs and 4 OL plus signed a veteran WR and OL in free agency.

They lost their top 2 tacklers from last seasons team to free agency plus they traded a starting DB for a draft pick. They also lost their 2nd leading pass rusher to retirement. They drafted a LB in the 2nd round and 2 DBs in the later rounds.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams unit returns from last season.

PREDICTION: 7-9
Vegas has been owned by one of the "founders" of the XFL for 28 seasons. For 18 of the past 27 seasons they have made the postseason. In recent years, they have missed the postseason 4 of the last 5 years and finished last season 3-13 which is the worst in francise history. They improve this season as they take a step back towards the postseason.

SEATTLE
OWNER: Rialto (11th season)
LAST SEASON: 3-13 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 27th
They lost their 4th string QB to retirement plus a depth TE left via free agency and a depth WR retired. They also lost 4 OL including 2 starters and 2 backups. They drafted 4 OL in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th rounds. They signed another QB and 3 OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 32nd
They lost 1 DE, 1LB & 2 DBs from last year's 32nd ranked defense. They drafted 2 DTs in the first 6 picks of the draft plus a DB in the 3rd round who should all start and improve the leagues worse defense. They also added a DE and LB in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both kickers and 2 returners return but 1 punt returner WR Stephan Allen retired after having a rare punt return TD last season.

PREDICTION: 4-12
The current owner has had 10 straight losing seasons and never finished better then 6-10 in a season. In fact, the Barbarians have exactly 6 combined wins the last 3 seasons. They lack overall team speed but with the drafting of 2 elite level DTs they should at least improve on run defense this season.

NORTH

MONTANA
OWNER: Trslick (30th season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (Division Champ)
OFFENSE: 19th
They lost their 4th leading receiver but all 11 starters return from last year's 19th ranked offense. They drafted a QB in the 3rd round who really turned heads in camp and could be the QB of the future for the Grizzlies. They signed a veteran WR to replace the lose plus signed a starting OL who can improve the offensive line.

DEFENSE: 8th
All 11 starters return from last season's 8th ranked defense but they lost depth a LB & DB when 2 players departed in free agency. They drafted a DE in the 2nd round and a DB in the 4th round plus they signed a starter at DE and depth at LB.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams unit returns for thus season and they are elite at every position.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Montana has been owned by one of the founders of the XFL for 30 seasons and they are coming off an 11-5 season and a NXC North division Title. The 11 wins is a francise best and they rode a top 10 defense to the postseason. The defense returns mostly intact with some additions and they will look to have back to back winning seasons since 2037 & 2038.

GEM CITY
OWNER: Raidergreg69 (29th season)
LAST SEASON: 9-7 (2nd place/Wildcard)
OFFENSE: 15th

Their 2nd leading rusher & receiver WR Alex Skolnick retired and their 4th leading rusher and 5th leading reciever left in free agency. They also let 2 OL depart in free agency, 1 starter and 1 backup. They drafted 1 WR Fab Morvan in the 1st round plus drafted 3 OL in the 3rd, 4th & 4th rounds. They also signed 1 TE, 4 WRs and 1 OL and they look to completely rebuild their offense.

DEFENSE: 15th
The entire defense returns including all 11 starters from last year's 15th ranked defense and they drafted a LB in the 2nd round to add depth. They signed 1 DE, 1 DT, 2 LBs and 1 DB to help improve the defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
One of the best special teams units in the league returns for another season.

PREDICTION: 10-6
Gem City has been owned by one of the founders of the XFL for 29 years but he is still only the 2nd longest tenured owner in the NXC North behind Trslick. 11 of the last 12 seasons, the Gangsters have had a winning record and they have completely rebuild their offense after making a big trade in the off-season. They should still have a winning record but may still be 1 step behind Montana in the North.

ZEHLENDORF
OWNER: Ctiger77 (14th season)
LAST SEASON: 3-13 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 23rd
They lost QB John Bennett to free agency who was one half of 2 starters last season. They traded their leading receiver WR John Enriquez to Washington for two 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder. They also lost a depth FB, a depth WR and a backup OL to free agency plus another backup OL to retirement. They drafted a QB, RB, 2 TEs, WR and a OL including the 2 TEs in the 1st and 2nd rounds. DEFENSE: 26th
They lost a depth DE and 2 starting DBs from last year's 26th ranked defense. The two DBs were 5th & 6th on the team in tackles and 3rd & 4th in passes defended. They drafted a DB in the 2nd round plus signed a LB and 2 DBs in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers and both returners return from last year's unit. They also drafted a Punter to add to a Punter they drafted last year giving them 3 punters on the roster.

PREDICTION: 4-12
Zehlendorf has gone 11 straight seasons with a losing record and after trading their best receiver for future picks, it looks like the streak will reach an even dozen.

SAINT PAUL
OWNER: pc2246 (6th season)
LAST SEASON: 2-14 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 30th
The QB and all the skill position players returned but 3 OL left in free agency and all 3 started. They drafted a TE and 2 OL including LG Mark Todd with the first pick of the 2nd round who will start in the XFL. They also signed an OL in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Their Kicker retired and their Punter left in free agency but the primary Returners both returned. They drafted a Kicker & a Punter in the 6th round and both have a chance to start.

PREDICTION: 4-12
The Punishers were once perennial contenders making the postseason 9 straight seasons (2030-2038) and winning 3 straight NXC Conference Championships (2035-2037) but they have fallen on hard times and have a 10 season streak with a losing record. In fact, the team has won just 10 games combined in the last 5 seasons. They have a few playmakers at WR and they have a solid LB core but they are still a ways away from having a winning record.

SOUTH

ATLANTA
OWNER: Hammond (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 15-1 (XFL CHAMP)
OFFENSE: 9th
They lost WR Richard Morillo in free agency who was a staple on 8 straight XFL Championship teams plus they also lost a depth WR. They drafted 3 TEs in the 6th & 7th rounds. They signed 2 veteran QBs in free agency plus traded for a OL from Philadelphia for a 4th, 5th & 6th rounder.

DEFENSE: 3rd
They lost 3 DL and 1 LB from last year's #3 defense including their 2nd leading pass rusher. They drafted 2 DBs in the 1st round as they reload their top 5 defense as they aim for a 9th straight Title. They traded for a DB from Vancouver and signed 2 more DBs in free agency to add depth.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The entire special teams unit returns for another run at the XFL Title. They also drafted a Punter and signed another Kicker to add competition to the Kickers room.

PREDICTION: 14-2
The Dominators have lived up to their name and dominated the XFL winning 8 consecutive Titles which is unprecedented. They won 5 under the former owner and 3 more under the current owner and until someone actually beats them in the postseason, they will remain the Champs!

MEMPHIS
OWNER: Legendruthless (10th season)
LAST SEASON: 11-5 (2nd place/Wildcard)
OFFENSE: 8th
They lost 2× former league MVP QB Anthony Henderson to retirement. They traded their leading rusher and 3rd leading receiver to Daytona for the 7th overall pick. They traded their 2nd leading rusher and 5th leading reciever to Washington for a 3rd & 4th rounder. They also lost 3 more depth WR and 1 depth RB through either free agency or trades. They lost 2 backup OL, 1 to free agency and 1 to retirement. They drafted 3 WRs and 2 OL including a WR with the 7th overall pick. They signed veteran QB John Bennett and 3 WRs in free agency plus they traded for 1 OL.

DEFENSE: 4th
They lost 1 LB and 3 DBs from last year's 4th ranked defense including their 3rd leading tackler. They drafted 1 DT and 2 DBs plus they signed a DB in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Both Kickers return but the primary returner was traded to Daytona for a 1st round pick. They also drafted a Kicker to compete for the starting job.

PREDICTION: 12-4
The Maniacs have had a winning record for 8 straight seasons and had tremendous success but like 31 other teams, they have been a victim of Atlanta's dominance. With their QB retiring and them trading away some offensive playmakers, Memphis is retooling to make another run at the Dominators.

CAROLINA
OWNER: Drhayhurst (8th season)
LAST SEASON: 5-11 (4th place)
OFFENSE: 29th
They lost their 2nd leading rusher to free agency and their 3rd leading receiver to retirement plus a depth TE to free agency. They also lost 2 starters from the OL, 1 to free agency and 1 to retirement. They drafted a TE, WR and an OL plus signed a TE and an OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 30th
They lost 1 DE, 3 LBs and 2 DBs from last year's 30th ranked defense including 2 starters at DB, 1 to free agency and 1 to retirement. They signed 2 LBs and 3 DBs in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
The complete special teams unit returns for another season including 2× ALLPRO Returner Gregory Dallas.

PREDICTION: 5-11
Carolina has had 8 straight losing seasons, 7 under the current owner as he bought the team right near the beginning of Atlanta's historic run in their division. They have an elite RB but lack overall team speed which will need to change if Carolina wants to compete in the loaded NXC South.

TAMPA BAY
OWNER: Action-Jackson (4th season)
LAST SEASON: 6-10 (3rd place)
OFFENSE: 18th
They only lost a depth FB from last year's 18th ranked offense among the skill positions. They dis lose 3 OL including 1 starter and 2 backups to free agency. They drafted a backup QB in the 4th round and a FB in the 7th round to replace the lose. They signed 2 veteran WRs and 2 OL in free agency.

DEFENSE: 17th
They lost 2 DL, 2 LBs and 5 DBs from last year's 17th ranked defense. The two DL were 2nd & 4th on the team in pass rush. One LB was 4th on the team in tackles. They drafted 2 LBs including one in the 1st round with the 11th overall pick. They also signed 2 DTs, 1 LB and 2 DBs in free agency.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
They lost both Kickers to free agency plus their primary returner walked in free agency. Luckily they had an additional Kicker & Punter on the roster and it's their time to start.

PREDICTION: 10-6
After buying the francise in 2046 and going 10-6, the Fireballs have finished 6-10 the past 2 seasons as the team focused on rebuilding the roster. They have some elite speed on both sides of the ball and should take a step towards contention this season.
