Its better late then ever so lets get things started. Everyone should know the deal, this is my opinion based on my weights and done for entertainment purposes. Please don't take any insult or offense based upon my review. I give my unfiltered opinion in a spirit of fairness and everybody can check the Draft history thread and find out how many times I've been wrong.

1.1
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks
TE Richard Wallis 36/94
Vol 88
6' 3" 253 lbs
Southern California

Daytona comes out swinging by gambling this combine stud will match his seeming unlimited potential. His size, speed and strength make him a truly versatile player who scouts see as either a TE, FB, RB or even a big WR. This is a high risk/high reward type pick where he could fizzle out in the pros and never come close to his potential or become a future Hall of Famer. Daytona hasn't had a winning season for 6 years and has never made the playoffs so this pick could solidify this francise and lead them to greatness.

Grade A

1.2
Memphis Maniacs
DT Jeffrey Hamman 42/86
Vol 88
6' 2" 309 lbs
Oklahoma

Another risky pick on this large individual out of Oklahoma. He was a dominate inside pass rusher in college and if he can make a successful transition into the XFL, he could be a dominant force. Scouts love his size and strength but questions about his attitude and work ethic may him a gamble this high in the draft.

Grade A-

1.3
Montana Grizzlies
RB James Shutts 39/90
Vol 40
5' 10" 208 lbs
Carleton

Many scouts projected this player to go #1 overall. He is the definition of a complete back matching a powerful compact frame with elite speed and great hands for catching passes out of the backfield. If he can just come close to his potential he could lead the Grizzles and owner Trslick to their 1st winning record in francise history.

Grade A+

1.4
Washington Warriors
WLB Antone Tolle 40/83
Vol 6
6' 2" 242 lbs
Tuskegee

He played outside linebacker in college but scouts believe he is a complete linebacker with the intelligence, speed and cover skills to play MLB in the XFL. If he plays inside or outside linebacker, he instantly becomes the best LB on the roster and should help the team end its 10 year playoff drought.

1.5
New York Empire
RDE Jose Matheney 34/89
Vol 20
6' 3" 275 lbs
Northwestern

New York lands this pass rusher out of Northwestern and he instantly upgrades their defensive line. He can play either LDE or RDE and adds some speed to the unit. New York will hopefully end their 12 year playoff drought or at least have their first winning season in that time period.

Grade A

1.6
Toronto Titans
RT Gregory Beard 37/87
Vol 20
6' 4" 305 lbs
Kansas

Toronto takes the scouts top offensive lineman in this years draft. He has great size, speed and elite strength and scouts believe his best position would be either guard or LT. Based on Toronto's roster, he is best suited at LT or they may keep him at RT and put him next to dominate RG Jeffrey Cueto.

Grade A

1.7
Atlanta Dominators
WR James Ungar 35/87
Vol 46
6' 0" 194 lbs
Ball State

Atlanta has had 3 straight down seasons after 10 straight playoff appearances. Ungar fills a need at WR and instantly becomes WR1 on the roster. His elite speed is matched by some great pass catching and route running skills plus he adds kick returning to the team.

1.8
Arizona Wranglers
SLB Jack Gibson 37/82
Vol 12
5' 11" 245 lbs
Pittsburgh

Gibson is another outside linebacker in college that scouts believe can play the middle based on his pass cover, tackling and pass rush ability. Scouts view him as a cant miss prospect due to attitude and work ethic.

Grade A

1.9
Los Angeles Challengers
SS Johnathon Correa 40/83
Vol 20
5' 10" 196 lbs
Washington

Correa played safety in college but scouts believe his combination of speed and cover skills could make him an elite cornerback in the XFL.

Grade A

1.10
Vegas Black Aces
SLB Andrew Reed 39/84
Vol 30
6' 0" 233 lbs
Arizona

Another outside linebacker in college that scouts believe can play either inside or outside with sideline to sideline speed and great cover skills.

Grade A

1.11
Cincinnati Defenders
WLB Max Arnold 34/77
Vol 2
6' 0" 225 lbs
Vanderbilt

The run on linebackers continues as Arnold is the 4th to go in the top 11 and 3rd in the last 4 picks. Another versatile linebacker who can play inside or outside with decent cover skills but his pass rush ability is his strongest attribute.

Grade A

1.12
Miami Nemesis
WR Joseph Ellis 38/82
Vol 38
5' 11" 192 lbs
Denison

Miami entered the draft with just 2 wide receivers on their roster and Ellis helps fill a need with this speedster from a division III program. Scouts love his measurables and if he can successfully make the jump to the XFL, he could become a starter quickly

Grade A

1.13
New England Crusaders
FS Edwardo Goins 51/88
Vol 88
6' 0" 202 lbs
Florida State

The 2nd defensive back to go in the 1st round is a Florida State standout. Scouts love his potential especially at CB but there are some off the field issues which dropped him out of the top 10. If he blossoms and focuses on football, he can easily become a top corner in the XFL.

1.14
Philadelphia Slayers
RT Darrell Reyes 27/84
Vol 22
6' 4" 320 lbs
Illinois

This mountain of a man is viewed by scouts as a dominant run blocking right guard although he is capable of playing anywhere on the line except Center.

Grade A

1.15
Houston Roughnecks
RG Chester Sage 46/88
Vol 56
6' 4" 299 lbs
Stevenson University

Sage has tremendous upside and is considered one of the top three offensive linemen in the draft. Coming from a smaller college and being a little light for his height have raised some doubts but he could easily transition to the XFL and play either tackle or guard position.

Grade A-

1.16
Los Angeles Challengers
WR Daniel Horton 31/81
Vol 20
5' 11" 207 lbs
Mississippi State

LA uses their 2nd pick in the 1st round to add this highly rated wide receiver out of Mississippi State. He is a versatile player that could return kicks and get some carries out of the backfield. His speed is good just below elite and his recieving skills are well rounded if not elite.

Grade A

1.17
Tampa Bay Fireballs
CB Jeffrey Poison 41/86
Vol 86
6' 1" 206 lbs
Florida State

The 2nd defensive back from Florida State to go in the 1st round is a talented cornerback with great potential but like Goins, he has off the field concerns which dropped him out of the top ten. If his transition to the XFL goes well, there is no reason he couldn't become a lockdown corner in the league.

1.18
Gem City Gangsters
RDE Thomas Bailey 34/91
Vol 96
6' 3" 275 lbs
Acorn State

Another combine star who scored high across the board on his measurables and scouts love his potential to become a dominant defensive end in the XFL but he is a raw talent coming out of a small college program and everything will hinge on how coachable he will be in training camp.

Grade A

1.19
New England Crusaders
FS Stanley Lloyd 37/80
Vol 30
6' 1" 206 lbs
Florida State

The 3rd defensive back to go in the 1st round from Florida State's dominant secondary is perhaps the safest pick of the three. His speed, intelligence and tackling ability make him an ideal safety.

Grade A

1.20
Michigan Wolverines
MLB Royal Valentino 40/78
Vol 66
5' 11" 245
Alabama

The 5th linebacker taken in the 1st round is a solid all around middle linebacker but he lacks high end speed which dropped his draft position. On the plus side, he gets to play behind Jack Lambert and learn from one of the best.

Grade B+

1.21
Providence Islanders
WR Jack Weir 40/83
Vol 78
5' 11" 197 lbs
Texas Tech

Providence lands this wide receiver with elite speed out of Texas Tech. He has shown an elite ability to fight off being jammed at the line of scrimmage and if he can make a successful transition to the XFL, he could become an elite level reciever.

Grade A

1.22
Denver Extreme
SS Arthur Arechiga 38/85
Vol 90
6' 0" 200 lbs
Wake Forest

Denver takes a flyer on this defensive back out of Wake Forest who lacks high end speed but scouts love his cover skills and believe he can make the transition to the XFL and contribute in the secondary at either safety or corner.

Grade B+

1.23
Pittsburgh Blitzkreieg
C Anthony Struck 32/72
Vol 28
6' 4" 270 lbs
Louisiana State

The first puzzling selection as Pittsburgh selects this center that scouts have ranked as the 5th or 6th best center in the draft. The first center selected has elite snapping skills and apparently the Pittsburgh front office saw something in him that other scouts missed.

1.24
Saint Paul Punishers
FS Frank John 40/77
Vol 44
5' 9" 204 lbs
Oklahoma

The Punishers select this sparkplug of a safety from Oklahoma known for his speed and power when tackling. Scouts have questioned his size at safety in the XFL but there is no question his speed will play.

Grade B+

1.25
Seattle Barbarians
MLB Terry Tuohy 35/73
Vol 50
6' 0" 240 lbs
Michigan

The 6th linebacker taken in the first round is this college MLB who scouts view more as an outside linebacker in the XFL. Scouts question his tackling at times but his cover skills can be elite level.

Grade B

1.26
Washington Warriors
MLB Earnest Cornwell 33/76
Vol 42
6' 0" 251
North Carolina

Yet another linebacker taken in the 1st round is this college middle linebacker who scouts love as an outside backer in the XFL. He has elite speed and cover skills but he showed signs of struggling stopping the run.

Grade B+

1.27
Brooklyn Hitmen
LDE James Colon 37/83
Vol 76
6' 3" 250 lbs
Oklahoma State

This dominate college pass rusher falls to the end of the 1st round. Scouts have questioned his size at defensive end and his ability to consistently stop the run but nobody doubts his speed, quickness and pass rushing ability.

Grade A-

1.28
Oakland Outlaws
SLB Pedro Janik 37/75
Vol 38
6' 1" 247
Texas

Another linebacker comes off the board in the 1st round but scouts see him more as a tweener who could play on the defensive line as a pass rusher.

1.29
Carolina Cobras
CB Stephen Adams 31/70
Vol 34
5' 9" 189 lbs
Iowa

Carolina takes a chance on this tiny cornerback out of Iowa with world class speed and shows scouts signs he can be a very good cover man. Doubts on his size and tackling ability plus inability to jam at the line of scrimmage dropped him in the draft.

Grade A-

1.30
Miami Nemesis
WR Patrick Joseph 34/77
Vol 30
6' 1" 211 lbs
Michigan State

Miami lands this speedy wide reciever out of Michigan State with the 30th pick. For a team on the rise adding a 2nd wide receiver in the 1st round with elite speed could be the missing pieces that propels them into playoff contention.

Grade A

1.31
Dakota Blizzard
CB Vincent Stoner 29/77
Vol 94
5' 11" 229
Syracuse

The Blizzard scored at will on offense and look to improve on defense with this project pick. They will try to convert this linebacker into a cover corner.

Grade B-

1.32
Zehlendorf Zecken
LDE Shelby Harris 46/84
Vol 72
6' 2" 281 lbs
Colorodo

The defending Champs select this pass rusher from Colorodo who has elite size and strength and scouts like his potential to develop into a 3 down defensive end in the XFL.
