2047 offseason

Welcome everyone to the 30th season of the XFL!!!

All 32.owners returned which is amazing and I thank each & everyone of you!

We are entering free agency and I want to remind everyone and inform all the new owners that we only allow the "Max contract" in this league.



Anyone who doesn't know the difference between the 'Max Contract" (allowed) & the "Super Max Contract (banned), it is fully explained here:

I did an offer lower than super max but higher $303,232, 104/6yrs.

Is this forbidden ?

Generally, why is super max contract not allowed ?
If you are a good cap manager you should do that feature, it is one element of MFN.
BTW you can do so one / maybe two times before your cap limit is zero.

How did you get higher then the max?
Adjusting each year's base salary?

I banned supermax contracts because free agency is a wasteland and the few free agents worth a max contract should be available to every team.

Not everyone will take the time to adjust max contracts and this just makes the process even for everybody to bid on the best players with minimal hassle.

It's really the only rule I have other then Fielding a real qb, k & p

I adjust one year base and raise up 6 years.

To change base and/or bonus you can simulate back/front loaded contracts like in NFL.

Yeah, that's exactly what is forbidden, I posted the highest contract allowed so everyone is on the same page.

$303,232,104 is max offer in total otherwise you will cancel the deal, do you?

I can't cancel the deal so if anyone makes a free agent deal above the allowed max....I will ask the owner to cut the player on the next Sim which would destroy their cap. If they refuse then I would have no choice but to boot them from the league, take over the team and cut that player myself then give the team to the first owner on the waiting list.

Last season, we had 1 player worth a max contract and 18 teams bid on him and he signed with Pittsburgh, the defending AXC Conference Champs and they didn't even make the playoffs last season.

I posted this message so nobody trys to use anything more then a simple make the contract 6 years and move both sliders all the way to the right. Anything else is against the rules.

Nobody has ever used a supermax deal so far in the XFL. I check every year and dread the day when someone does it because it probably means I lose an owner.

To avoid error,
$303,232,104 is the limit, isn't it ?
