NEWS & NOTES (2054 WEEK 1)

XFL
We have 16 teams with a win and 16 teams with a lose while both Conferences have 8 wins a piece. That's all as it should be but Dakota, Buffalo, Philadelphia & Phoenix all lost and they are all perennial contenders.

Week 1 featured 3 shutouts while the 16 losing teams only scored a combined 109 points which works out to an average of just under a touchdown (6.8). Amazingly, 13 of the 16 losing teams in week 1 scored 10 points or less with the other scores being 11, 13 & 19.

Conversely, 8 of the 16 winning teams scored at least 30 points including 3 teams that eclipsed 50 points (Cincinnati/Los Angeles/Gem City). The 16 winning teams combined to score 489 points which is an average of just over 30 points (30.5).

That means the average score in week 1 was 30-7 and only 4 games were decided by 8 points or less with the closest game being a 6 point win where New York won 16-10 over but Pittsburgh scored a TD with 13 seconds remaining so the game wasn't as close as the score shows.

AXC
Dakota & Buffalo both lost in week 1 and it's just the second time in 37 seasons that has occurred. The only other time that happened was in 2044. The two teams have made the postseason a combined 69 times in 72 total opportunities. That means every single postseason has featured at least one of the two teams and 33 of the 36 postseasons had both teams!

WEST
Indiana, Kansas City and Oakland all won including KC beating division opponent Vancouver. Oakland destroyed Texas 45-3 and Texas is coming off a playoff appearance last season.

EAST
New England & New York won in week 1 including New England beating division rival Miami 10-3. Buffalo lost to Memphis in week 1 and they play Miami in week 2.

NORTH
Toronto & Cincinnati both won in week 1 and both teams pitched a shutout with Toronto winning 10-0 while Cincinnati shutout division rival Houston 54-0. Pittsburgh lost at New York 16-10.

SOUTH
Daytona beat Dakota 14-6 and sit alone atop the North after Texas lost 45-3 at home against Oakland and Orlando lost 31-9 at Indiana

NXC
The Conference had all the usual suspects win except Phoenix & Philadelphia while Seattle & Los Angeles got off to a great start.

EAST
The defending XFL Champs traveled to Phoenix and won 34-13 despite being disrespected by the schedule makers who had them open the season on the road. Brooklyn traveled to division rival Philadelphia and won 16-9 and Washington was shutout at home 10-0 by Toronto.

WEST
Los Angeles dominated division rival Vegas 57-10 and Seattle shutout Carolina 41-0 to sit atop the division. Phoenix hosted the defending Champs and lost 34-13 to find themselves out of 1st place for the first time since 2040!

NORTH
Gem City & Montana both won as these division rivals continue a decade long battle for the Title of "King of the North". Gem City hosted division rival Randolph and won 54-3 while Montana hosted division rival Saint Paul and won 31-10..

SOUTH
Atlanta & Memphis both won to sit atop the South. Atlanta traveled to Tampa Bay and won 19-3 while Memphis traveled to Buffalo and won 29-11.

NEWS & NOTES (2054 WEEK 7)

XFL

With 7 games in the book, we will take a look at the power rankings in each conference and the league as a whole.

AXC POWER RANKINGS

1. Cincinnati 93
2. Daytona 73
3. Dakota 62
4. New England 56
5. Kansas City 53
6. New York 51
7. Buffalo 48
8. Indiana 43
9. Oakland 37
10. Pittsburgh 23
11. Toronto 17
12. Miami 8
13. Vancouver -1
14. Orlando -6
15. Texas -17
16. Houston -33

1. Cincinnati (#1 seed) has become a power house in the AXC with 5 AXC Conference Championship game appearances & 3 AXC Conference Championships in the last 7 seasons. They hold a 20 point advantage over #2 Daytona in the AXC which is the largest separation between any 2 consecutive teams in the rankings!

2. Daytona (#2 seed) has become a perennial contender in the AXC with 5 postseason appearances in the last 5 seasons including 3 AXC South division Titles and a 2051 XFL Championship.

Either Cincinnati (5) or Daytona (4) has appeared in the AXC Conference Championship game in the last 7 seasons including 2 head to head matchups.

3. Dakota (#5 seed) remains a viable contender in the AXC with since they have made the postseason every season since the league's inception except in the year 2048. After making the AXC Conference Championship in 7 straight years from 2034-2040, they have just made just 2 AXC Conference Championship game appearances in the last 7 seasons. They still rank 2nd Alltime in AXC Conference Championship game appearances with 19 and 1st Alltime with 12 AXC Conference Championships.

4. New England (#3 seed) finds themselves in rarified air in 1st place in the AXC East. They haven't made the postseason or had a winning record the last 16 seasons. They host New York in week 8 where 1st place is on the line!

5. Kansas City (#9 seed) is in a three-way tie for 1st place in the AXC West but they have the highest rank among them. They have missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons after they won the division in 2051. They did make an appearance in the AXC Conference Championship game 10 years ago. They travel to Indiana in week 8 where the winner is guaranteed at least a tie for 1st in the division.

6. New York (#6 seed) finds themselves tied for 1st place in the AXC East with New England. They made the postseason in 6 of the last 8 seasons including division Tiles in 2048 & 2052. New York has never played in an AXC Conference Championship game. They travel to New England in week 8 with 1st place up for grabs and a chance to finish the 1st half of the season 6-2.

7. Buffalo (#7 seed) finds themselves in 3rd place in the AXC East, 1 game behind both New England & New York. The perennial playoff contender is 2nd Alltime in playoff appearances (34) and holds the record for AXC Conference Championship game appearances (20). They have played in the AXC Conference Championship game 3 times in the last 10 seasons, all loses and haven't won a Conference Tilte since going back to back in 2040 & 2041, 14 years ago. Buffalo is playing this season under protest since they lost to Memphis in week 1 where Memphis had an owner who was absent. The XFL commissioner CF Frederick had this to say about the protest: "Two teams with 46 active players and a full compliment of coaches met on the field with gameplans, 1 team won (Memphis), the other teams lost (Buffalo) and their is no basis for the protest submitted by Buffalo. The Memphis owner has subsequently lost ownership of his team after going 5-1 in his absence. The league is actively seeking a new owner but the while situation is a non story and not out of the ordinary.

8. Indiana (#8 seed) finds themselves in a 3-way tied for 1st place in the AXC West. They are the reigning 2× division Champs in the West and have made the postseason in 3 of the last 4 seasons. The francise has never played in an AXC Conference Championship game. They host KC in week 8 where the winner is guaranteed at least a share of 1st place.

9. Oakland #7 (seed) finds themselves in a 3-way tied for 1st place in the AXC West. They are ranked 9th in the power rankings but currently would make the playoffs if the season ended today. Oakland has 6 AXC Conference Championship game appearances and has won 3 AXC Conference Championships plus 2 XFL Titles but that is all ancient history since the team has missed the postseason the last 10 seasons and hasn't made the AXC Conference Championship game since 2029.

10. Pittsburgh (#10 seed) is already 4 games behind Cincinnati in the AXC North but they are only 1 game back for a possible Wildcard. They have recently missed the postseason the last 6 years but do have 3 AXC Conference Championship game appearances including 2 in the last 12 seasons. In 2043 & 2045 they won the AXC Conference Championship.

11. Toronto (#11 seed) is already 4 games behind Cincinnati in the AXC North but they are only 1 game back for a possible Wildcard. They have made the postseason the last 3 years and they have 1 AXC Conference Championship game appearance in 2041.

12-16 Miami ,Vancouver, Orlando, Texas, Houston

These 5 teams are either on the verge of elimination or already making plans for the off-season. 4 of the 5 teams are under new ownership including 3 owners in their 1st or 2nd full season.

Miami has missed the postseason the last 19 seasons.

Orlando has missed the postseason in 8 out of the last 9 seasons.

Texas made the postseason last year to break a 10 year postseason drought.

Houston has missed the postseason in 6 of the last 7 seasons.

Vancouver has missed the postseason the last 3 postseasons.

NXC POWER RANKINGS

1. Seattle 86
2. Brooklyn 80
3. Montana 79
4. Gem City 78
5. Providence 72
6. Memphis 61
7. Atlanta 58
8. Los Angeles 43
9. Philadelphia 27
10. Tampa Bay 18
11. Phoenix 13
12. Vegas 8
13. Saint Paul -8
14. Washington -14
15. Carolina -23
16. Randolph -27

1. Seattle (#2 seed) is somewhere they haven't been in 22 straight seasons, 1st place in the NXC West with a solid chance to not only make the postseason but win in the postseason. The last 22 seasons they haven't reached the postseason and had just 1 winning season at 9-7 in 2035. Way back in 2021-2022 they played in back to back NXC Conference Championship games and they won the NXC Conference Championship game in 2021. Since 2022, they have only made the postseason twice in those 31 years. They play 8 of their last 9 games against teams currently with losing records.

2. Brooklyn (#1 seed) leads the NXC East by 2 games over the defending Champs Providence plus they have a win under their belts over the Islanders. They have made the playoffs in 4 of the last 5 seasons including a 2052 division Title. Brooklyn has made 5 NXC Conference Championship game appearances but the last was in 2036, 19 years ago. They play 6 of those last 9 games versus teams who currently have a losing record.

3. Montana (#5 seed) is currently tied for 1st place with Gem City in the NXC North division. They have made the postseason 3 times in the last 6 seasons including a win in the 2051 NXC Conference Championship game which is their only appearance in the Conference Championship game. They play Gem City twice in weeks 10 & 13 which will help decide the eventual King of the North.

4. Gem City (#3 seed) is currently tied for 1st place with Montana in the NXC North division. They have made the postseason in 15 of the last 17 seasons and have made 3 NXC Conference Championship game appearances which all resulted in wins. They are only 1 of 8 teams with 2 XFL Titles. They play Montana twice in weeks 10 & 13 which will help decide the eventual King of the North.

5. Providence (#6 seed) is 2 games behind undefeated Brooklyn in the NXC East. They have made 13 straight postseason appearances and have been to 6 NXC Conference Championship games which culminated with their 1st XFL Title last year. They have a crucial rematch with Brooklyn in week 11 followed by their last 5 games versus teams currently with losing records.

6. Memphis (#7 seed) is tied with Atlanta at 5-2 but they are in 2nd place because they lost their head to head match in week 2. They are a team without an owner after week 6 and going forward we will see how that effects their performance on the field. The francise has played in 4 NXC Conference Championship games including 3 in the last 12 seasons. They travel to Atlanta for a key rematch with Atlanta in week 13.

7. Atlanta (#4 seed) is ranked just below Memphis despite the fact they own 1st place in the NXC South thanks in large part to their head to head win versus the Maniacs. The francise has made the postseason in 13 of the last 14 seasons and they have made 14 NXC Conference Championship game appearances which is 3rd most Alltime and 1st Alltime among NXC teams. Their claim to fame is owning the most XFL Titles (10) which is twice the next closest francise (Dakota 5). They also won 8 straight Tiltes from 2041-2048 with no other team ever winning more then 2 in a row. They play key games versus undefeated Brooklyn in week 9 and division rival Memphis in week 13.

8. Los Angeles (#10 seed) finds themselves in familiar territory which is stuck in the middle. They are 3 games out of 1st place in the NXC West and 2 games out of a Wildcard spot. They have missed the postseason the last 14 years which is incredible since their combined record the last 4 seasons is 34-30 and still zero postseasons. They did make 1 NXC Conference Championship game in 2037. The irony is that the owner is well respected and a former 12 time Title winner in another professional league (MFN-2). 5 of their last 9 games are versus teams currently with winning records.

9. Philadelphia (#8 seed) finds themselves on the outside looking into the playoffs since they trail in their division by 4 games plus they are 2 games behind in the Wildcard race. The team has made the postseason in 15 of the last 16 years while the francise has played in 5 NXC Conference Championship games including their last appearance in 2050. The schedule doesn't get any easier as they play 5 of the last 9 games versus playoff contenders including the next 2 games versus Brooklyn (7-0) then Cincinnati (7-0).

10. Tampa Bay (#11 seed) is in 3rd place in the NXC South and they trail by 3 games in both the division & Wildcard race. The francise has made just 1 NXC Conference Championship game back in 2038 and they have missed the postseason in 13 of the last 14 years.

11. Phoenix (#9 seed) finds themselves in very unfamiliar territory since they trail their division & the Wildcards by a full 3 games. They have made the postseason the last 14 seasons and have made 7 NXC Conference Championship game appearances which is tied for 4th most Alltime.

12-16 Vegas, Saint Paul, Washington, Carolina, Randolph

These 5 teams are either on the verge of elimination or already making off-season plans.

Vegas has missed the postseason in 6 of the last 7 years but they have played in 5 NXC Conference Championship games including 3 wins in the big game.

Saint Paul has missed the postseason the last 15 years but they have played in 7 NXC Conference Championship games which is tied for 4th most Alltime.

Washington have missed the postseason in 5 of the last 6 years but the francise has played in 2 NXC Conference Championship games including the 2050 NXC Conference Championship which they won!

Carolina has missed the postseason the last 14 years but the francise has played in 4 NXC Conference Championship games including winning 2 of them.

Randolph has missed the postseason the last 17 years but the francise has played in 5 NXC Conference Championship games including winning 4 of them which ranks 4th most Alltime.

LEAGUE LEADERS

PASSING

QB GARY FIELDING (CIN)

The reigning and 4× League MVP is making a strong case to win his 5th MVP! He leads the league in passing yards (2,397), 2nd in passing TDs (20), 1st in yds/att (9.47) and 1st with a 115.01 QBR while throwing only 4 interceptions.

QB STANLEY MCKEON (SEA)

This 7th year starter for Seattle is having his best season of his career with 1,864 passing yards (6th), 21 TD passes (1st), a 7.64 yds/att (4th) and a 102.22 QBR (5th) while throwing 9 interceptions.

QB REMY BEAUCAMP (DAK)

This former #1 overall pick who has been considered a huge bust during his first 11 seasons is an unlikely dark horse to win a MVP. He has only started 5 games after QB Derek Brewer began the season 0-2. In his 5 starts, he has 1,983 yards passing (3rd), 18 TD passes (3rd), a 8.4 yds/att (2nd) and a 109.48 QBR (2nd) while throwing just 4 interceptions.

RUSHING

WR JULIO HAMILTON (CIN)

After being named ALLPRO for 4 straight seasons (2049-2052), he was ousted by WR Dennis Moore (ATL) who set a new single season rushing record. He leads the league with 774 yards rushing, 2nd in rushing TDs (7) and leads the league with a 6.6 yds/att average among backs with at least 100 rushes.

The next closest back is 249 yards rushing behind Hamilton!

He leads the league with 897 yards receiving and 11 TD receptions and seems like a lock for 1 of the 2 ALLPRO selection barring injury.

WR PETER WOOD (DAK)

He is 2nd in the league with 696 yards receiving while he is only 10th in TD receptions (3)

WR LAWRENCE NEWCOMB (VBA)

He is 3rd in the league with 693 yards receiving while he is 24th in TD receptions (2)

He is 4th in the league with 635 yards receiving while he is 2nd in the league with 8 TD receptions.

WR REINALDO MILLET (MEM)
WR GEORGE ANDRADE (LAC)
WR STERLING DRAKE (DAK)

These 3 receivers have 568 (5th), 563 (6th) & 560 (7th) yards receiving respectfully and 5 TD receptions each (3rd). All 3 could become the 2nd ALLPRO with a great final 9 games.

WR JOSHUA JACKSON (VAN)

NEWS & NOTES (2054 WEEK 10)

XFL
10 games are in the book so let's take a look and each team, division and conference and figure out who's likely in or out!

AXC
This Conference only has 6 teams with winning records, 5 teams with losing records and an amazing 5 teams sit at 5-5. The Conference has 13 teams within 3 games of making the postseason while only 3 teams are essentially eliminated. 11 teams are within 1 game of the postseason while 8 teams are within 1 game of winning their division.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
WEST
Oakland 5-5 (3-1)
Kansas City 5-5 (2-2)
Indiana 5-5 (2-2)
Vancouver 3-7 (0-2)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#4 OAKLAND
They are in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the AXC but currently hold the tiebreaker with a 3-1 divisional record. They play 3 road games and 3 home games down the stretch and only have 1 game remaining versus a winning team (Gem City). They also have 2 games left versus division opponent Vancouver (3-7).
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#9 KANSAS CITY
They are in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the AXC but currently they sit in 2nd place based on their 2-2 division record. They play 3 road games and 3 home games down the stretch and have 2 games remaining versus winning teams (Dakota/Daytona). They also have 2 division games remaining versus Indiana & Vancouver. They are currently 1 game behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot but they lost to New York head to head.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#11 INDIANA
They are in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the AXC but currently they sit in 3rd place based on their 2-2 division record. They play 3 road games and 3 home games down the stretch and have 3 games remaining versus winning teams (Gem City/Dakota/Montana). They also have 2 division games remaining versus Kansas City & Vancouver. They are currently 1 game behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#13 VANCOUVER
They are currently in 4th place in the AXC West and sit 2 games behind all 3 division opponents. Amazingly, of they win out, they would have a solid chance to win the division since 4 of their last 6 games are versus division opponents including 2 versus 1st place Oakland. 4 of their last 6 games are on the road but they have zero games versus teams with winning records remaining. They are currently 3 games behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
New England 8-2 (2-0)
Buffalo 7-3 (2-0)
New York 6-4 (1-3)
Miami 5-5 (1-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#3 NEW ENGLAND
They are currently in 1st place in the AXC East and have a 1 game lead over Buffalo. They have 4 of their last 6 games at home but they have 3 games remaining versus teams with winning records (Buffalo×2/New York). They play 4 of their last 6 games against division opponents including 2 games versus Buffalo.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#6 BUFFALO
They are currently in 2nd place in the AXC East, 1 game behind New England. They play 4 of their 6 games on the road and have 4 games remaining versus teams with winning records (New England×2/New York/Daytona). They also play 4 of the last 6 games versus division opponents including 2 games versus 1st place New England.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#7 NEW YORK
They are currently in 3rd place in the AXC East, 2 games behind New England and 1 game behind Buffalo. They play 5 of their last 6 games at home but all 6 of their remaining games are against teams with winning records (Dakota/Cincinnati/Buffalo/New England/Memphis/Atlanta). Obviously, they play 2 division games in their last 6 versus the 2 teams ahead of them.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#10 MIAMI
They currently sit in 4th place in the AXC East, 3 games behind New England, 2 games behind Miami and 1 game behind New York. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road and they play 4 winning teams (Buffalo/New England/Memphis/Cincinnati). They only have 2 division games left versus the 1st & 2nd place teams. They are currently 1 game behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot and they split their season series with New York.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
NORTH
Cincinnati 10-0 (3-0)
Toronto 5-5 (2-2)
Pittsburgh 3-7 (2-2)
Houston 0-10 (0-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#1 CINCINNATI
They are currently in 1st place in the AXC North by 5 full games over 2nd place Toronto. They can literally clinch the division with a home win against winless Houston (0-10) in week 11. They play 5 of their last 6 games at home and have 3 games left versus teams with winning records (New York/Daytona). As things sit currently, their week 16 matchup with Daytona (9-1) could decide which team clinches them Bye in the AXC.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#8 TORONTO
They currently sit in 2nd place in the AXC North, a full 5 games behind undefeated Cincinnati. With the division most likely being clinched in week 11, Toronto must set their sights on one of the three Wildcard spots. Toronto is currently the #8 seed and on the outside, looking into the postseason. They trail New York for the #7 seed by 1 game plus they own a win over New York which gives them an important tiebreaker. They play 3 home games and 3 road games down the stretch and have 3 games versus teams with winning records remaining (Brooklyn/Cincinnati/Dakota) plus they play 2 teams currently at 5-5 (KC/Philadelphia).
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#12 PITTSBURGH
They are currently in 3rd place in the AXC North, a full 7 games back which has them officially eliminated from winning the division. They are also a full 3 games behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot. They play 3 home games and 3 road games down the stretch and have 2 games versus teams with winning records remaining (New England/Cincinnati) plus they play 2 teams currently at 5-5 (Oakland/Miami). They are currently 3 games behind #7 seed New York for the last Wildcard spot plus they lost to New York to lose that tiebreaker.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#16 HOUSTON
They are currently in 4th place in the AXC North, a full 10 games behind Cincinnati and they have the honor of being the 1st team to be officially eliminated from the postseason. It gets worse since 5 of their last 6 games are on the road and they have 2 games left against winning teams (Cincinnati/Buffalo) plus they play 2 teams sitting at 5-5 (Toronto/Philadelphia). On the bright side, Houston is currently in line to have the #1 overall pick where they can finally give QB Alfred Duquette a playmaker with elite speed!
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
SOUTH
Daytona 9-1 (4-0)
Dakota 8-2 (4-1)
Orlando 1-9 (0-3)
Texas 1-9 (0-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#2 DAYTONA
They are currently in 1st place in the AXC South, 1 game ahead of Dakota who they beat in their first matchup at home in week 1. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road and have 3 games remaining versus teams with winning records (Dakota/Buffalo/Cincinnati). They week 13 game at Dakota (8-2) will help decide the winner of the division and the week 16 matchup at Cincinnati may well decide which team secures the Bye in the AXC.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#5 DAKOTA
They currently sit in 2nd place in the AXC South, 1 game behind Daytona who they lost too in week 1. They play 4 of their last 6 games at home and they have 2 games left versus winning teams (New York/Daytona). Their week 13 home games versus Daytona will go along long way in deciding the AXC South Champ. They currently hold the #5 seed in the AXC which is the top Wildcard spot and they do play 3 teams currently sitting at 5-5 (KC/Indiana/Toronto).
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#14 ORLANDO
They currently sit in 3rd place in the AXC South, 8 games behind Daytona which means they can't win the division. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road and they play 2 games versus teams with winning records (Daytona/New England). They are currently the 14th seed in the AXC and a full 5 games behind New York for the last Wildcard spot. They are 1 lose or 1 New York win away from being officially eliminated and they are currently in line for a top 5 draft pick.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#15 TEXAS
They currently sit in 4th place in the AXC South, 8 game behind Daytona which means they can't win the division. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road and they play zero games versus teams with winning records. They are currently the 15th seed in the AXC and a full 5 games behind New York for the last Wildcard spot. They are 1 lose or 1 New York win away from being officially eliminated and they are currently in line for a top 5 draft pick.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

NXC
The Conference has 7 teams with winning records, 7 teams with losing records and 2 teams at 5-5. That leaves just 9 teams within a 1½ games of making the postseason and just 7 teams within 1 game of winning a division. 3 teams are essentially eliminated while 4 others are on life support with family gathered around.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Providence 8-2 (1-1)
Brooklyn 7-3 (3-1)
Philadelphia 5-5 (1-2)
Washington 2-8 (1-2)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#2 PROVIDENCE
They are currently in 1st place in the NXC East, 1 full games ahead of Brooklyn but they lost at home to Brooklyn in week 5 with the rematch this week at Brooklyn. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road but their only remaining game versus a team with a winning record is this week's game versus Brooklyn where 1st place in the division is up for grabs.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#6 BROOKLYN
They are currently in 2nd place in the NXC East, 1 game behind Providence who they own a win against with the rematch being this week at home. They play 3 home games and 3 road games down the stretch and they play just 1 team with a winning record and it's there week 11 home game versus Providence. They are currently the 6th seed in the NXC, a ½ game behind #5 Montana and a ½ game ahead of #7 Memphis. They have a 1½ games lead over the #8 seed Philadelphia & #9 seed Phoenix and they split with Philadelphia in the season series.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#8 PHILADELPHIA
They are currently in 3rd place in the NXC East, a full 3 games behind Providence and 2 games behind Brooklyn. They play 5 of their last 6 games at home and have 3 games left versus teams with winning records (Providence×2/Atlanta). They are currently the 8th seed, 1½ games behind Memphis for the final Wildcard spot but they lost to Memphis head to head in week 5 to lose a potential tiebreaker.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#14 WASHINGTON
They are currently in 4th place in the NXC East, a full 6 games behind Providence which means they are officially eliminated from winning the division. They play 4 of their last 6 games on the road and they play 2 games versus winning teams (Providence/Brooklyn) remaining. They are currently the 14th seed in the NXC, 4½ games behind #7 seed Memphis for the last Wildcard spot. They are essentially in a "win out" scenario where 1 more lose and 1 Memphis win will eliminate them.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
WEST
Seattle 9-1 (3-0)
Phoenix 5-5 (2-2)
Los Angeles 3-7 (2-3)
Vegas 3-7 (1-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
#1 SEATTLE
They are currently in 1st place in the NXC West, a full 4 games ahead of the reigning and 13 straight division Champ Phoenix. They own a win versus Phoenix already with the rematch in week 13.
