NXC

The NXC has 4 teams that have clinched their ticket to the postseason (Atlanta/Memphis/Providence/Phoenix) including 1 division winner (Phoenix). 3 teams have been eliminated from the postseason (Seattle/Carolina/Saint Paul).

That leaves 9 teams alive fighting for the final 3 postseason spots.

Phoenix 10-2 (5-0)
Los Angeles 6-6 (3-2)
Vegas 4-8 (2-3)
Seattle 1-11 (0-5)

PHOENIX
They started the season winning their first 5 games before losing 2 straight to fall to 5-2. They won their next 4 games and headed to Seattle in week 12 where they clinched the West with a 47-0 shutout win. They come home in week 13 to host Vegas (4-8).

OFFENSIVE MVP: WR Son Johnson

LOS ANGELES
They started the season winning their first 2 games and 4 of their first 5 games before losing 4 straight games to fall to 4-5. They won in week 10 to snap the losing streak before losing on the road in week 11. They traveled to Carolina in week 12 for a "must win" game for the Challengers and they won 28-8 to even their record at 6-6. They come home in week 13 to host Seattle (1-11) as they currently sit as the 8th seed in the NXC and trail Philadelphia for the final playoff spot by 1 game.

Providence sits atop the division with a 3 game lead over Washington and 4 game lead over Philadelphia. Providence and Philadelphia split their season series plus Providence beat Washington in the first of 2 games. On the other hand Philadelphia has swept the season series with Washington.

CLINCH SCENARIOS
POSTSEASON: 3 wins plus Indiana & Toronto lose 1 game or 3 wins plus KC loses 2 games & Indiana or Toronto loses 1 game.
DIVISION: 3 wins plus Cincinnati loses 2 games & Toronto loses 1 game or 2 wins plus Cincinnati loses 3 games & Toronto loses 2 games.

The North could end in a 3 team tie at 10-6, 9-7 or 8-8 and if Cincinnati & Toronto both lose to Houston then all 3 teams would have a 3-3 division record. If that scenario plays out then it would come down to net points. Houston may be mathematically alive but if they win out and the other 3 teams end up 8-8 we would have a 4 team tie with all 4 teams having 3-3 division records which again would goto net points. The 4 teams currently sit:

Cincinnati +158
Toronto +33
Pittsburgh +32
Houston -12

SOUTH
Dakota has already won the South crown for the 25th time in francise history while making the postseason for an XFL record 30th straight season. No news & notes for week 14 as I've been extremely busy and haven't had the time.

Some big games tonight for postseason spots and seeding and good luck to those that need to win.

I hope to have time to break it all down after the week 15 games.

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 15)

AXC

5 postseason spots (Cincinnati/Buffalo/Dakota/New York) have been clinched including 3 Divisions (Cincinnati/Buffalo/Dakota) leaving the West Division winner plus 1 Wildcard up for grabs as Kansas City has clinched at least a Wildcard.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Dakota 13-2 (12-0)*
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Buffalo 13-2 (9-2)*
3. Cincinnati 10-5 (8-4)*
4. Kansas City 9-5-1 (7-4-1)*
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. New York 11-4 (7-4)*
6. Pittsburgh 9-6 (7-4)
7. Vancouver 9-6 (7-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
8. Indiana 8-6-1 (6-4-1)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

BYE
Dakota visited Buffalo in week 15 where the winner took control of the bye in the AXC while the loser becomes the #2 seed. Dakota won a shootout 43-36 to move into the #1 seed.

Dakota simply needs to win at home versus Brooklyn (7-8) in week 16 to land the bye. If Dakota loses in week 16 then Buffalo gets the bye with a home win versus Houston (6-9). If both teams lose then the bye goes to Dakota.

It would only be the 7th time Dakota has had the #1 seed in 30 seasons. It would be Buffalo's 13th time as the #1 seed.

DIVISIONS
Buffalo has clinched the East for the 14th straight season and 26th Alltime. It's the teams 28th straight postseason as they have 28 appearances in 30 seasons.

Dakota has clinched the South for the 3rd straight season and it's their 25th Division Title. It's the teams 30th straight postseason as they are the only francise in XFL history to make the postseason in every season.

Cincinnati has clinched the North for the 1st time in 8 seasons and their 7th Alltime. It's the teams 15 postseason appearance in 30 seasons.

West
Kansas City holds a thin ½ game lead over Vancouver while Indiana is 1 game behind with week 16 to go. All 3 teams can win the West regardless of the standings glitch which shows Indiana as eliminated.

KANSAS CITY (odds 70%)
They clinch the West with a win at Los Angeles (8-7) in week 16 and have already clinched a Wildcard if they lose.

VANCOUVER (odds 15%)
They clinch the West with a win at home versus Phoenix (13-2) plus a KC lose to Los Angeles (8-7) on the road.

INDIANA (odds 15%)
They clinch the West with a win at Pittsburgh (9-6) in week 16 plus loses by both KC & Vancouver in week 16. Indiana holds the tiebreaker with KC based on their win plus a tie with KC during the regular season.

If all 3 teams lose then KC wins the West.

WILDCARD
New York has clinched a Wildcard for the 2nd straight season and it's just their 3rd Wildcard in team history. This is just the teams 5th postseason appearance.

KC has clinched at least a Wildcard for the 2nd straight season as this is the teams 9th postseason appearance including 5 previous Division Titkes.

So either 1 spot is up for grabs if KC doesnt win the Division or 2 spots are up for grabs between Vancouver, Pittsburgh & Indiana if KC wins the division.

VANCOUVER (odds 25%)
They clinch at least a Wildcard with a win on the road at Phoenix (13-2) in week 16. If they lose then they need Pittsburgh to beat Indiana to clinch a Wildcard spot.

PITTSBURGH (odds 50%)
They clinch with a win at home versus Indiana (8-6-1) at home in week 16. If they lose then they need Vancouver to lose to clinch a Wildcard spot.

INDIANA (odds 50%)
They clinch at least a wildcard with a win on the road at Pittsburgh (9-6). If they lose they are eliminated.

KEY MATCHUP
Indiana @ Pittsburgh

This is a playoff play in game which also has ramifications for KC & Vancouver if either or both team lose.

NXC

All 7 postseason spots have been clinched as week 16 will decide the final seeding for 4 of those 7 teams. The #1 seed (Atlanta), #4 (Gem City) & #5 (Memphis) are locked in while week 16 will determine which team is the #2, #3, #6 & #7 seed. All 4 division winners have already been crowned (Providence/Phoenix/Gem City/Atlanta).

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Atlanta 14-1 (11-1)*
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Providence 13-2 (9-2)*
3. Phoenix 13-2 (10-2)*
4. Gem City 9-6 (7-4)*
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. Memphis 13-2 (10-2)*
6. Philadelphia 10-5 (8-4)*
7. Washington 10-5 (6-5)*
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

BYE
Atlanta has clinched the bye for the 5th time in the last 7 seasons.

DIVISIONS
Phoenix clinched the West for the 7th straight season and its their 12th Division Title Alltime.

Providence clinched the East for the 3rd straight season and it's their 6th Division Title Alltime.

Gem City clinched the North for the 2nd straight season. It's their 9th time in the last 10 seasons they won the division and 15th Division Title Alltime.

Atlanta clinched the South after being a Wildcard last season. Its the 4th time in the last 5 seasons they won the division and their 14th Alltime.

WILDCARD
Memphis has clinched a Wildcard spot for the 9th time in team history and its their 12th postseason appearance Alltime. This is the teams 7th straight postseason.

Philadelphia has clinched a Wildcard spot for the 9th time in francise history and it's their 18th postseason appearance Alltime. This is the teams 10th straight postseason.

Washington has clinched a Wildcard spot for the 3rd time in francise history and its their 7th postseason appearance Alltime. This is the teams 1st postseason appearance in 7 seasons.

KEY MATCHUPS
Providence @ Washington

If Providence wins they clinch the #2 seed since they beat Phoenix head to head and hold the tiebreaker.

If Washington wins plus Philadelphia loses at Daytona then Washington clinches the #6 seed since Philadelphia swept the season series and holds the tiebreaker.
