Never intended to make a deep run in year one with the Chaos, but we are really feeling the reckoning of bad AI contracts this off-season with over 100mil in dead money. Most of the trade bait is standard salary dumps, but the gem of the group is clearly Underwood. I hate even putting a 4th year stud like him on the market, but he is going to cost an arm and leg to resign. By the same token, my team finances will not allow for another 1st round pick this year that will essentially cost the same amount on the default rookie contract. Let’s just say I’ve already received at least one offer for him, but I am going to need bids to include FUTURE picks as opposed to this upcoming draft. I wish I could be more flexible, but there is less than zero wiggle room on salary this season.
