2030 offseason/draft/training camp

welcome all to the 13th season of XFL football. The offseason is a busy time here as I have to update the XFL STATS forum, compile a list for our Hall of Fame committee to vote on plus do the annual 1st round draft review.

On a personal note, Randal Cunningham has returned for his 13th season in Dakota and I'm excited that he gets one more season.... at least!

Bert Reynolds retired. Hall of fame time.

Anthony Hopson - 4th all-time in interceptions. This is a dissection player. Who knows on viability.

Cornelius Gill - 2nd all-time in yardage due to returns. 4 and 2 career kickoff and punt return touchdowns. Dissection player.

Floyd Mills - 3rd all-time in run blocks but I'm not going to sit and advocate for offensive linemen. Who even knows how to push that initiative!

...and now I got work to do to try and not transform into Brandon Cutler or Peter Avalon of the Librarians from AEW.

Yeah I have to compile a list of deserving canidates...time consuming as Greg knows.

Bert Reynolds is a lock 1st ballot guy and I will look into all the rest.

A few news and notes as we embark on our 13th season.

A big hand for our 5 original owners entering their 13th season in the XFL!

We also have 1 owner entering year 11, 3 entering year 10, 3 entering 9 and 3 entering season 8.

The Hall of Fame will be inducing at least 5 players very soon maybe up to 8.

The XFL stats page is being updated as I'm up to kickers right now.

Our annual 1st round draft review is a go for yet another season.

I'd have to look back but I believe I did include him in my "List of 8", however, a kicker made it!

I think it was the 1st all-time in FGs that nudged my vote.

We will be introducing a new rule this season.

A linebacker must weigh a minimum of 255 pounds to play defensive end or if under the weight limit have a speed no greater than 80.

This rule is an extension of the punt block rule as an issue has arisen in another league where a 237 pound linebacker with 89 speed amassed 70 sacks in 10 games playing at defensive end.

I've notified JDB of the broken game mechanics when it comes to speed on the defensive line completely overwhelming pass blocking.

Thanks for following the league rules as we try to keep our league going without these broken plays ruining the game experience.

Season set-up done; we'll see what happens.

Age 30 speed loss for my MLB. Expected, however, mostly we track our DBs and Playmakers with this line in the sand...age descent.

Lone highly disagreement development: Age 30 offensive lineman with a retirement rate is bullsh*t. 92/92 rated so the sim engine will come for him early.

Trust me, I know a year+ ago JDB pushed up the retirement rates but age 30....
