I think nearly anyone can say that. It's crazy. Per the conversation we had in another league chat last night (that's some of it) and also I think they exist in their own competitive plane. Couple of examples: one general and then one specific. General: the GM who comes in 18-0 hypothetically and a house on fire is going to stay status quo for the most part while the other GM has nothing to lose and may dig in deeply to find every nook and cranny to pull off the miracle. Whereas anything earlier than a title game and definitely in the regular season that energy pretty much isn't being expended.
Other specific example why I think they exist in their own competitive plane I'll never figure out how I could battle my *** off to survive the game plan of two elite GMs 3x (winning somehow) in a season and then well you know the rest...
