We had quite an interesting final season in Minnesota, taking over an 0-6 team and finishing 7-3 to ruin what once was a top 5 draft pick. Attendance was sporadic, averaging 46,000 for the 5 home games under my ownership. Considering I announced the move to Dayton right away, I'm actually pleased by the turnout despite the 20,000 empty seats.
Stats wise, there isn't much to talk about. Mervin Couture only threw for 3441 yards with a 17/8 TD/INT ratio in 16 games and we had no 1000 yard rusher or receiver. Edward Papa rushed for 933 yards and 3 of our team's 4 rushing TD's while our leading receiver was TE Jose Holahan with 986 yards and 7 TD's on 48 receptions. He had 11 drops though, OUCH!
Defensively we only had 10 sacks and 34 hurries all season as a team, while on most of my other teams those would be the stats of 1 player. Finding a pass rush will be a top priority this offseason.
Despite the 7-3 stretch run, my team still needs a lot of work to get where I want it.
Thanks for 4 good seasons Minnesota but now it's time to pack our bags for the Gem City, aka Dayton, OH.
