NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 12)

NXC

Unlike the AXC, the NXC has 4 clear cut division leaders with leads of 1½, 2, 2½ & 3 games. In fact, the 7 postseason teams entering week 12 stay the same with minimal movement as only 10 of 16 teams remain alive in the Conference.

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Memphis 11-1 (9-0) (1) 0
2. Providence 10-2 (9-1) (2) 0
3. Arizona 10-2 (8-2) (3) 0
4. Gem City 8-3-1 (5-3-1) (4) 0

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
10. Montana 5-7 (5-4) (10) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Vegas moved up 1 spot from the #6 seed to the #5 seed.

☆Atlanta moved up 1 spot from the #7 seed to the #6 seed.

☆Philadelphia dropped 2 spots from the #5 seed to the #7 seed.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Providence Islanders 10-2 (3-1)
Philadelphia Slayers 8-4 (3-1)
Brooklyn Hitmen 3-9 (2-2)
Washington Warriors 3-9 (1-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC East is led by Providence who has a 2 game lead over Philadelphia while Brooklyn & Washington are eliminated from division Title contention.

Providence starting the season 1-1 on the road before winning 9 of their next 10 games including pivotal wins versus Atlanta & Arizona. If they win in week 15 versus Philadelphia they clinch the Division with 1 other win in their final 4 games. If they win out they still have a shot at the bye if Memphis loses a Conference game down the stretch. Even if they lose to Philadelphia in week 15, they can still clinch the East with 3 more wins.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@TOR (6-6)
BRO (3-9)
PHI (8-4)
CIN (9-3)

Philadelphia started the season 3-4 before winning 5 straight games to be just 1 game behind Providence for the East Crown. They lost to Tampa Bay in week 12 to fall 2 games behind Providence with 4 games remaining. They need to win out and have Providence lose a 2nd game in the last 4 to win the East. Barring winning the division, they will need to stay 1 game up on Tampa Bay who owns the head to head tiebreaker and Philadelphia plays all 4 games on the road.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@BRO (3-9)
@VBA (8-3-1)
@PRI (10-2)
@TOR (6-6)

Brooklyn started the season 2-1 before losing 8 of their next 9 games as they went into a tailspin this season. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and now their attention turns to next year's draft where they currently hold roighly the 7th overall pick. Despite being eliminated, they will play a role in which team wins the East & which team earns the bye.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
PHI (8-4)
@PRI (10-2)
@MEM (11-1)
@LAC (4-7-1)

Washington was 0-6 and on pace to match last seasons 0-8 start before New ownership took control in the Nation's Capital. Since his arrival the team has gone 3-3 and nobody wants to see the suddenly dangerous Warriors down the stretch. Washington is officially eliminated from the postseason but will look to spoil some teams postseason dreams in the final 4 games.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@PIT (6-6)
SPP (1-11)
HOU (9-3)
VBA (8-3-1)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
WEST
Arizona Wranglers 10-2 (3-1)
Vegas Black Aces 8-3-1 (3-1-1)
Los Angeles Challengers 4-7-1 (1-2-1)
Seattle Barbarians 1-11 (0-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Arizona leads the NXC West by 1½ games over Vegas while Los Angeles & Seattle are eliminated from division Title contention.

Arizona started the season 4-0 before a lose in Vegas in week 5. They responded with 5 straight wins including avenging their lose to Vegas at home before losing to Providence at home in week 11. They came home in week 12 and destroyed Seattle 61-0 to maintain their 1½ game lead over Vegas. Arizona clinches the West with 3 more wins and have 3 very winnable games on their schedule. They can still secure the bye by winning out and having Memphis losing 2 games while Providence loses 1 game down the stretch.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@TEX (2-10)
ORG (7-5)
@LAC (4-7-1)
@SEA (1-11)

Vegas started the season 1-2-1 despite playing 4 close games. They bounced back with 7 wins in their next 8 games to move within 1½ games of Arizona in the West. They need to win out and have Arizona lose 2 games to win the West Division. More realistically, they need 3 more wins to clinch a Wildcard spot and have 3 very winnable games left on the schedule.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@DAY (1-11)
PHI (8-4)
@SEA (1-11)
@WAS (3-9)

Los Angeles started 2-0-1 with convincing wins over Washington & Daytona with a 31-31 tie sandwiched between them in week 2 before losing 4 straight games all on the road. They would go 2-3 in their next 5 games which wasn't enough to keep their postseason hopes alive. With nothing much left to play for, they will attempt to play spoiler as they have 2 games left versus playoff contenders.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@ORG (7-5)
SEA (1-11)
ARZ (10-2)
BRO (3-9)

Seattle started 0-4 including 3 straight loses at home before hosting Daytona in week 5 and winning their 1st game. They woud lost their next 7 games including 4 straight shutouts. In fact, Seattle has been outscored 260-26 during this 7 game losing streak and have scored just 63 points this season. All Seattle has left to play for is getting the #1 overall pick in next year's draft.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@DAK (7-5)
@LAC (4-7-1)
VBA (8-3-1)
ARZ (10-2)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
[bNORTH
Gem City Gangsters 8-3-1 (2l3-1)
Zehlendorf Zecken 6-6 (2-3)
Montana Grizzlies 5-7 (4-0)
Saint Paul Punishers 1-11 (0-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Gem City leads the NXC North by 2½ games over Zehlendorf & 3 games over Montana while Saint Paul has been eliminated from postseason contention.

Gem City got off to a 4-1 start before a lose and a tie dropped them to 4-2-1. They would bounce back winning 4 of their next 5 games including a week 12 win over 2nd place Zehlendorf. Gem City has built a nice cushion and needs just 2 more wins to clinch the North. Their schedule isn't easy but if they just handle the 2 remaining Division games, it's enough to clinch the North Crown.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@MEM (11-1)
@ZEZ (6-6)
MTG (5-7)
@KCY (8-4)

Zehlendorf started the season 5-2 before losing 4 of their last 5 games to fall 2½ games back in the North. While they are still alive to win the division or to become a Wildcard, they would need to win out versus 4 playoff contenders while getting help in the shape of Gem City losing 2 other games or having Philadelphia losing 2 games or Atlanta losing 1 other game besides their head to head lose.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@TBY (7-5)
GCG (8-3-1)
KCY (8-4)
@ATL (8-4)

Montana started the season 2-6 and it looked like a lost season before winning their last 3 games to put them right back into the division race but they lost at home to Oakland in week 12 to dash their playoff hopes. Montana needs to win out while having Gem City lose out plus Zehlendorf losing 1 game to win the North. Failing to win the division, if they win out they would need Philadelphia to lose 3 games, Vegas to lose 4 games or Atlanta lose 4 games plus have Tampa Bay lose 1 additional game. Long odds!
FINAL 4 GAMES:
SPP (1-11)
@IND (5-7)
@GCG (8-3-1)
@TBY (7-5)

Saint Paul started 0-6 before winning 23-20 in Overtime at home versus Seattle. They responded with 5 straight loses as they are officially eliminated for the postseason. They are in the mix for the #1 overall pick in next year's draft.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@MTG (5-7)
@WAS (3-9)
ATL (8-4)
@CAR (3-8-1)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
SOUTH
Memphis Maniacs 11-1 (5-0)
Atlanta Dominators 8-4 (3-1)
Tampa Bay Fireballs 7-5 (1-4)
Carolina Cobras 3-8-1 (0-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC South is led by Memphis who has the biggest division lead in the XFL of 3 games over Atlanta & 4 games over Tampa Bay with Carolina eliminated from postseason contention.

Memphis starter 1-1 after a week 2 upset lose to New York before running off 10 straight wins including 4 division wins to improve to 5-0 in division. Memphis is the only team to have clinched a playoff spot and they need just 2 wins to clinch the Division or if they lose in week 13 to Gem City then they can clinch the Division with a win in Atlanta. They currently hold the bye so they want to win out and secure the bye but if they win the next 3 games then the week 16 game versus Buffalo would be meaningless for the bye.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
GCG (8-3-1)
@ATL (8-4)
BRO (3-9)
@BUF (8-4)

Atlanta started the season 2-3 before bouncing back with 6 wins in the last 7 games where all 5 wins were by at least 20 points. They are 5-0 since being taken over by New ownership and look poised to defend their 5 straight Titles in the postseason despite being a Wildcard instead of winning the South Title. They would need to win out while having Memphis lose 3 of 4 to force a tiebreaker scenario for the South crown. They do control their own destiny and secure a playoff spot with 3 more wins.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
@CAR (3-8-1)
MEM (11-1)
@SPP (1-11)
ZEZ (6-6)

Tampa Bay started the season 1-2 versus 3 playoff teams from last season before winning 4 straight games to move to 5-2. They would then lose 3 straight games to perennial playoff contenders before winning their last 2 games to keep their postseason dreams alive. They need to win out and have Philadelphia lose 1 game or have Vegas lose 2 games to secure a postseason spot.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
ZEZ (6-6)
NYE (7-5)
@CAR (3-8-1)
MTG (5-7)

Carolina started the season 3-2 before losing 6 of their next 7 games. They played 2 overtime games during that stretch where they lost 1 game and tied the other. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and will look to play spoiler down the stretch.
FINAL 4 GAMES:
ATL (8-4)
@BUF (8-4)
TBY (7-5)
SPP (1-11)

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 13)

THINGS HEAT UP IN LUCKY WEEK 13

This week I'm doing a ranking for all 32 teams. The formula I'm using is the following:

66 - (Total offense + Total defense) + Turnover margin + (5 points per win) - (5 points per lose) × (win pct of opponents) = Ranking score

AXC

With 3 weeks left, the playoff picture is starting to come into focus. The 7 teams that held a playoff spot entering week 13 remain the same after week 13.

12 teams are mathematically alive for tge postseason in tge AXC with 3 games remaining.

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Houston 10-3 (8-2) (1) 0
2. Buffalo 9-4 (8-3) (2) 0
3. Vancouver 9-4 (6-3) (3) 0
4. Dakota 8-5 (6-3) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Cincinnati 9-4 (7-3) (5) 0
6. Kansas City 9-4 (7-4) (6) 0
7. Orlando 7-6 (6-4) (7) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
8. Pittsburgh 7-6 (5-4) (9) +1
9. New York 7-6 (4-6) (8) -1
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
10. Oakland 6-7 (4-4) (10) 0
11. Toronto 6-7 (4-6) (11) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
12. Indiana 5-8 (4-6) (12) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Only Pittsburgh & New York swap spots in the playoff seeding as both teams sit just on the outside looking into the postseason despite having the same record as the #7 seed Orlando.

☆New England is officially eliminated from the postseason.

☆Indiana enters week 14 in the ICU on life support and can't lose again or they join the list of eliminated teams.

AXC RANKINGS

1. Houston 41.71
2. Cincinnati 35.11
3. Kansas City 31.35
4. Vancouver 29.46
5. Buffalo 25.22
6. Dakota 25.20
7. Pittsburgh 22.85
8. New York 20.44
9. Orlando 18.83
10. Toronto 14.07
11. Oakland 11.35
12. Indiana 5.60
13. New England -2.49
14. Texas -10.76
15. Miami -25.12
16. Daytona -24.35

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
WEST
Vancouver Vandals 9-4 (4-1)
Kansas City Chaos 9-4 (3-2)
Oakland Outlaws 6-7 (1-3)
Indiana Fog 5-8 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The AXC West has Vancouver & Kansas City tied for 1st while with Vancouver holding the tiebreaker based on division record while Oakland & Indiana have been officially eliminated from Division Title contention.

Vancouver started the season with a lose in Gem City before running off 4 straight wins. They lost at home to Buffalo in week 6 before winning another 3 straight to improve to 7-2. They would drop the next 2 games before righting the ship and with 2 straight wins to remain tied for 1st place with KC. They hold the tiebreaker over KC based on division record with just 1 division game remaining. Vancouver controls their own destiny and wins the West if they win out. The key game is the week 15 matchup versus Oakland where a win gives them a 5-1 division record and the tiebreaker over KC for the West Division crown. With 2 more wins they clinch a postseason spot overall even if they don't win the division.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@NEC (4-9)
OAK (6-7)
@MIA (2-11)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 8th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 20th
TURNOVER MARGIN: -3
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 83-85-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 49.1%
RANKING SCORE: 29.46

Kansas City starting the season 2-3 after winning both home games and losing all 3 road games before winning 7 of their last 8 games to move into a tie for 1st place in the West. They lose the head to head tiebreaker with Vancouver based on division record currently so they need to win out plus have Vancouver lose a game to win the West. The key game could be Gem City in week 16 if Vancouver loses to Oakland in week 15 and both teams end the season tied for 1st place. Vancouver lost to Gem City in week 1 so if both teams are tied and Vancouver loses to Oakland, they would have identical division records (4-2) so if KC beats Gem City, they would win the common games tiebreaker and win the West Division. KC does clinch a postseason spot with 2 more wins regardless of which team wins the West.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
OAK (6-7)
@ZEZ (6-7)
GCG (8-4-1)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 15th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 12th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +4
RECORD OF OPPONENTS (WIN): 78-91
OPPONENTS WIN%: 46.1
RANKING SCORE: 31.35

Oakland started the season winning 3 of their first 4 games before losing 4 straight games. They bounced back winning 3 of their next 4 games before losing an important division showdown with Vancouver in week 13. Oakland was officially eliminated from Division Title contention but are still alive for a Wildcard spot. They need to win out and have Pittsburgh & Orlando lose a win to create a tiebreaker scenario for the final playoff spot. They need to win all 3 games so the key game is the week 14 trio to KC because they can't win 3 without winning the first game.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@KCY (9-4)
@VAN (9-4)
@NYE (8-5)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 22nd
TOTAL DEFENSE: 26th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +11
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 80-89-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 47.3%
RANKING SCORE: 11.35

Indiana started the season 3-3 before dropping 4 of the last 6 games to get officially eliminated from Division Title contention. While they are mathematically alive for the last postseason spot, it would take then winning out plus a ton of help to even create a tiebreaker scenario. They would need Oakland & Toronto to lose 1 game while New York, Orlando & Pittsburgh would need to lose 2 games to create a 6 team tie at 8-8. I put the odds that Indiana makes the postseason at around 2%. The key game is in week 14 where they host Montana because they can't win 3 without winning the first game.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
MTG (6-7)
BUF (9-4)
@NEC (4-9)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 24th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 10th
TURNOVER MARGIN: -5
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 79-90
OPPONENTS WIN%: 46.7
RANKING SCORE: 5.60
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Buffalo Skull Crushers 9-4 (4-2)
New York Empire 7-6 (2-3)
New England Crusaders 4-9 (3-3)
Miami Nemesis 2-11 (2-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC East has Buffalo in 1st place by 2 games over New York with just 3 games left after Buffalo avenged their week 1 lose to the Empire. New England & Miami are officially eliminated from any postseason contention.

Buffalo had won 8 straight games after being upset by New York in week 1 before losing 3 straight games. They bounced back in week 13 by avenging their week 1 lose to New York in perhaps the game of the year. Buffalo won 50-49 in a wild shootout thanks in large part to their K Michael Larson who went 5 for 5 on fieldgoals including 3 50+ yarders including a walk off 54 yarder to win the game. Larsen entered week 13 just 5 for 5 in fieldgoals for the season and none of 50 yards or more. Buffalo clinches the East with just 1 more win in their final 3 games but their sights are still on the bye. Buffalo needs to win out plus have Houston lose 2 games to land the bye since Houston would win a common games tiebreaker if the 2 teams end up tied.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
CAR (3-9-1)
@IND (5-8)
MEM (12-1)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 1st
TOTAL DEFENSE: 21st
TURNOVER MARGIN: -17
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 82-87
OPPONENTS WIN%: 48.5
RANKING SCORE: 25.22

New York started the season 5-0 with impressive wins over Buffalo, Memphis & Atlanta under their belt before losing 4 straight games including a lose at home to New England in week 7. They traveled to Indiana in week 10 where they snapped their 4 game losing streak in a big way by shutting out the Fog 34-0. They traveled to New England where they lost again to get swept in the season series before hosting Cincinnati to save the season. They lost the rematch with Buffalo in an epic shootout 50-49. The 2 teams combined for over 1,100 yards of offense including over 900 yards of passing. They would need to win out and have Buffalo lose out to win the East which is highly unlikely so they should focus on landing a Wildcard spot. They need to win out and have Orlando & Pittsburgh lose a game to land the final Wildcard spot. The key game is in week 14 when they travel to Tampa Bay in a battle of teams on the bubble in opposite conferences.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@TBY (8-5)
MIA (2-11)
OAK (6-7)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 6th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 23rd
TURNOVER MARGIN: -4
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 91-78
OPPONENTS WIN%: 53.8
RANKING SCORE: 20.44

New England started the season 2-0 thanks to an easy schedule before losing their next 5 games. They bounced back somewhat with 2 wins in their last 5 games but it wasn't enough to keep their postseason hopes alive. They will play out the season for pride and in hopes of spoiling postseason hopes for other teams.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
VAN (9-4)
@TOR (6-7)
IND (5-8)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 29th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 27th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +10
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 84-85
OPPONENTS WIN%: 49.7
RANKING SCORE: -2.49

Miami has started the season 0-11 to match their worst start to a season back in 2029 when they finished 0-16. They bounced back with 2 straight wins over Division opponents including a major upset of Buffalo in week 12. They will play spoiler down the stretch and have a real chance to make it 3 in a row when they host Texas in week 14.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
TEX (2-11)
@NYE (7-6)
VAN (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 32nd
TOTAL DEFENSE: 31st

RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 101-68
OPPONENTS WIN%: 59.8%
RANKING SCORE: -25.12

[bNORTH
Houston Roughnecks 10-3 (4-1)
Cincinnati Defenders 9-4 (3-2)
Pittsburgh Blitzkrieg 7-6 (2-3)
Toronto Titans 6-7 (1-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC North is led by Houston who has a 1 game lead over Cincinnati while Pittsburgh & Toronto have been officially eliminated from Division Title contention.

Houston started 0-2 before bouncing back with 10 wins over their last 11 games to move into 1st place in the North while taking control of the #1 seed in the AXC. Houston is the first team in the AXC to clinch a playoff spot and it's all right in front of them because if they win out, not only do they win the North Division crown but they also lock up the bye in the AXC. Houston needs just 2 wins to clinch the North since they swept Cincinnati in the season series and hold the tiebreaker in both teams end up tied. I believe Houston clinches the bye with 2 more wins since they hold the tiebreaker with Buffalo (common games) & Vancouver (head to head). It gets complicated if all 3 teams end up 12-4 so they should win out just to be sure.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
TOR (6-7)
@WAS (3-10)
DAK (8-5)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 11th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 6th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +2
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 82-87
OPPONENTS WIN%: 48.5
RANKING SCORE: 41.71

Cincinnati started the season going 3-0 before losing in Houston in week 4. They bounced back with 2 straight wins at home versus Pittsburgh & Texas in weeks 5 & 6 before traveling to Philadelphia in week 7 and losing big, 38-12. They bounced back with 4 straight wins before losing in New York in week 12 to fall into a tie with Houston for 1st place in the North. Cincinnati then lost the rematch with Houston to fall into 2nd place and lose control of their own destiny as far as winning the North Division. Now they need to win out plus have Houston lose twice to win the Division. They easiest path to the postseason is as a Wildcard where they need just 2 wins to clinch a playoff spot. The key game is in week 14 where they travel to Pittsburgh and if they win and New York loses to Tampa Bay, they clinch a playoff spot.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@PIT (7-6)
@DAK (8-5)
@PRI (11-2)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 10th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 8th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +4
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 77-92
OPPONENTS WIN%: 45.6
RANKING SCORE: 35.11

Pittsburgh started the season 3-1 before leveling of by going 3-3 over their next 6 games. They would lose 2 straight before beating Washington to save their season. They now control their own destiny and if they win out they clinch a playoff spot. The key game is the week 15 game versus Orlando who currently owns the final Wildcard spot and a head to head win over them is Pittsburgh ticket to the postseason. They are also tied with New York but Pittsburgh has the edge in conference record. The week 14 game is important too but they can still clinch the Wildcard even if they lose then win out if New York loses a game in their final 3 too.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
CIN (9-4)
@ORG (7-6)
TEX (2-11)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 18th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 17th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +6
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 92-77
OPPONENTS WIN%: 54.4
RANKING SCORE: 22.85

Toronto dropped 3 straight games to start the season and went 1-4 through the first 5 games before winning 5 of their last 7 games to even their record at 6-6. Toronto lost to Providence in week 13 to put them 1 game behind 3 teams for the final playoff spot. They need to win out and get a ton of help to make the postseason. They would need Orlando, Oakland & New York all to lose a game plus have Pittsburgh lose 2 games just for a tiebreaker scenario to be created.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@HOU (10-3)
NEC (4-9)
PHI (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 19th

Orlando Guardians 7-6 (4-1)
Texas Hold'em 2-11 (1-4)
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks 1-12 (0-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC South has Dakota in 1st place with a 1 game lead over Orlando. Texas & Daytona have been complicated eliminated from any postseason contention.

Dakota started the season 4-5 which is their worst start in francise history before bouncing back with 4 straight wins including a win over Orlando to earn a split in the season series. Dakota controls their own destiny and wins the South if they win out the final 3 games. The key game is in week 15 where they host Cincinnati and with wins in week 14 & 15, Dakota could clinch the South if Orlando loses 1 game in weeks 14 or 15 versus Arizona or Pittsburgh. Dakota could possibly secure the bye but it would take winning out plus Houston would need a 2nd lose, Buffalo would need a Conference lose & Vancouver or Kansas City, which ever team wins the West, loses a Conference game.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@DAY (1-12)

@HOU (10-3)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 14th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 7th

RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 76-91-2
OPPONENTS WIN%: 45.0
RANKING SCORE: 25.2

Orlando started 2-0 before losing back to back games to fall to 2-2. They then won 5 of their next 6 games before losing 3 straight games to fall 1 game behind Dakota in the South Division. They need to win out plus have Dakota lose a game to create a tiebreaker scenario for the Division Title. Both teams should have the same Division record plus they split the season series so the tiebreaker would turn to common games.
FINAL 3 GAMES:

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 13)

NXC

With 3 weeks remaining, the NXC has a very clear playoff picture as the top 8 seeds stay the same and only 6 teams are realistically battling for the last 5 open playoff spots.

It's heating up!!!

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Memphis 12-1 (10-0) (1) 0
2. Providence 11-2 (9-1) (2) 0
3. Arizona 11-2 (8-2) (3) 0
4. Gem City 8-4-1 (5-4-1) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

9. Montana 6-7 (6-4) (10) +1
10. Zehlendorf 6-7 (4-6) (9) -1
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Memphis & Arizona have clinched playoff spots.

☆Montana & Zehlendorf swapped spots but both are in the ICU sharing life support

NXC RANKINGS

Memphis 62.08

EAST
Providence Islanders 11-2 (3-1)
Philadelphia Slayers 9-4 (4-1)
Brooklyn Hitmen 3-10 (2-3)
Washington Warriors 3-10 (1-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC East is led by Providence who has a 2 game lead over Philadelphia while Brooklyn & Washington are eliminated from division Title contention.

Providence starting the season 1-1 on the road before winning 10 of their next 11 games including pivotal wins versus Atlanta & Arizona. The East Division will be decided in week 15's rematch with Philadelphia. If Providence wins they clinch the East but if they lose it opens the door for Philadelphia to steal the Division crown in week 16. This is all hinged on Philadelphia winning in week 14 at Vegas which is no guarantee. Providence clearly is in the driver's seat and if they win out, not only do they win the East but they could clinch the bye if Memphis loses a Conference game down the stretch.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
BRO (3-10)
PHI (9-4)
CIN (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 9th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 5th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +4
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 82-86-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 48.5
RANKING SCORE: 48.99

Philadelphia started the season 3-4 before winning 5 straight games to be just 1 game behind Providence for the East Crown. They split the next 2 games to fall 2 games behind Providence with 3 games remaining. They need to win out and have Providence lose a 2nd game in the last 3 to win the East. Barring winning the division, they will need to stay 1 game up on Tampa Bay who owns the head to head tiebreaker and Philadelphia plays all 3 games on the road.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@VBA (9-3-1)
@PRI (11-2)
@TOR (6-7)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 12th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 4th
TURNOVER MARGIN: -7
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 79-89-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 46.7
RANKING SCORE: 31.76

Brooklyn started the season 2-1 before losing 9 of their next 10 games as they went into a tailspin this season. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and now their attention turns to next year's draft where they currently hold roughly the 7th overall pick.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@PRI (11-2)
@MEM (12-1)
@LAC (5-7-1)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 23rd
TOTAL DEFENSE: 24th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +0
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 96-72-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 56.8
RANKING SCORE: -9.08

Washington was 0-6 and on pace to match last seasons 0-8 start before New ownership took control in the Nation's Capital. Since his arrival the team has gone 3-4 and nobody wants to see the suddenly dangerous Warriors down the stretch. Washington is officially eliminated from the postseason but will look to spoil some teams postseason dreams in the final 4 games.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
SPP (1-12)
HOU (10-3)
VBA (9-3-1)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 25th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 19th

WEST
Arizona Wranglers 11-2 (3-1)
Vegas Black Aces 9-3-1 (3-1-1)
Los Angeles Challengers 5-7-1 (1-2-1)
Seattle Barbarians 1-12 (0-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Arizona leads the NXC West by 1½ games over Vegas while Los Angeles & Seattle are eliminated from division Title contention.

Arizona started the season 4-0 before a lose in Vegas in week 5. They responded with 7 wins in their next 8 games including winning the rematch with Vegas. Arizona clinches the West with any combination of 2 wins or Vegas loses. The key game is in week 14 where Arizona host Orlando, the last team on their schedule with a winning record. Arizona has already clinched a postseason spot and are in the driver's seat to win the West but the bye seems unlikely barring a late collapse by Memphis.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
ORG (7-6)
@LAC (5-7-1)
@SEA (1-12)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 7th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 2nd
TURNOVER MARGIN: +6
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 76-90-3
OPPONENTS WIN%: 44.5
RANKING SCORE: 48.06

Vegas started the season 1-2-1 despite playing 4 close games. They bounced back strong with 8 wins in their next 9 games to move within 1½ games of Arizona in the West. They need to win out and have Arizona lose 2 games to win the West Division. More realistically, they need 2 more wins to clinch a Wildcard spot and have 2 very winnable games to end the season. The key game is in week 14 when they host Philadelphia which will play a huge part in playoff seeding while the loser opens the door for Tampa Bay to make the postseason.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
PHI (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 4th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 14th

OPPONENTS WIN%: 46.7
RANKING SCORE: 34.56

Los Angeles started 2-0-1 with convincing wins over Washington & Daytona with a 31-31 tie sandwiched between them in week 2 before losing 4 straight games all on the road. They would go 3-3 in their next 6 games which wasn't enough to keep their postseason hopes alive. With nothing much left to play for, they will continue to play spoiler as they look to finish strong and enter the off-season with momentum.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
SEA (1-12)
ARZ (11-2)
BRO (3-10)

TOTAL DEFENSE: 11th
TURNOVER MARGIN: -6
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 90-76-3
OPPONENTS WIN%: 53.3
RANKING SCORE: 13.86

Seattle started 0-4 including 3 straight loses at home before hosting Daytona in week 5 and winning their 1st game. They woud lost their next 8 games including 4 straight shutouts & 3 games where they scored just 3 points. In fact, Seattle has been outscored 319-29 during this 8 game losing streak and have scored just 66 points this season. They currently rank 2nd for the fewest points scored in a season and 70 points is the 3rd fewest Alltime.
FEWEST POINTS SCORED SEASON:

Montana Grizzlies 6-7 (5-0)
Zehlendorf Zecken 6-7 (2-3)
Saint Paul Punishers 1-12 (0-6)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Gem City leads the NXC North by 2½ games over Zehlendorf & Montana while Saint Paul has been eliminated from postseason contention.

Gem City got off to a 4-1 start before going 1-2-1 over their next 4 games. They would bounce back with 3 straight wins before losing to Memphis in week 13. They are in complete control of the North and need just 1 win or 1 lose by Zehlendorf & Montana to clinch the North Crown. They do play the 2 teams chasing them the next 2 weeks so it's not a 100% lock but the percentage is high.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@ZEZ (6-7)
MTG (6-7)
@KCY (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 17th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 22nd
TURNOVER MARGIN: +12
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 74-93-2
OPPONENTS WIN%: 43.8
RANKING SCORE: 25.84

Montana started the season 2-6 and it looked like a lost season before winning their 4 of their last 5 games and suddenly they are tied for 2nd in the North while being 5-0 in the division. Unfortunately, Montana needs to win out and have Gem City lose out to win the North. Even for the Wildcard race they would need to win out and have Philadelphia or Atlanta lose out plus have Tampa Bay lose 2 wins. So I'm saying Montana has a chance.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@IND (5-8)
@GCG (8-4-1)
@TBY (8-5)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 20th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 18th
TURNOVER MARGIN: +0
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 92-76-1
OPPONENTS WIN%: 54.4
RANKING SCORE: 12.51

Zehlendorf started the season 5-2 before losing 5 of their last 6 games to fall 2½ games back in the North. While they are still alive to win the division or to become a Wildcard, they would need to win out while having either Gem City, Philadelphia or Atlanta lose out plus have Tampa Bay lose 2 games plus have Montana lose 1 game. That's alot of ifs! The key game is the week 14 matchup with Gem City so if they win, the odds increase that the rest can happen.
FINAL 3 GAMES:

KCY (9-4)
@ATL (9-4)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 16th
TOTAL DEFENSE: 25th
TURNOVER MARGIN: -7
RECORD OF OPPONENTS: 83-81-3
OPPONENTS WIN%: 49.1
RANKING SCORE: 6.38

Saint Paul is 1-12 this season and the 1 win was in overtime versus another team with a 1-12 record. They are clearly at rock bottom as a francise since thus would be 3 straight seasons with 1 win barring an upset down the stretch. They have drafted #1 and #2 overall the last 2 seasons and should be in the top 5 once again.
FINAL 3 GAMES:
@WAS (3-10)
ATL (9-4)
@CAR (3-9-1)

TOTAL OFFENSE: 30th

Atlanta Dominators 9-4 (3-1)
Tampa Bay Fireballs 8-5 (1-4)
Carolina Cobras 3-9-1 (0-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC South is led by Memphis who has the biggest division lead in the XFL of 3 games over Atlanta while Tampa Bay has been eliminated from Division contention and Carolina has been eliminated from postseason contention.

Memphis started 1-1 after a week 2 upset lose to New York before running off 11 straight wins. They control their own destiny and not only win the South crown but also the bye if they win out. They need just 1 more win or an Atlanta lose to clinch the South Division. They clinch the bye if they win their next 2 games which would give them a 12-0 record in the Conference.
FINAL 3 GAMES:

TOTAL OFFENSE: 2nd
TOTAL DEFENSE: 1st

RANKING SCORE: 62.08

Atlanta started the season 2-3 before bouncing back with 7 wins in the last 8 games where all 7 wins were by at least 20 points. They are 6-0 since being taken over by New ownership and look poised to defend their 5 straight Titles in the postseason despite being a Wildcard instead of winning the South Title. They need to win out plus have Memphis lose out to create a tiebreaker scenario for the South Division crown. More realistically, they clinch a Wildcard spot with 2 more wins in their last 3 games. The key game is the week 14 rematch with Memphis, not so much for qualifying for the postseason or winning the South but to send a message that they will be a threat to Memphis in the postseason.

Tampa Bay started the season 1-2 versus 3 playoff teams from last season before winning 4 straight games to move to 5-2. They would then lose 3 straight games to perennial playoff contenders before winning their last 3 games to keep their postseason dreams alive. They need to win out and have Philadelphia lose 1 game or have Vegas or Atlanta lose 2 games to secure a postseason spot.

They would drop the next 2 games before righting the ship and with 3 straight wins to remain tied for 1st place with KC. They have clinched a postseason spot but are still playing for the Division crown & the bye. They need to win out plus have Buffalo & Vancouver lose a game to have any chance for the bye.

They bounced back with 2 straight wins including winning the rematch with New York which helped clinch them the East Division crown. Buffalo currently holds the #1 seed in the AXC but will need to win out then see how many teams match their record and the subsequent tiebreakers. New York started the season 5-0 with impressive wins over Buffalo, Memphis & Atlanta under their belt before losing 4 straight games including a lose at home to New England in week 7. They would win 3 of their last 5 games which wasn't enough to stay alive in the Division race but it did put them right back into the playoff picture as they currently hold the #7 seed. New York controls thier own fate and clinch a postseason spot if they win their last.2 games. If they lose a game down the stretch it opens the door for Orlando, Pittsburgh or Orlando to grab the final Wildcard spot. They lose a head to head tiebreaker with Orlando and a lose would give them 7 Conference loses which is the most among the 4 teams.

They won at Pittsburgh in week 14 to stop the bleeding and move into a tie for 1st place in the North. Houston holds the tiebreaker over Cincinnati based on sweeping the season series. Cincinnati needs to win out plus have Houston lose 1 game to win the North Division. They could still get the bye if they win the North but it will come down to tiebreakers as 3 Division winners could finish 12-4.
FINAL 2 GAMES:

@PRI (12-2)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
WR Derrick Moss

CB Joseph Duffy
LG Thomas Morneau

Pittsburgh started the season 3-1 before leveling of by going 3-3 over their next 6 games. They would lose 2 straight before beating Washington to save their season but a lose at home to Cincinnati in week 14 put them just on the outside looking into the postseason. They need to win out plus have New York lose 1 game to make the postseason. They travel to Orlando in week 15 in what becomes a playoff game as the winner stays alive and the loser is eliminated.

Toronto dropped 3 straight games to start the season and went 1-4 through the first 5 games before winning 6 of their last 9 games to even their record at 7-7. They need to win out plus have New York lose 1 game and have Orlando beat Pittsburgh in week 15 or if Pittsburgh wins then have Pittsburgh lose in week 16.

Orlando Guardians 7-7 (4-1)
Texas Hold'em 2-12 (1-4)
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks 1-13 (0-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC South has Dakota in 1st place with a 2 game lead over Orlando. Texas & Daytona have been complicated eliminated from any postseason contention.

Dakota started the season 4-5 which is their worst start in francise history before bouncing back with 5 straight wins including a win over Orlando to earn a split in the season series. They need 1 win or 1 Orlando lose to clinch the South Division but their final 2 games are against the two teams battling for the AXC North Crown. If Dakota loses out & Orlando wins out then Dakota loses the South but could still clinch a Wildcard spot if New York loses 1 game down the stretch.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
CIN (10-4)
@HOU (10-4)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:

LG Michael Neill
K Angel Weinstein

Orlando started 2-0 before losing back to back games to fall to 2-2. They then won 5 of their next 6 games before losing 4 straight games to fall 2 games behind Dakota in the South Division. They need to win out plus have Dakota lose out to win the South. They host Pittsburgh in week 15 in what is essentially a playoff game where the winner lives another week while the loser is eliminated. If Dakota wins a game, Orlando can still clinch a Wildcard by winning out plus having New York lose 1 game.

Texas lost 3 straight games to start the season before winning 2 of the next 4 games. They have lost 7 straight games and this is the worst season since 2024, 22 seasons ago when they finished 2-14 which is the 2nd worse record in francise history. In 2019, Texas finished 1-13-2 for the francises worst season.

Daytona has started 0-7 for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons before winning at home in Overtime 6-3 versus Indiana in week 8. They then lost the next 6 straight games and find themselves in the mix for the #1 overall pick. They wrap up their 17th straight losing season with 2 division games. If they don't win another game this season, it will mark the 7th time in francise history they finished with 1 or fewer wins. In fact, even with 2 wins to end the season, it would mark the 15th time in 29 seasons they have 3 or fewer wins in francise history.

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 14)

NXC

With 2 weeks remaining, the NXC has 4 teams who have clinched a postseason spot including 3 Division winners. That leaves 4 teams battling for the final 3 playoff spots.

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Memphis 13-1 (11-0) (1) 0
2. Providence 12-2 (10-1) (2) 0
3. Arizona 12-2 (8-2) (3) 0
4. Gem City 9-4-1 (6-4-1) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Philadelphia 10-4 (6-4) (7) +2
6. Vegas 9 -4-1 (5-4-1) (5) -1
7. Atlanta 9-5 (6-4) (6) -1
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
8. Tampa Bay 8-6 (6-4) (8) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Philadelphia jumped up 2 spots from #7 to #5 as they grab the top Wildcard spot.

☆Vegas & Atlanta each dropped 1 spot, Vegas going #5 to #6 while Atlanta went from #6 to #7.

☆Montana & Zehlendorf were officially eliminated from postseason contention.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Providence Islanders 12-2 (4-1)
Philadelphia Slayers 10-4 (4-1)
Washington Warriors 4-10 (1-5)
Brooklyn Hitmen 3-11 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC East is led by Providence who has a 2 game lead over Philadelphia while Brooklyn & Washington are eliminated from all postseason contention.

Providence starting the season 1-1 on the road before winning 11 of their next 12 games including pivotal wins versus Atlanta & Arizona. The East Division may be decided in week 15's rematch with Philadelphia. If Providence wins they clinch the East but if they lose it opens the door for Philadelphia to steal the Division crown in week 16. Providence has already clinched a playoff spot and only them losing out and Philadelphia winning out will lose them the Division. Providence is still alive for the bye but they need to win out plus have Memphis lose to Brooklyn (3-11) in week 15 to create a tiebreaker scenario.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
PHI (10-4)
CIN (10-4)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
QB William Powers
WR Jeffrey Armstrong
K Corey Pate
LDE Earnest Johnson
RDE Chadwick Turner
CB James Mosley
CB Tristan Alatorre

Philadelphia started the season 3-3 before winning 7 of last 8 games to stay alive for the East Crown. Philadelphia needs to win at Providence in week 15 to have a shot to win the East with a win in week 16 coupled with a Providence lose. A win in week 15 clinches them a playoff spot even if they don't win the East Division. Philadelphia also clinches a playoff spot with a Tampa Bay lose.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@PRI (12-2)
@TOR (7-7)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
K Rodney Hutchins
CB Rufus Lehman
LG Joshua Day

Washington was 0-6 and on pace to match last seasons 0-8 start before New ownership took control in the Nation's Capital. Since his arrival the team has gone 4-4 and nobody wants to see the suddenly dangerous Warriors down the stretch. They have moved into 3rd place in the East for the first time since they finished in 3rd place in 2043. Washington is officially eliminated from the postseason but will look to spoil some teams postseason dreams in the final 2 games & enter the off-season with some positive momentum.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
HOU (10-4)
VBA (9-4-1)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
RDE Rolf Brown
LG Fransico Davis

Brooklyn started the season 2-1 before losing 10 of their next 11 games as they went into a tailspin that finds them in last place this season. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and now their attention turns to next year's draft where they currently hold roughly the 7th overall pick.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@MEM (13-1)
@LAC (5-8-1)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:

CB Cyrus Baltimore

WEST
Arizona Wranglers 12-2 (3-1)
Vegas Black Aces 9-4-1 (3-1-1)
Los Angeles Challengers 5-8-1 (1-2-1)
Seattle Barbarians 2-12 (1-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Arizona has clinched the NXC West while Vegas is still alive for a Wildcard spot. Los Angeles & Seattle are eliminated from division Title contention.

Arizona started the season 4-0 before a lose in Vegas in week 5. They responded with 8 wins in their next 9 games including winning the rematch with Vegas. Arizona clinched the West Division and is likely the #3 seed but if they win out, Memphis loses out plus Providence loses 1 game, they become the #1 seed. Arizona lost to Providence so they need to win out plus have Providence lose 1 game to move to the #2 seed.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@LAC (5-8-1)
@SEA (2-12)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
QB Taylor Rojas
WR Son Johnson
K Stephen Roman
RDE Justin Mattox
CB Lorenzo Kapoor
CB Joshua Chavez
LG Michael Bartlett

Vegas started the season 1-2-1 despite playing 4 close games. They bounced back strong with 8 wins in their next 9 games before a painful lose at home to Philadelphia in week 14. The lose eliminated them from winning the West but they are very much alive for the postseason. In fact, they need just 1 more win to clinch a Wildcard spot. They play their final 2 games on the road but it's against 2 opponents with a combined record of 6-22. They will be favorite in both games but both teams have won recently, especially Washington which makes winning at Seattle in week 15 sorta a must win game so they can enter week 16 already in the postseason.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@SEA (2-12)
@WAS (4-10)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
WR Anthony Stembridge
K Timothy Griffin
LG Leroy Mitchell
C Reginald Crosby

Los Angeles started 2-0-1 with convincing wins over Washington & Daytona with a 31-31 tie sandwiched between them in week 2 before losing 6 of their next 7 games. They would go 2-2 over their last 4 games and it's a 3rd straight season where LA will finish right around .500 as they continue to struggle to get over the hump and this makes 7 straight seasons where they have missed the postseason.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
ARZ (12-2)
BRO (3-11)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
P Hubert Steele
RG Brent Thompson

Seattle started 0-4 including 3 straight loses at home before hosting Daytona in week 5 and winning their 1st game. They would lost their next 8 games including 4 straight shutouts & 3 games where they scored just 3 points before exploding for 21 points & a win versus Los Angeles. They have now scored 97 points and remove themselves from the infamous fewest points scored in a season list. They need just 3 more points to reach 100 as only 13 teams have ever scored under 100 in a season.

Montana Grizzlies 7-7 (5-0)
Zehlendorf Zecken 6-8 (2-4)
Saint Paul Punishers 1-13 (0-6)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Gem City has clinched the NXC North while Zehlendorf, Montana & Saint Paul have been eliminated from postseason contention.

Gem City got off to a 4-1 start before going 1-2-1 over their next 4 games. They would bounce back with 4 wins in their last 5 games to clinch the NXC North for the 8th time in the last 9 seasons. They are locked into the #4 seed so Gem City can relax the next 2 weeks while resting players so they can enter the postseason as healthy as possible.
FINAL 2 GAMES:

@KCY (10-4)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
RDE P. C. Principle
CB Arthur Pensky
C Marty McFly
RG David Lapham

Montana started the season 2-6 before bouncing back with 5 wins in their last 6 games. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late for the Grizzlies as they were officially eliminated from Division Title contention despite being a perfect 5-0 in the division. Montana played 6 playoff teams in their first 8 games based after winning the North Division for the first time in francise history last season. Things were further complicated when the owner had health issues early in the season which seemed to trickle down onto the field but since returning, the team has responded and their is hope going into next season that the team will be back stronger. Montana would like to win at least 1 more game and finish at least 8-8 for the 10th time in francise history.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@GCG (9-4-1)
@TBY (8-6)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
P James Rivas
CB Eddie Mayo

Zehlendorf started the season 5-2 before losing 6 of their last 7 games to be officially eliminated from postseason contention. This is the 10th straight season missing the postseason and questions abound how the team faded down the stretch. They play 2 teams in playoff contention down the stretch and how they perform will factor into how the team attacks the off-season.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
KCY (10-4)
@ATL (9-5)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
WR James Ramsey
K Carl Thompson
CB Dale Wilson

Saint Paul is 1-13 this season and the 1 win was in overtime versus a team with a 2-12 record. They are clearly at rock bottom as a francise since this would be 3 straight seasons with 1 win barring an upset down the stretch. They have drafted #1 and #2 overall the last 2 seasons and should be in the top 5 once again.

Atlanta Dominators 9-5 (4-2)
Tampa Bay Fireballs 8-6 (1-4)
Carolina Cobras 3-10-1 (0-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC South has been clinched by Memphis. Atlanta & Tampa Bay has been eliminated from Division contention but both are still alive for the Wildcard and Carolina has been eliminated from postseason contention.

Memphis started 1-1 after a week 2 upset lose to New York before running off 12 straight wins to clinch the South for just the 3rd time in francise history. They control their own fate as they clinch the bye with a week 15 win at home versus Brooklyn (3-11). Not only would they clinch the bye but week 16 would be meaningless and they could rest players before the actual bye.

Atlanta started the season 3-4 before bouncing back with 6 straight wins and then they lost at home to Memphis to end their Division Title chances. Despite the slow start and getting swept by Memphis, Atlanta needs just 1 more win to clinch a Wildcard spot. They travel to Saint Paul (1-13) in week 15 and odds on favorites to win and reach the postseason for the 7th straight season to defend their 5 straight Titles.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@SPP (1-13)

ALLPRO CANIDATES:
WLB Ryan Huber
RDE Oren Bearce
CB Kevin Tefft

Tampa Bay started the season 1-2 versus 3 playoff teams from last season before winning 4 straight games to move to 5-2. They would then lose 3 straight games to perennial playoff contenders before winning their next 3 games to keep their postseason dreams alive. They lost at home to New York in week 14 to blow a giant opening to move closer to playoff contention. They will need to win out plus have either Vegas, Atlanta or Philadelphia lose out to make the postseason.
FINAL 2 GAMES:
@CAR (3-10-1)

Carolina started the season 3-2 before losing 7 of their next 8 games. They played 2 overtime games during that stretch where they lost 1 game and tied the other. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and will look to play spoiler down the stretch. This makes 9 times in the last 10 seasons where Carolina will miss the postseason.

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 15)

1 WEEK TO GO/FINAL FINAL COUNTDOWN

AXC

With just 1 game left, 6 of 7 AXC playoff spots have been decided including 3 Division winners. The West Division winner be decided in week 16 plus the final Wildcard spot comes down to New York, Toronto or Orlando! The final seeding will all be decided in week 16 as Buffalo, Houston, Vancouver & Kansas City are all in play to secure the bye.

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Buffalo 11-4 (9-3) (1) 0
1. Houston 11-4 (8-3) (2) 0
3. Vancouver 11-4 (8-3) (3) 0
4. Dakota 10-5 (8-3) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Kansas City 11-4 (8-4) (6) +1
6. Cincinnati 10-5 (8-4) (5) -1
7. New York 9-6 (5-6) (7) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
8. Orlando 8-7 (7-4) (8) 0
9. Toronto 7-7 (5-6) (10) +1
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Kansas City moves up 1 spot to the #5 seed from the #6 seed.

☆Cincinnati dropped down 1 spot from the #5 seed to the #6 seed.

☆Toronto moves up 1 spots from #10 to #9 to remain alive for the final playoff spot.

☆Pittsburgh is officially eliminated from postseason contention to guarantee a new AXC Conference Championship team in 2046.

WEST

Vancouver Vandals 11-4 (5-1)
Kansas City Chaos 11-4 (4-2)
Oakland Outlaws 6-9 (1-5)
Indiana Fog 5-10 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The AXC West has Vancouver & Kansas City tied for 1st while with Vancouver holding the tiebreaker based on division record while Oakland & Indiana have been officially eliminated from Division Title contention.

Vancouver started the season with a lose in Gem City before running off 4 straight wins. They lost at home to Buffalo in week 6 before winning another 3 straight to improve to 7-2. They would drop the next 2 games before righting the ship and with 4 straight wins to remain tied for 1st place with KC. They hold the tiebreaker over KC based on division record and Vancouver controls their own destiny. If they goto Miami and win in week 16, they clinch the AXC West crown plus have a chance to land the bye. If Vancouver wins plus Buffalo & Houston lose then they clinch the bye. Vancouver loses a tiebreaker with Buffalo & Houston head to head so they need both to lose or both to win to create a 3 way tiebreaker. So if all 3 teams win, they are all 12-4 with 9-3 Conference records so it probably comes down to net points. Currently Vancouver has (+110), Buffalo has (+123) & Houston has (+89) so the final scores of the week 16 games matter as Buffalo has a 13 point lead on Vancouver while Houston is 34 points behind.
FINAL GAME:
@MIA (3-12)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 11-5 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 11-4 (1st)
VERDICT: very close

Kansas City starting the season 2-3 after winning both home games and losing all 3 road games before winning 9 of their last 10 games to move into a tie for 1st place in the West. They lose the head to head tiebreaker with Vancouver based on division record so they need to beat Gem City at home in week 16 plus have Vancouver lose in Miami to win the West. Kansas City is currently locked into at least the #5 seed so win, lose or tie they end up the at least #5. If they win plus Vancouver, Buffalo & Houston all lose then KC becomes the #1 seed. They lose head to head tiebreakers with Buffalo & Houston so if they manage to win the division they guarantee at least the #3 seed and move up if Buffalo or Houston lose to #2.
FINAL GAME:
GCG (10-4-1)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 10-6 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 11-4 (2nd)
VERDICT: close

Oakland started the season winning 3 of their first 4 games before losing 4 straight games. They bounced back winning 3 of their next 4 games before losing their last 3 games to end all postseason hopes. Oakland improved this season with 6 wins plus 4 loses by 1 score. They travel to the Big Apple to play the Empire who need a win to clinch the final Wildcard spot. They would love to finish with a win and spoil New York's postseason dreams.
FINAL GAME:
@NYE (9-6)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 5-11 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 6-9 (3rd)
VERDICT: fairly close

Indiana started the season 3-3 before dropping 7 of the last 9 games to get officially eliminated from Division Title & postseason contention. They travel to New England in week 16 to play a game with draft positioning on the line. Currently Indiana drafts #10 overall while New England sits at #8 or #9.
FINAL GAME:
@NEC (4-11)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 7-9 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 5-10 (4th)
VERDICT: fairly close
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Buffalo Skull Crushers 11-4 (4-2)
New York Empire 9-6 (3-3)
New England Crusaders 4-11 (3-3)
Miami Nemesis 3-12 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC East has been officially climched by Buffalo as New York was the last team to get eliminated from Division Title contention. New York currently holds the final Wildcard spot.

Buffalo had won 8 straight games after being upset by New York in week 1 before losing 3 straight games. They bounced back with 3 straight wins to clinch the East Division. They extended to consecutive postseason streak to 27 straight seasons which ranks 2nd best Alltime to Dakota (29). They currently hold the #1 seed in the AXC but will need to win to keep it. If they beat Memphis at home and Houston loses to Dakota at home, they clinch the bye. Buffalo holds tiebreakers with Kansas City & Vancouver but if 3 teams tie at 12-4 it may come down to net points. Currently Vancouver has (+110), Buffalo has (+123) Kansas City has (+108) & Houston has (+89) so the final scores of the week 16 games matter as Buffalo has a 13 point lead on Vancouver, 15 point lead on KC while Houston is 34 points behind.
FINAL GAME:
MEM (14-1)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 12-4 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 11-4 (1st)
VERDICT: nailed it

New York started the season 5-0 with impressive wins over Buffalo, Memphis & Atlanta before losing 4 straight games including a lose at home to New England in week 7. They would win 4 of their last 6 games to put themselves in position to clinch the final Wildcard spot in week 16. It's simple for New York, win and they are in versus Oakland at home. If they lose, they would need Orlando & Toronto to lose at home to Daytona & Philadelphia respectively to clinch the final Wildcard spot.
FINAL GAME:
OAK (6-9)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 7-9 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 9-6(2nd)
VERDICT: missed (but I did add a caveat that they might be a surprise dark horse to make the postseason.)

New England started the season 2-0 thanks to an easy schedule before losing 11 of their next 13 games with both wins oddly coming versus division rival New York. They host Indiana in week 16 for a game where draft positioning is on the line.
FINAL GAME:
IND (5-10)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 7-9 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 4-11 (3rd)
VERDICT: dropped ball

Miami has started the season 0-11 to match their worst start to a season back in 2029 when they finished 0-16. They bounced back with 3 straight wins including a major upset of Buffalo in week 12. They lost at New York in week 15 to snap their winning streak but the team is clearly playing better in the 2nd half of the season. They host Vancouver in week 16 where they hope to play spoiler while entering the off-season on a high note.
FINAL GAME:
VAN (11-4)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 4-12 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 3-12 (4th)
VERDICT: very very close
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
[bNORTH
Houston Roughnecks 11-4 (4-2)
Cincinnati Defenders 10-5 (4-2)
Toronto Titans 8-7 (2-4)
Pittsburgh Blitzkrieg 7-8 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC North has been clinched by Houston. Cincinnati has clinched a Wildcard spot while Toronto is still alive for the last Wildcard spot. Pittsburgh, the defending AXC Conference Champs are officially eliminated from the postseason.

Houston started 0-2 before bouncing back with 11 wins over their last 13 games to clinch the North Division. They currently hold the #2 seed but they host Dakota in week 16 where a win could land them the bye if Buffalo loses to Memphis. If Houston wins, Buffalo wins and either Vancouver or Kansas City wins then it creates a 3 way tie in the AXC which should come down to net points as the tiebreaker. Currently Vancouver has (+110), Buffalo has (+123) Kansas City has (+108) & Houston has (+89) so the final scores of the week 16 games matter as Buffalo has a 13 point lead on Vancouver, 15 point lead on KC while Houston is 34 points behind. If Houston loses to Dakota, they would fall back to the #4 seed unless Buffalo, Vancouver & Kansas City all lose too. In that scenario we would have a 4 team tie at 11-5 and again net points would become the tiebreaker with Dakota (+119) added to the mix.
FINAL GAME:
DAK (10-5)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 9-7 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 11-4 (1st)
VERDICT: shanked the punt

Cincinnati started the season going 9-2 before losing 3 of their last 4 games to get eliminated from the North Division Title while also clinching a Wildcard spot. They are locked into the #6 seed so win, lose or tie in week 16, they are the #6 seed making the trip to Providence meaningless.
FINAL GAME:
@PRI (13-2)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 10-6 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-5 (2nd)
VERDICT: nailed it

Pittsburgh started the season 5-3 before losing 5 of their last 7 games to get eliminated from all postseason contention. This is the first time since 2042 where Pittsburgh has missed the postseason and the fewest wins since 2040 where the Blitzkrieg finished 6-10.
FINAL GAME:
TEX (3-12)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 12-4 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 7-8 (4th)
VERDICT: I'm an idiot

Toronto dropped 3 straight games to start the season and went 1-4 through the first 5 games before winning 7 of their last 10 games to keep them alive for the postseason entering week 16. They need to beat Philadelphia in week 16 plus have both New York & Orlando lose at home to Oakland & Daytona respectively. It's not great odds but they have a small chance.
FINAL GAME:
PHI (10-5)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 9-7 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 8-7 (3rd)
VERDICT: pretty close
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
SOUTH
Dakota Blizzard 10-5 (5-1)
Orlando Guardians 8-7 (4-1)
Texas Hold'em 3-12 (2-4)
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks 1-13 (0-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The AXC South has been climched by Dakota while Orlando is still alive for a Wildcard spot. Texas & Daytona have been complicated eliminated from any postseason contention.

Dakota started the season 4-5 which is their worst start in francise history before bouncing back with 6 straight wins to clinch the South Division. They have extended their consecutive postseason streak to an XFL record 29 straight seasons while also having 29 straight seasons with double digit wins. Dakota is currently the #4 seed but if they beat Houston on the road in week 16, they will move up to the #3 seed unless Buffalo, Vancouver & Kansas City all lose then it creates a 4 team tie at 11-5 and the tiebreaker would be net points. Currently Dakota has (+119) Vancouver has (+110), Buffalo has (+123) Kansas City has (+108) & Houston has (+89) so the scores in the week 16 games matter. The fact that everyone but Dakota would lose in this scenario, it would come down to if Dakota wins by 4 points or more in which case Dakota would secure the bye. Odds of happening is about 1% but it's not zero.
FINAL GAME:
@HOU (11-4)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 11-5 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-5 (1st)
VERDICT: I'm the Swami

Orlando started 2-0 before losing back to back games to fall to 2-2. They then won 5 of their next 6 games before losing 4 straight games to fall 2 games behind Dakota in the South Division. They beat Pittsburgh in week 15 to keep their postseason hopes alive but it wasn't enough to stay alive in the South Division. They simply need to beat Daytona at home plus have Oakland beat New York on the road and they clinch the final Wildcard spot.
FINAL GAME:
DAY (1-14)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 10-6 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 8-7 (2nd)
VERDICT: slightly off

Texas lost 3 straight games to start the season before winning 2 of the next 4 games. They lost 7 straight games before winning at Daytona in week 15 for just their 3rd win. In the last 21 seasons, Texas has only had a losing record 3 times including this season and this is their worst record in 23 seasons where they finished 2-14 in 2023.
FINAL GAME:
@PIT (7-8)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 8-8 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 3-12 (3rd)
VERDICT: whiffed hard

Daytona has started 0-7 for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons before winning at home in Overtime 6-3 versus Indiana in week 8. They have lost the last 7 straight games and find themselves in the mix for the #1 overall pick. If they fail to beat Orlando on the road in week 16, they will finish with just 1 win for the 3rd time in francise history plus they have 4 zero win seasons.
FINAL GAME:
@ORG (8-7)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 4-12 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 1-14 (4th)
VERDICT: super optimistic

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 14)

NXC

With 1 game remaining, the NXC has all 4 Divisions clinched plus the Bye is clinched plus 2 of the 3 Wildcard spots are clinched. That leaves just 2 teams fighting for the final playoff spot.

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Memphis 14-1 (12-0) (1) 0
2. Providence 13-2 (11-1) (2) 0
3. Arizona 13-2 (9-2) (3) 0
4. Gem City 10-4-1 (7-4-1) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Vegas 10 -4-1 (6-4-1) (6) +1
6. Atlanta 10-5 (7-4) (7) +1
7. Philadelphia 10-5 (7-5) (5) -2
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
8. Tampa Bay 9-6 (7-4) (8) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

☆Philadelphia dropped 2 spots from #5 to #7 as they still haven't clinched a playoff spot.

☆Vegas & Atlanta each moved up 1 spot, Vegas going #6 to #5 while Atlanta went from #7 to #6.

☆Memphis has clinched the bye.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
EAST
Providence Islanders 13-2 (5-1)
Philadelphia Slayers 10-5 (4-2)
Washington Warriors 4-11 (1-5)
Brooklyn Hitmen 3-11 (2-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC East was clinched by Providence while Philadelphia is still alive for a Wildcard spot with Brooklyn & Washington are eliminated from all postseason contention.

Providence starting the season 1-1 on the road before winning 12 of their next 13 games to clinch the NXC East while currently the #2 seed. They need to beat Cincinnati at home to lock up the #2 seed or have Arizona lose at Seattle in week 16. If they lose and Arizona wins then they drop to the #3 seed.
FINAL GAME:
CIN (10-5)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 11-5 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 13-2 (1st)
VERDICT: under estimated greatness

Philadelphia started the season 3-3 before winning 7 of last 9 games. It wasn't enough to stay alive for the East Crown but Philadelphia is still alive for the last Wildcard spot. If they win they clinch at least the #7 seed and could move up to #6 if either Atlanta or Vegas loses and wind up at #5 if both Atlanta & Vegas lose. If they lose, they need Tampa Bay to lose or if Tampa Bay wins, they would then need Atlanta to lose to create a 3 team tiebreaker at 10-6 which Tampa Bay loses based on Division record.
FINAL GAME:
@TOR (8-7)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 10-6 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-5 (2nd)
VERDICT: very very close

Washington was 0-6 and on pace to match last seasons 0-8 start before New ownership took control in the Nation's Capital. Since his arrival the team has gone 4-5 and suddenly dangerous down the stretch. They have moved into 3rd place in the East for the first time since they finished in 3rd place in 2043. Washington is officially eliminated from the postseason but will look to spoil Houston's dreams of landing the bye in week 16.
FINAL GAME:
VBA (10-4-1)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 6-10 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 4-11 (3rd)
VERDICT: hand grenade close

Brooklyn started the season 2-1 before losing 11 of their last 12 games as their season went completely off the rails. After back to back double digit win seasons where they made the postseason, they collapsed this season back to the 2041 & 2042 Era Hitmen who finished 3-13.
FINAL GAME:
@LAC (5-9-1)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 9-7 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 3-12 (4th)
VERDICT: way way off
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
WEST
Arizona Wranglers 13-2 (4-1)
Vegas Black Aces 10-4-1 (4-1-1)
Los Angeles Challengers 5-9-1 (1-4-1)
Seattle Barbarians 2-13 (1-4)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Arizona has clinched the NXC West while Vegas clinched a Wildcard spot. Los Angeles & Seattle are eliminated from division Title contention.

Arizona started the season 4-0 before a lose in Vegas in week 5. They responded with 9 wins in their next 10 to clinch the West Division for the 6th straight season. They currently hold the #3 seed and with a win at Seattle plus a Providence lose at home to Cincinnati, they move up to the #2 seed.
FINAL GAME:
@SEA (2-13)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 14-2 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 13-2 (1st)
VERDICT: I'm good!!!

Vegas started the season 1-2-1 despite playing 4 close games. They bounced back strong with 9 wins in their last 11 games which fell short for the West Division Title but they clinched a Wildcard spot as Vegas makes the postseason for the first time in 3 seasons but they have made the postseason in 12 of the last 14 seasons. They currently hold the #5 seed and lock it up with a win at Washington in week 16. If they lose, they fall to the #6 seed if either Atlanta or Philadelphia wins in week 16. They can fall to the #7 seed if both Atlanta & Philadelphia win.
FINAL GAME:
@WAS (4-11)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 9-7 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-4-1 (2nd)
VERDICT: under estimated success

Los Angeles started 2-0-1 with convincing wins over Washington & Daytona with a 31-31 tie sandwiched between them in week 2 before losing 9 of their last 12 games to get eliminated from any postseason contention for the 7th straight season. After finishing 9-7 in 2044, they took a step back last season when they finished 7-9 and they have taken another small step backwards this season despite bigger expectations.
FINAL GAME:
BRO (3-12)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 10-6 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 5-9-1 (3rd)
VERDICT: swing and a miss

Seattle started 0-4 including 3 straight loses at home before hosting Daytona in week 5 and winning their 1st game. They would lost their next 8 games including 4 straight shutouts & 3 games where they scored just 3 points before exploding for 21 points & a win versus Los Angeles. They followed that up with another shutout lose at home versus Vegas. It's the 5th time they have been shutout this season and a week 16 matchuo with Arizona could produce a 6th. It's still nowhere near the record of 10 shutouts in 2023 when Daytona went 0-16 and scored just 34 points for the season.
FINAL GAME:
ARZ (13-2)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 4-12 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 2-13 (4th)
VERDICT: fairly close
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
[bNORTH
Gem City Gangsters 10-4-1 (5-1)
Montana Grizzlies 7-8 (5-1)
Zehlendorf Zecken 6-9 (2-4)
Saint Paul Punishers 1-14 (0-6)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Gem City has clinched the NXC North while Zehlendorf, Montana & Saint Paul have been eliminated from postseason contention.

Gem City got off to a 4-1 start before going 1-2-1 over their next 4 games. They would bounce back with 5 wins in their last 6 games to clinch the NXC North for the 8th time in the last 9 seasons. They are locked into the #4 seed so Gem City can rest players so they can enter the postseason as healthy as possible. At least Kansas City hopes Gem City doesn't try to hard to win in week 16.
FINAL GAME:
@KCY (11-4)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 11-5 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-4-1 (1st)
VERDICT: very close

Montana started the season 2-6 before bouncing back with 5 wins in their last 7 games. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late for the Grizzlies as they were officially eliminated from all postseason contention. They travel to Tampa Bay in week 16 and the Fireballs need to win so Montana will look to play spoiler while also finishing the season 8-8. They have only achieved 8-8 or better 9 times in 28 seasons so they would like to make it their 10th so they can enter the off-season with some positive momentum.
FINAL GAME:
@TBY (9-6)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 9-7 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 7-8 (2nd)
VERDICT: in the ballpark

Zehlendorf started the season 5-2 before losing 7 of their last 8 games to be officially eliminated from postseason contention. This is the 10th straight season missing the postseason and they will enter the off-season with questions about what went wrong in the 2nd half of the season. They travel to Atlanta in week 16 to face the 5× defending Champs and how they perform in the game, even in a lose will say alot.
FINAL GAME:
@ATL (10-5)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 8-8 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 6-9 (3rd)
VERDICT: slightly off

Saint Paul is 1-13 this season and the 1 win was in overtime versus a team with a 2-12 record. They are clearly at rock bottom as a francise since this would be 3 straight seasons with 1 win barring an upset down the stretch. They have drafted #1 and #2 overall the last 2 seasons and should be in the top 2 once again. They travel to Carolina in week 16 and the team seems to have packed it up weeks ago since they have scored a combined 7 points in their last 3 games while allowing 186 points.
FINAL GAME:
@CAR (3-11-1)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 3-13 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 1-14 (4th)
VERDICT: over optimistic fail
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
SOUTH
Memphis Maniacs 14-1 (6-0)
Atlanta Dominators 10-5 (4-2)
Tampa Bay Fireballs 9-6 (2-4)
Carolina Cobras 3-11-1 (0-6)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The NXC South has been clinched by Memphis. Atlanta has clinched a Wildcard spot while Tampa Bay is still alive for the last Wildcard spot. Carolina has been eliminated from postseason contention. The NXC South joins just the AXC North as the two Divisions with 3 teams with a winning record and all 3 in playoff contention.

Memphis started 1-1 after a week 2 upset lose to New York before running off 13 straight wins to clinch the South for just the 3rd time in francise history. They have also clinched the bye so they travel to Buffalo for a possible XFL XXIX preview and have nothing to play for but maybe pride or bragging rights.
FINAL GAME:
@BUF (11-4)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 15-1 (2nd)
CURRENT RECORD: 14-1 (1st)
VERDICT: super close record-wise but missed what place they would wind up in due to Atlanta's early struggles.

Atlanta started the season 3-4 before bouncing back with 6 straight wins and then they lost at home to Memphis to end their Division Title chances. Despite the slow start and getting swept by Memphis, Atlanta has clinched a Wildcard spot and will get to defend their 5 straight Titles. They currently hold the #6 seed and if they win they will be the #6 seed unless Vegas loses to Washington then they become the #5 seed.
FINAL GAME:
ZEZ (6-9)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 15-1 (1st)
CURRENT RECORD: 10-5 (2nd)
VERDICT: way off here

Tampa Bay started the season 1-2 versus 3 playoff teams from last season before winning 4 straight games to move to 5-2. They would then lose 3 straight games to perennial playoff contenders before winning 4 of their last 5 games to keep their postseason dreams alive. They need to beat Montana at home in week 16 plus have Philadelphia lose at Toronto to make the postseason. It's their only path to the postseason.
FINAL GAME:
MTG (7-8)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 7-9 (3rd)
CURRENT RECORD: 9-6 (3rd)
VERDICT: I fell short of teams quick progression this season

Carolina started the season 3-2 before losing 9 of their last 10 games with the 10th being a tie. They are officially eliminated from the postseason and makes 9 times in the last 10 seasons where Carolina will miss the postseason. The future for Carolina looks rough as now in addition to Memphis & Atlanta in their division, Tampa Bay has made a case for the postseason under the teams new owner.
FINAL GAME:
SPP (1-14)

PRESEASON PREDICTION: 6-10 (4th)
CURRENT RECORD: 3-11-1 (4th)
VERDICT: not that close really but kinda

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 16)

IT'S A WRAP/THAT'S ALL FOLKS

AXC

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Houston 12-4 (9-3) (2) +1
2. Vancouver 12-4 (9-3) (3) +1
3. Buffalo 11-4 (9-3) (1) -2
4. Dakota 10-6 (8-4) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Kansas City 12-4 (8-4) (5) 0
6. New York 10-6 (5-6) (7) +1
7. Cincinnati 10-6 (8-4) (6) -1
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

Houston clinched the bye in the AXC thanks to a convincing win at home over Dakota 32-10 coupled with Buffalo's lose at home to Memphis 13-11.

Vancouver traveled to Miami in week 16 and won big 48-7 to clinch the AXC West and secure the #2 seed despite finishing with the same record as Houston (12-4). Houston traveled to Vancouver in week 11 and won 34-17 to earn the tiebreaker which cost Vancouver the bye.

Buffalo hosted Memphis in a possible XFL XXIX preview and lost a heartbreaker 13-11 after some risky decisions in the first half of the game. During their 1st possession on 4th & goal from the 8 they went for it instead of attempting a 25 yard fieldgoal. Their 2nd possession also ended similarly on a 4th & goal from the 6 yard line but Memphis was sacked in the endzone for a safety on the next play so they still managed 2 points. Their 3rd possession ended on a 4th & 1 from the Memphis 36 so in total they bypassed a possible 9 points and scored just 2 points. Four trips inside Memphis territory including 3 redzone visits in the 1st half and they went into halftime leading 5-3 after kicking a fieldgoal from the Memphis 2 yard line as time run out in the 1st half. Buffalo outgained Memphis 380 to 238 in Total yards while controlling time of possession nearly 40 to 20 minutes but 4 interceptions and going 5 for 11 on 4th down cost Buffalo points while Memphis threw 3 interceptions themselves as points were at a premium. Buffalo did score a TD late in the 4th quarter to make the score 13-11 but failed to convert the tying 2 point conversion which ultimately lost them the game. It's Buffalo's 27th postseason appearance (2nd Alltime) & 25th AXC East Title which is the most by any team in XFL history.

Dakota lost big in week 16 to Houston but they had little to play for as it seemed clear they would be the #4 seed. Still they did field their starters and played to win and Houston beat them 32-10 thanks to 4 interceptions, going 0 for 3 on 4th down and a missed fieldgoal. Dakota went 1-5 versus playoff teams this season and I'm predicting a quick exit for the Blizzard in the postseason.

Kansas City hosted Gem City and won 31-12 to do their part but Vancouver went to Miami and took care of business which cost KC the Division Title. KC did lock up the #5 seed as the top Wildcard spot and will travel to Dakota who they have beaten 3 straight games including last season in the Wildcard round at Dakota 37-27.

New York hosted Oakland in week 16 in a win and your in game. They handled their business and won 41-20 to put an exclamation mark on the season by clinching the #6 seed. If New York had lost, Orlando would have eliminated them since they won and held the head to head tiebreaker. Not only did New York clinch a Wildcard spot, but with Cincinnati losing they moved from the #7 seed to the #6 seed thanks to NY's week 11 win over Cincinnati 37-15. This is New York's first postseason appearance in 7 years and it happened under new ownership who took over last season. New York is playing with house money now and travel to Buffalo in the Wildcard round for a rubber match.

Cincinnati started the season 9-2 and held 1st place in the North plus the #1 seed in the AXC before a mini-collaspe in the final 5 weeks where they lost 4 of their last 5 games to back into the postseason as the #7 seed. They will need to snap out of it quickly since they must travel to Vancouver in the Wildcard round. QB Remy Beaucamp is an enigma, the 1st overall pick of the 2043 draft has struggled to live up to expectations until he seemed to have turned the corner last season into the start of this season before eventually getting benched for 3 games until the week 16 matchup with Providence. The question becomes who is the QB for the Wildcard game in Vancouver???

Orlando did their part and won at home versus Daytona in week 16 but they needed New York to lose which didn't happen so Orlando misses the postseason for the 2nd straight season despite high expectations in both seasons.

Toronto had slim postseason hopes entering week 16 and losing at home to Philadelphia 33-17 ended their chances. Even with a win, they wouldn't have made the postseason since both Orlando & NewYork won. Toronto hasn't had a losing season for 10 straight years but they have missed the postseason for a 2nd straight season & 3 of the last 4 seasons.

Pittsburgh is the defending AXC Conference Champ but they won't be able to defend that Title since they will miss the postseason for the first time in 3 seasons. They did finish 8-8 as all 4 teams in the AXC North finished without a losing record for the 4th straight season.

Indiana traveled to New England and won 6-0 to finish 7-9 as the francise has missed the postseason in 14 of the past 15 seasons. They did show improvement this season with their 7 wins considering they combined for just 9 wins in the past 2 seasons.

Oakland started the season 3-3 but they were highly competitive and could have been 6-0 as they lost the 3 games by a combined 12 points with 1 lose coming in overtime. They finished 3-7 down the stretch but only 1 lose was by 1 score as the season seemed to get away from them. It's the 3rd straight season missing the postseason but they have improved marginally over the past 3 seasons, going from 3 wins to 5 wins and finishing with 6 wins this season.

New England finished 4-12 and will miss the postseason for the 18th time in the last 19 seasons including 9 straight. In New England's first 25 seasons, they had 4 wins or less just twice while they have had 4 wins or less in their last 4 straight seasons.

Miami started the season 0-11 before running off 3 straight wins including a major upset of Buffalo at home. It was their first 3 game winning streak since 2042 and just their 7th win over Buffalo in 58 games. It's been a dozen years since Miami has made the postseason.

Texas has missed the postseason in 10 of the last 11 seasons but this season they hit rock bottom going 3-13. The previous 10 seasons they went a combined 78-82 and 3-13 is the 3rd worst record in francise history. I expect them to bounce back next season as they have been too consistent to remain at the bottom of the AXC.

Daytona went 1-15 this season for the 4th time in francise history as its been 29 straight seasons without a postseason appearance and 26th time in 29 seasons where they finished with a losing record. They land the #1 overall pick for the 5th time in francise history as 3 #1 picks are still on the roster.

NXC

PLAYOFF SEEDING
1. Memphis 15-1 (12-0) (1) 0
2. Providence 14-2 (11-1) (2) 0
3. Arizona 14-2 (10-2) (3) 0
4. Gem City 10-5-1 (7-4-1) (4) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
5. Vegas 11 -4-1 (7-4-1) (5)
6. Atlanta 11-5 (8-4) (6)
7. Philadelphia 11-5 (7-5) (7)
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
8. Tampa Bay 10-6 (8-4) (8) 0
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

Memphis capped off a 15-1 season with a 13-11 win at Buffalo. They had already clinched everything entering the game but they pulled off a win defensively by creating turnovers and stopping Buffalo on 4th down. It's 6 straight postseasons for Memphis but just their 3rd Division Title. They clinched the bye and with just 4 players knicked up they should be fully healthy for their Division round game. It's the best season in francise history.

Providence finished 14-2 which is their best season in francise history as they make the postseason for the 6th straight season including back to back Division Titles. They land the #2 seed and face 1 of the 2 teams that beat them in the regular season Philadelphia but that game was on the road as Providence won the rematch at home making this another rubber match.

Arizona finished 14-2 as the make the postseason for the 7th straight season & win the NXC West for the 6th straight season. They are the #3 seed with a 14-2 record which speaks to how stacked the NXC is this season and when you add a 10-6 team missing the postseason you understand why the NXC is favorite to win it all for the 8th straight season. The question becomes can Arizona finally break through in the postseason as they are 5-6 the previous 6 postseasons including 3 one & done appearances. They draw the 5× defending XFL Champs in the Wildcard round so will they knock them out or will it be 4 one & dones in 7 years?

Gem City won the NXC North for the 8th time in the last 9 seasons as they finished 10-5-1. It's the 20th time in 29 seasons where the Gangsters have had double digit wins & their 14th Division Title which ranks 4th Alltime among the 32 teams. They host Vegas in the Wildcard round and it's the 3rd time they have met in the postseason where both teams have won at home.

Vegas finished 11-4-1 as they snap a 2 season absence from the postseason as they have made the postseason for the 12th time in the last 14 seasons. It's hard to remember but Vegas is the last team not named Atlanta to win the XFL Title and after 4 subpar seasons they seem to be back to their old form. They visit Gem City in the Wildcard round in a pick'em game.

Atlanta started 2-3 them 3-4 while the team was in the process of being sold after 5 straight XFL Titles. The uncertainty seemed to creep.dowm onto the field but once the team was finally sold to a new owner, Atlanta took off winning 8 of their last 9 despite getting swept by Memphis. The first 7 games they outscored their opponents 197-106 (+91), and average score of 28-15. The final 9 games they outscored their opponents 440-81, an average score of 48-9. They travel to Arizona in the Wildcard round where they are 3-2 Alltime versus the Wranglers including 1-2 at Arizona but Atlanta has won the last 3 meetings.

Philadelphia made the postseason for the 9th straight season since Waitwut bought the team in 2038. They have only gone 5-8 in the postseason during that stretch and Philly will look to take that next step this postseason but it won't be easy as they must travel to Providence who is playing as well as any team in the league. The good news is Philadelphia is 2-0 Alltime versus Providence in the postseason but the bad news is both those games were at home.

Tampa Bay finished strong winning 5 out of the last 6 games to end 10-6 but unfortunately in the stacked NXC it wasn't quite enough as Tampa Bay just misses the postseason. It's the first season of ownership for A. Jackson and Tampa fans may be disappointed but they are also wearing shades because the future is so bright. It's the 7th straight season missing the postseason but it may be the last for a long time.

Montana finished 7-9 after going 10-6 last season and winning the NXC North for the 1st time in francise history. The schedule did them no favors as they played 8 postseason teams plus a 9th game against 10 win Tampa Bay where they went 1-8. They went 6-1 in games they were suppose to win and will need to improve versus better competition next season if they hope to return to the postseason next year.

Zehlendorf started the season 6-3 before collapsing in the 2nd half to finish 6-10. Much like Montana they went 1-8 versus postseason teams and will need to improve versus better competition next season if they hope to make the postseason since this makes 10 straight seasons where they missed the playoffs.

Los Angeles finished 5-10-1 despite high expectations entering the season. They started the season 2-0-1 before going 3-10 to finish the season. They went 0-9 versus postseason teams and again they need to play better versus higher level competition before they can take that next step as a francise. It's been 7 straight seasons missing the postseason in Warthogs 4th season as owner. They definately took a step back this season but I expect they will bounce back next season.

Brooklyn finished 4-12 tgus season as they took a giant step backwards this season which wasn't expected at all. This was B. Poppa's 4th season as owner and after back to back double digit win seasons, it's hard to pinpoint what went wrong this season. They did go 1-9 versus postseason teams so it may just be a case of brutal schedule plus missed opportunities in close games. Again, I fully expect the francise to bounce back next season.

Washington started the season 0-6 before going 4-6 down the stretch which coincided with the team being sold to an established owner. They have missed the postseason for half a dozen straight seasons but under new ownership I fully expect the team to rebuild & rebound quickly in the next few seasons.

Carolina finished 3-12-1 as they play in one of the toughest Divisions in the league after starting the season 3-2. It's 7 straight seasons missing the postseason in Dr. Hayhurst's 5th season as owner. Playing in the same Division with Atlanta, Memphis & now Tampa Bay will make climbing out of this hole much more difficult then in other divisions but the constant battles with elite level teams should eventually pat dividends down the road.

Saint Paul finished 2-14 after a week 16 win versus Carolina to avoid 3 straight 1 win seasons. It may have cost them a few spots in the draft but at least they enter the off-season on a win and hopefully they can carry some positive momentum into next season. The francise is at rock bottom now after winning just 10 games combined the past 5 seasons. It's P. C. Numbers 3rd season as owner as his rebuild should show some growth next season even if it's just 4-5 wins.

Seattle finished 2-14 and should have the 2nd pick in the draft. This makes 15 straight seasons missing the postseason including 8 seasons under current owner Rialto. In his 8 seasons of ownership the team has gone 25-102-1 (.195) which hasn't given Seattle fans much to cheer about. It feels like the team should start taking positive steps next season based on the high draft picks they have accumulated over the last half dozen seasons.

QB ALLPRO & MVP was difficult once again.

MVP

I considered several players including QB Matthew Whitney & WR Terrance McConkey for MVP before finally selected QB Anthony Henderson for the 15-1 Memphis Maniacs.

QB

This wasn't easy either, QB Matthew Whitney has ridiculous yardage again & TD passes but was also 2nd in Interceptions & times sacked but nobody did enough to offset thise blemishes to take it from him.

Honorable mention to Atlanta QB Alvin Johnson who finished 2nd in the league in TD passes with 46 while having just 11 interceptions in only 9 starts. I had to seriously consider him for the ALLPRO but he just didn't play enough games!
