The Conference is top heavy as Providence, Phoenix & Atlanta all sit at 10-1 battling for the bye.

Saint Paul & Seattle have been officially eliminated while Vegas is still mathematical alive but definitely on life support as they trailed the last Wildcard by 4 games with 5 games remaining but Vegas has the easiest remaining schedule in the league as 4 of their 5 remaining opponents have a 1-10 record. So I'm saying there is a chance!!!

That leaves 13 teams within 3 games of the postseason including 11 teams within 2 games & 9 teams within 1 game of making the postseason.

PROJECTIONS/PREDICTIONS/PROGNOSTICATION

I take a look at the remaining schedule for all 32 teams and give my "most likely" prediction for each remaining game in an effort to predict who wins all 8 divisions and who makes the postseason & who doesn't.

***DISCLAIMER***
This is just an exercise in guesswork based on my opinion and not meant to be taken seriously or as a judgement on any individual owmer or team. Relax and enjoy it and don't take it to heart because I'm often wrong!
***DISCLAIMER***

The reality is I have to correctly pick 80 games for my predictions to be accurate and if I can do that then I need to quit MFN and focus on real football & real gambling!!!

AXC

Based on my predictions, Cincinnati secures the Bye based on beating Buffalo head to head and Vanxouver wins the West via a sweep of KC. Dakota wins out to win the South. Toronto secures the #5 Seed with Pittsburgh & Kansas City getting the final 2 playoff spots as Houston just misses out based on Conference record.

I went 11-5 in my week 12 projections which essentially made my previous post irrelevant!!

LMAO!!!!

I missed on:

Providence beating Atlanta
wishful thinking

Memphis beating Orlando
selfish thinking!!!

Vegas beating Seattle
surprise #1. 60-7??? WOW!!! Seattle scored just 111 combined points in their first 11 games before exploding for 60 points.

Texas beating Tampa Bay
surprise #2. Texas has won 2 of their last 3 after starting 0-9. They have scored 41 points in their 2 wins & 42 points in their 10 loses!

Washington beating Montana
This game along with Providence vs Atlanta were my 2 50/50 games so neither was a surprise!

NEWS & NOTES (WEEK 12)

We have reached the ¾ pole of the season and we recap how each team faired during the first 12 games including home/road splits plus division, conference & non-Conference records.

I then share a quick rundown on all the teams still alive for the postseason and what is possible and what they need to do to make it happen. Of the 24 teams still alive for the postseason, 17 teams still control their own destiny.

AXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Cincinnati 10-2 (9-1)
HOME: 7-0
ROAD: 3-2
DIVISION: 4-1
CONFERENCE: 9-1
They had a huge week 12 win versus Buffalo which keep them as the #1 Seed in the AXC but 3 of their last 4 games are on the road versus serious playoff contenders including New York (8-4), Toronto (9-3) & Gem City (8-4). They control their own fate, meaning if they win out, they clinch the North and secure the Bye. If they just win 2 of their last 4 games including the week 16 game @ Toronto then they clinch the North. With 3 wins they would clinch the North and the Bye as long as Toronto loses at least 1 more game.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Vancouver 8-4 (6-3)
HOME: 5-2
ROAD: 3-2
DIVISION: 3-2
CONFERENCE: 6-3
They beat division rival Oakland in week 12 to hold onto 1st place in the West based on their head to head win over Kansas City (8-4). They play 3 of their last 4 games on the road but have only 1 game remaining versus a team with a winning record and that's on the road at KC in week 16. They also control their own destiny and win the West if they win out. They can still get the bye but they would need to win out plus have Cincinnati lose 2 AXC Conference games plus have Toronto lose 1 AXC Conference game just to set up a possible 2 team tiebreaker with either Cincinnati or Toronto depending on which team wins the North.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
3. New York 8-4 (5-4)
HOME: 4-1
ROAD: 4-3
DIVISION: 4-0
CONFERENCE: 5-4
They beat New England in week 12 to move into 1st place in the East thanks to Buffalo's lose to Cincinnati thanks to a 4-0 division record plus a head to head win over Buffalo. They play their final 3 games at home after traveling to Buffalo in week 13 where a win would give them a season series sweep and the upper hand in the East. If they lose to Buffalo then they fall 1 game behind Buffalo with a season series split. They do play 2 of their 3 final home games versus serious playoff contenders including Cincinnati (10-2) & Phoenix (11-1) which makes the week 13 game versus Buffalo even more important to their playoff hopes. They do control their own destiny since if they win out they would clinch the East. They also clinch the East if they win 3 of their last 4 games if they can beat Buffalo.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
4. Orlando 6-6 (4-5)
HOME: 3-2
ROAD: 3-4
DIVISION: 3-1
CONFERENCE: 4-5
They upset Memphis in week 12 to hold onto 1st place on the South, 1 game ahead of Dakota (5-7) who comes to town in week 13 for a South Division showdown where the winner moves into sole possession of 1st place. If Orlando beats Dakota, they will have a series split plus a commanding 2 game lead with 3 games to play. If Orlando loses to Dakota then the Blizzard will own a series sweep and take 1st place based on that tiebreaker as both teams would be 6-7 with 3 games remaining. Orlando does control their own fate meaning if they win out they win the South and secure at least the 4th seed. Orlando does play 3 of the final 4 at home but everything hinges off this week 13 game.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. Toronto 9-3 (6-2)
HOME: 4-1
ROAD: 5-2
DIVISION: 2-2
CONFERENCE: 6-2
Toronto lost to Houston in week 12 to fall 1 game behind Cincinnati in the ultra competitive North division. They still have the 2nd best record in the AXC but unless they win the North, they will be relegated to being a Wildcard. They do play 3 of their last 4 games at home but have 3 games left versus serious postseason contenders including Houston (8-4), Buffalo (8-4) & Cincinnati (10-2). If Toronto wins out, they can win the North and be the #1 Seed if Cincinnati loses another game besides their head to head rematch in week 16. Toronto is one of eight teams vying for 6 playoff spots including 3 division winners & 3 Wildcards who all have records of at least 8-4.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
6. Houston 8-4 (5-4)
HOME: 5-1
ROAD: 3-3
DIVISION: 2-3
CONFERENCE: 5-4
They went to Toronto in week 12 and won their 4th straight game to firmly put themselves into the playoff picture as well as staying alive to win the North. They control their own destiny as far as making the postseason because if they win out then they will at least be the 7th Seed. To clinch the North, Houston would need to win out plus have Cincinnati lose 3 if their final 4 games which seems unlikely. Their biggest remaining game is definately the rematch with Toronto (9-3) in week 14 where they have a chance to sweep the season series which would give them an important division tiebreaker for postseason seeding.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
7. Buffalo 8-4 (6-3)
HOME: 5-1
ROAD: 3-3
DIVISION: 3-1
CONFERENCE: 6-3
They lost a key Conference showdown with Cincinnati in week 12 which currently dropped them from 1st place in the East and they went from the #2 Seed to the #7 Seed. They host New York (8-4) in week 13 which will go a long way in determining the East division Champ. Buffalo lost the first matchup with NY 27-26 on the road and will be looking for a series split instead of being swept. They still control their own destiny as far as winning the division so if they win out they will clinch at least the #3 Seed while the #1 Seed is most likely out of reach. They would need to win out and have Cincinnati lose 3 of their final 4 games to clinch the bye.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
8. Kansas City 8-4 (6-3)
HOME: 4-1
ROAD: 4-3
DIVISION: 3-1
CONFERENCE: 6-3
They are coming off a Conference win in week 12 where they beat Daytona 37-0 on the road but still find themselves on the outside looking in for the postseason & the West division Title. They do play 3 of their final 4 games at home and still control their own destiny because if they win out, they clinch the West and at least the #3 Seed. Without a doubt, the biggest game remaining is their week 16 rematch with Vancouver which should ultimately determine which team wins the West with the loser possibly missing the postseason.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
9. Pittsburgh 8-4 (6-4)
HOME: 5-1
ROAD: 3-3
DIVISION: 2-4
CONFERENCE: 6-4
They went to Miami in week 12 and won 31-10 to put themselves at 8-4 but their 2-4 record within the North has them in 4th place in the toughest division in the XFL. Despite being the current #9 seed, they still control their own destiny since if they win out they will clinch at least the 7th Seed. To win the division they would need to win out and get a ton of help as Cincinnati would need to lose 3 games, Toronto would need to lose 2 games & Houston would need to lose 1 game.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
10. Oakland 6-6 (4-5)
HOME: 4-2
ROAD: 2-4
DIVISION: 1-4
CONFERENCE: 4-5
They lost to Vancouver in week 12 which put their chances of making the postseason into the ICU. They need to win out to give themselves any chance of making the postseason and they host Providence (10-2) in week 13. If they do manage to win out, they would need a ton of help and if they beat Providence in week 13 then I will detail everything that needs to happen. They still are a Longshot to win the West but again would need to win out plus have both Vancouver & Kansas City go 1-3 down the stretch which is further complicated by the fact the two teams play each other in week 16.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
11. Dakota 5-7 (5-5)
HOME: 3-3
ROAD: 2-4
DIVISION: 4-0
CONFERENCE: 5-5
They beat Indiana in week 12 to win 4 out of their last 5 games after starting the season 0-5. As the current 11th Seed, Dakota only has one avenue to make the postseason and that's to win the South Division. They trail Orlando by 1 game in the division and owns a head to head win over the Guardians. They travel to Orlando (6-6) in week 13 and it's basically a playoff game which will determine the South Division Champ. So despite being 5-7, Dakota still has everything right in front of them because if they win out then they win the South and will be the #4 Seed. Neither team is officially eliminated if they lose but if Dakota loses to Orlando, they would need to win their final 3 games while Orlando would need to lose 2 of their last 3 games.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
12. Indiana 5-7 (5-5)
HOME: 3-4
ROAD: 2-3
DIVISION: 2-2
CONFERENCE: 5-5
They went to Dakota in week 12 and lost their 2nd straight 26-10 to put their chances of winning the West or even making the postseason at slim to none. They need to win out their final 4 game including 3 on the road and get a TON of help. To win the West, they need to win out plus have Vancouver lose 3 games, Kansas City lose 2 other games besides their rematch and this would create a 4 team tie in the West at 9-7 where KC, Vancouver & Indiana would have a 4-2 division record. That would create a 3 division team tiebreaker scenario and I have no idea which team would win that scenario. If Indiana wins out plus Cincinnati loses out while Vancouver loses 3 games and Oakland loses 2 games then Indiana wins the West based on a season sweep of Vancouver. To become a Wildcard would require them to win out and get even more help!
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
13. Daytona 4-8 (3-6)
HOME: 4-4
ROAD: 0-4
DIVISION: 1-3
CONFERENCE: 2-6
They lost to Kansas City in week 12 37-0 for their 3rd straight lose. They are still alive to win the South but are eliminated from becoming a Wildcard. They would need to win out and finish 8-8 and have Orlando lose 3 games & Dakota lose 2 games which includes Daytona beating them both in the final 4 games.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

NXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Atlanta 11-1 (7-1)
HOME: 7-0
ROAD: 4-1
DIVISION: 3-1
CONFERENCE: 7-1
Guess whose back!!!! They hosted Providence in week 12 and won 20-16 to need into the #1 Seed thanks in part to their week 8 win over Phoenix (11-1). They have a commanding 3 game lead in the South and clinch the division with 1 more win or 1 Memphis lose. They also control their own destiny for securing the Bye which is their's if they win out or simply finish with the same record as Phoenix & Providence. It's bad news for the NXC & the entire XFL since they are poised to defend their 7 straight Titles at home.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Phoenix 11-1 (8-1)
HOME: 6-0
ROAD: 4-2
DIVISION: 4-0
CONFERENCE: 8-1
They went to Los Angeles in week 12 and sent a clear message that the West is their division with a 62-3 drubbing. They have a commanding 3 game lead in the West and clinch with 1 more win or 1 more LA lose. Phoenix is still alive to secure the Bye in the NXC but they would need Atlanta to lose another game while the Predators win out since they lost a head to head with Atlanta. Phoenix does hold the head to head tiebreaker with Providence.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
3. Providence 10-2 (8-2)
HOME: 6-0
ROAD: 4-2
DIVISION: 4-0
CONFERENCE: 8-2
They traveled to Atlanta in week 12 where the NXC bye was up for grabs and they lost 20-16 to fall to the #3 Seed. They have already officially clinched the East division Title but they appear to be locked into the #3 Seed since they trail Atlanta & Phoenix in the seeding and lost to both teams. They would need to win out and have both Atlanta & Phoenix lose 2 games each to clinch the bye.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
4. Gem City 8-4 (7-3)
HOME: 5-1
ROAD: 3-3
DIVISION: 6-0
CONFERENCE: 7-3
They beat Zehlendorf in week 12 to finish a perfect 6-0 in division games. They gave a 1 game lead over Montana in the South plus own the series sweep over the Grizzlies which essentially gives them a 2 game lead with 4 to play. Gem City is seemingly locked into the #4 Seed unless they lose 2 games and Montana wins out then they could find themselves a Wildcard unless Philadelphia wins out then they could be eliminated from the plstseason.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. Los Angeles 8-4 (7-2)
HOME: 4-3
ROAD: 4-1
DIVISION: 4-1
CONFERENCE: 7-2
A month ago, Los Angeles was the #1 Seed in the NXC but they hosted Phoenix in week 12 and lost their 3rd straight game bad, 62-3 and find themselves as the #5 Seed and reeling. The good news is they still control their own destiny and clinch the postseason if they can win 3 of their final 4 games. The bad news is they play 3 playoff contenders in their final 4 games including 2 teams chasing them in Montana (7-5) & Philadelphia (6-6). They host Montana in week 13 and a lose could drop them to the #7 seed and their week 16 matchup in Philadelphia could become a postseason play in game.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
6. Memphis 8-4 (5-3)
HOME: 4-3
ROAD: 4-1
DIVISION: 3-1
CONFERENCE: 5-3
Memphis hosted Atlanta in week 1 and defeated the defending Champs 16-3 to take control of the South. In week 12, they hosted Orlando and lost 27-16 which has almost eliminated any chance of them winning the division Title. They are the #6 and hold a 2 game lead over Philadelphia who they lost to in week 2. They play 3 of 4 games down the stretch on the road and they need 3 wins to clinch a playoff spot. 2 loses opens the door for Philadelphia to knock them out of the postseason completely and 3 loses opens the door for Brooklyn or Washington who Memphis plays in the final 4 games plus they still have their rematch with Atlanta.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
7. Montana 7-5 (6-2)
HOME: 5-2
ROAD: 2-3
DIVISION: 2-2
CONFERENCE: 6-2
They traveled to Washington in week 12 and won a key Conference showdown 13-9 to hold on to the #7 Seed. They trail Gem City by 1 game and were swept by the Gangsters so they need to win out plus have Gem City lose 2 games to win the North. They play 3 of their last 4 games on the road and 1 lose opens the door for Philadelphia while 2 loses opens the door for Washington & Brooklyn also to steal the 7th Seed. 3 more loses and they even open the door for Carolina to get the 7 Seed. The good news is if they win out they will clinch the postseason so they still control their own destiny.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
8. Philadelphia 6-6 (5-4)
HOME: 3-2
ROAD: 3-4
DIVISION: 3-2
CONFERENCE: 5-4
They traveled to Carolina in week 12 and won their 2nd straight game 24-6 to keep their postseason hopes alive. They need to win out plus have Montana lose 2 games or Memphis lose 2 games or Los Angeles lose 1 more game besides their week 16 matchup to clinch a Wildcard spot. They play 3 of their last 4 games at home but all 4 teams are postseason contenders including Providence (10-2), Atlanta (11-1) & Los Angeles (8-4).
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
9. Washington 5-7 (4-5)
HOME: 2-3
ROAD: 3-4
DIVISION: 1-3
CONFERENCE: 4-5
They hosted Montana in week 12 for a pivotal Conference game and lost 13-9 to severely hurt their postseason chances. They play 3 of their final 4 games at home and need to win out plus has Montana lose 3 games and Philadelphia lose all 4 games or have Los Angeles all 4 games or Memphis lose 3 games including their week 13 matchup.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
10. Brooklyn 5-7 (4-5)
HOME: 3-4
ROAD: 2-3
DIVISION: 1-4
CONFERENCE: 4-5
They visited Saint Paul in week 12 and won their 3rd straight game 39-9 to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. They need to win out, have Philadelphia lose 2 games plus Montana lose 3 game or Los Angeles lose 3 games or Memphis lose 2 other games besides their week 15 matchup.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
11. Carolina 4-8 (3-7)
HOME: 3-2
ROAD: 0-6
DIVISION: 1-4
CONFERENCE: 3-7
They hosted Philadelphia in week 12 and lost a key Conference game which has their postseason chances almost nonexistent. They need to win out just to reach 8-8 and host Atlanta (11-1) in week 13. I won't waste my time figuring out all the "what ifs" unless they pull the major upset of the Dominators.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
