Heading into the 2020 playoffs, let's take a look at the teams.
AMERICAN CONFERENCE
1..Cincinnati (fhunt3)
After an impressive undefeated season, Cincy makes it second straight playoff appearance, losing to Dakota in the Wild card round last season. They went 4-0 against teams in the playoffs this season including 2 wins over Pittsburgh and handing Oakland it's only loss.
2..Buffalo (smirt211)
A 15-1 season finds Buffalo making its first playoff appearance. An almost perfect season with 3 wins against playoff teams including wins against Dakota, Houston and Seattle.
3..Oakland (privatesnowflake)
The defending champions put together a 15-1 season with the only loss coming to undefeated Cincinnati.
It wasnt good enough in this stacked conference to get a bye. Oakland makes its second straight playoff appearance with a playoff record of 3-0.
4..Dakota (cjfred68)
The Blizzard make there third straight playoffs including winning the first XFL championship. A veteran playoff team sporting a 6-1 record in the playoffs including 5 road wins.
5..Houston (dyluckyguess)
A hugh turnaround for the franchise making the first playoff appearance after winning a combined 5 games the first two seasons. They match up against division rival Dakota in the wild card round after splitting 2 games during the regular season with the win coming in Dakota.
6..Pittsburgh (phareux)
They make there third straight playoff appearance. In the wild card round, they have a rematch with Oakland from last years Divional round, a game Oakland won in a shootout 44-35
NATIONAL CONFERENCE
1..Atlanta (chrisbronext)
Atlanta claims the top seed in the conference and seems poised to make another run towards the championship. Last season they lost a heartbreaker in the championship game by 2 points to Oakland.
2..Greenbay (beefkababb)
They make there third straight playoffs with a 2-2 record in the playoffs with both wins coming at home. As the number 2 seed, they may need to find a way to win a playoff game on the road if they want to make it to the championship game.
3..Washington (crm63)
Washington is the 4th team to have made it to the playoffs every year in the XFL, like Greenbay they have a 2-2 record in the playoffs with both wins coming at home.
4..Seattle (timreesejr)
This is Seattles first trip to the postseason after a 10-6 season and a division championship. They have come a long way from the 4-12 season in year one.
5..Carolina (jon75)
After winning the conference championship in there first season, Carolina missed the playoffs last season and barely made the playoffs this season with an 8-8 record. Still they have playoff experience and could be dangerous
6..Philadelphia (jdaniels327)
Under new ownership in 2020, Philly makes it in back to back playoffs and have a wild card rematch with Washington who won 27-13 last season. We will see if the new owner can be the difference in this game
