2048 INDUCTEES

RB John Love
Oakland Outlaws

12 seasons
Oakland (10)
Buffalo (2)

He was drafted with the 18th pick of the 1st round in the 2036 draft by Oakland out of Arizona State. After the draft, this was the breakdown: "Love is the 4th RB to go in the 1st round as the new rule changes being instituted in the XFL this seasonĀ  favor teams with legimate backs to carry the rock. Mock drafts had him going in front of Pine and Boston so Oakland had to be ecstatic he fell to them. Oakland has 2x ALLPRO back Hamlett who has rushed for at least 1,000 yards the past 3 seasons and Love will ease into the rotation as Hamlett gets older." Love rushed for over 1,000 yards his rookie season and followed it up with 7 more 1,000 yard rushing seasons as he became the Alltime rushing king with 11,280 rushing yards. He added another 5,482 yards receiving & 2,811 return yards to finish his career 2nd Alltime in Total yards (19,574), just 159 Total yards off the Alltime record held by HOF WR Bert Reynolds. Love becomes the 12th RB elected into the Hall and he did it unanimously on his 1st ballot. He is the 6th player for Oakland enshrined and joins fellow Oakland RB Alberto Brooks. With Love's selection into the HOF, he becomes the 100th member to wear a gold jacket.

FB Garrett Montgomery
Saint Paul

2034, 2038 & 2039 ALLPRO
11 seasons
Saint Paul (7)
New York (4)

He was taken with the 5th overall pick of the 2034 draft by New York out of Illinois. This was the chatter after his selection: "A FB going number 5 overall immediately sets off alarm bells but some scouts believe if Montgomery can drop some weight, his combination of speed and power could make him a dominate running back. He is a high character player who should put in the work needed to lose weight and switch positions. His pass catching skills are graded good so he could become a featured back." He would spend 4 seasons with the Empire before becoming a free agent in 2038 where he sighed a mega deal with Saint Paul. The FB has become endangered in the XFL as teams have transitioned to smaller, faster players over the years so thankfully Montgomery didnt listen to the so called experts and change. He was a throwback who prided himself on his blocking while he contributed when called upon. He allowed just 8 sacks on over 4000 pass blocks while he ranks 12th Alltime in rushing (1057), 2nd Alltime in receptions (489), 3rd Alltime in receiving yards (3,760) & 2nd Alltime in Total yards (4,819) among FBs. He becomes the first "true" FB elected into the HOF and he did it on his 1st ballot. He is the 5th player for Saint Paul enshrined and the 101st HOFer.

MLB Morgan Elliot
New York

2038, 2039, 2040, 2041 & 2042 ALLPRO
8 seasons
New York (6)
Philadelphia (2)

He was drafted with the 15th overall pick of the 2036 draft by New York out of Ohio State. The post draft analysis was: "The 3rd Buckeye comes off the board in the top 15 players in the draft. Elliott was the captain of the National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes defense and scouts view him as a complete all around MLB. He has the size and strength along with good not great speed to stop the run, play coverage and even rush the quarterback. The question scouts have is that he played beside #2 overall pick Bordeaux and will he transition to the XFL without him beside him. The good news is he will have veteran LB Crabtree to play beside him in New York so only time will tell." Time told the story that Elliot was an ALLPRO in 5 of the 8 seasons he played in the XFL. Elliot had a short but dominant career and he had to wait until his 5th & final year on the ballot before finally getting the call he had been waiting for. Because his career only lasted 8 seasons, he isn't at the top of the leader boards in tackles, knockdowns or interceptions but his 5 ALLPRO's ties him with 4 other players for the most by a defensive player. SLB Andrew Reed, MLB Eric Aguirre, MLB Dwight McEwen & CB Kevin Tefft are the other 4 players and the first 3 are already in the HOF while Tefft has won 7 straight Titles with Atlanta and will become a 1st ballot HOFer once he hangs up his cleats. He is the 5th player for New York enshrined and becomes the 102nd HOFer.

LDE Shelby Harris
Tampa Bay

2038 ALLPRO
2032 NXC Conference Champion
2034 XFL Champion
16 seasons
Zehlendorf (3)
Tampa Bay (8)
Oakland (4)
Houston (1)

He was drafted with the 32nd overall pick of the 2032 draft by Zehlendorf out of Colorodo. Post draft analysis was short & to the point: "The defending Champs select this pass rusher from Colorodo who has elite size and strength and scouts like his potential to develop into a 3 down defensive end in the XFL." He developed into one of the best pass rushers in XFL history finishing 5th Alltime in sacks (127) & 4th Alltime in hurries (203). He added another 12 sacks in the postseason which ranks 5th Alltime. He was elected to the HOF on his 1st ballot becoming the 8th DE enshrined & the 5th Tampa Bay player to wear the gold jacket.
