2053 INDUCTEESQB Matthew Whitney
Buffalo Skull Crushers11 seasons
Buffalo (7)
Orlando (4)
ALLPRO ×7 (2045-2052)
MVP ×4 (2048 & 2050-2052)
He was drafted with the 20th overall pick by Michigan (Orlando) in the 2041 draft out of Toledo. He spent his first three seasons with Michigan (Orlando) where he put up very pedestrian numbers and was subsequently traded to Los Angeles in 2044 along with CB Steven Thompson for a 4th, 6th & 7th round pick. He spent just the one season in Los Angeles where he was the backup QB behind QB Tom Crawford and he never played a down. He hit free agency in 2045 where he signed a seemingly insane contract of 6 years/277.7 million dollars. Buffalo clearly saw something in Whitney because after throwing for 6,902 yards, 32 TDs & 43 INTs in his first four seasons, he would amass 62,811 passing yards, 488 TDs & 232 INTs during his 8 seasons with the Skull Crushers. That works out to a season average of 7,851 yards passing, 61 TD passes and 29 interceptions. He was named ALLPRO 7 times and he won 4 league MVPs which only trails HOF QB Randal Cunningham's 8 ALLPROs and 8 league MVPs. Whitney is clearly the greatest regular season QB in the history of the XFL who owns the majority of every single game and single season record and it's not even close. He owns upwards of 9 of the best games and best seasons in XFL history. He only trails HOF Randal Cunningham in career passing numbers because he only had 8 seasons in his prime. Unfortunately, he never had that same level of team success in the postseason despite being in the top 10 Alltime passing yards & passing TDs in the postseason. He was elected into the HOF unanimously on his first ballot and he becomes the 16th QB enshrined. It's Buffalo's 12th player to wear the Gold Jacket which is second most behind only Dakota's 15 and he is the 3rd Buffalo QB to get the call joining Juan Kirk & Ricardo Dodds. Buffalo joins Dakota as the only teams with 3 QBs in the HOF. Matthew Whitney is a generational talent whose numbers will be hard pressed to pass by future generations of QBs in the XFL.
RB Joseph Moore
Cincinnati Defenders12 seasons
Cincinnati (5)
Buffalo (4)
Memphis (2)
Los Angeles (1)
2048 ALLPRO
2047 AXC Conference Champ
He was drafted with the 16th pick of the 3rd round of the 2041 draft by Memphis out of Oregon. He played just 2 seasons with Memphis before being traded to Cincinnati in 2043 along with SLB Anthony Hutchinson for a 1st, 3rd & 5th round pick. During the next 5 seasons he amassed 6,427 yards receiving & 45 TD receptions along with 1,781 yards rushing & 7 rushing TDs. In 2048, he was traded to Buffalo for a future 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th round pick. He had his greatest single season in 2048 catching passes from HOF QB Matthew Whitney where he had 2,564 yards receiving and 22 TD receptions. He had three more seasons with Buffalo don't never again approached those numbers as age caught up to him. He finished his career with Los Angeles where he had a bounce back campaign of 845 yards receiving after back to back 100 yard seasons with Buffalo. For his career, he finished in the top 10 Alltime in receptions, yards receiving and TD receptions and enters the HOF as a Cincinnati Defender on his first year on the ballot. He becomes the 20th WR enshrined into the Hall and just the 2nd Cincinnati player to get a Gold Jacket joining fellow WR Gary Hunt.
WR Leroy Bello
Atlanta Dominators12 seasons
2041 & 2043 ALLPRO
8× XFL Champion (2041-2048)
He was drafted with the 8th overall pick of the 2041 by Atlanta out of UCLA. Immediately following being selected, this was the analysis: "Atlanta finally addresses the offense with this giant back who scouts see as a bruising FB or large RB. Bello has a chance to be great and alot will depend on what weight he ends up at and what speed he reaches based on that weight. Regardless, his size and skills make him versatile where he could play anywhere from TE, FB, RB or WR based on what the team needs". Bello would become the greatest 1-2 combos of RBs in XFL history along with HOF RB Peter Chappell. They were the driving force behind Atlanta's record setting 8 straight XFL Titles. Bello finished 2nd Alltime in career rushing behind his teammate Chappell and 1st Alltime in career rushing TDs with Chappel being 3rd Alltime. He was enshrined on his first year on the ballot, one year after Chappell received his Gold Jacket. He is the 15th RB to get the call and 5th Atlanta player to enter the HOF, joining former teammates Chappell, WR Richard Morillo, C Charles Coker & RG Anthony Dixon.
WR Terrance McConkey
Atlanta Dominators12 seasons
Atlanta (9)
Brooklyn (1)
Kansas City (1)
Buffalo (1)
7× XFL Champion (2041-2047)
2043 & 2046 ALLPRO
He was the 1st overall pick in the 2039 draft by Atlanta out of Millersville college. Immediately after being draft #1, this was the analysis: "The consensus #1 overall pick goes first. Despite playing division II football, this Biletnikoff award winner has world class speed, exceptional IQ and elite pass catching potential including route running and fighting for contested catches". He spent his first 9 seasons with the Dominators and helped them win 7 straight Titles from 2041-2047. He finished his career 11th in receiving yards and 6th Alltime in TD receptions. He really made his name in the postseason where he retired 4th in rushing TDs, 6th in receptions, 3rd in receiving yards, 6th in TD receptions, 4th in Total yards & 4th in Total TDs. He was elected into the HOF on his first year on the ballot and becomes the 6th member of the Atlanta Dominators offense to make it into the HOF from their incredible dynasty. For 7 seasons, from 2041-2047, these 6 HOFers played on the same offense and won 7 XFL Titles with only Chappell & McConkey departing in 2048 where the remaining 4 HOFers won their 8th straight Title. It's an incredible streak we may never see again!
DT Tyler Hickman
Vancouver Vandals13 seasons
Vancouver (12)
Tampa Bay (1)
2042 ALLPRO
2044 & 2048 AXC Conference Champ
2049 XFL Champ
He was the 11th overall pick in the 2039 draft by Vancouver out of Miami. Vancouver was criticized immediately after the pick when the experts said this: "Vancouver uses their first of 3 1st round picks to take this DT. Hickman is one of 2 defensive tackles with 1st round grades but neither was excepted to go this high in the draft. Hickman has tremendous size and strength coupled with great speed and quickness for his size. Vancouver finished 9th in stopping the run and Hickman joins a great defensive front four as a rotational piece". That goes to show you how the so called "experts" don't know what they are talking about. He finished his career ranked 4th Alltime in sacks & 9th in hurries among all DTs and 5th Alltime among DTs in postseason sacks. He was elected on his second year on the ballot and becomes just the 5th DT enshrined and 6th Vancouver player to receive a Gold Jacket.
