Week 14

With just 2 weeks remaining, lets see where everyone stands in the playoff race. 22 of the 32 teams are still alive for the playoffs. The last 2 weeks should be exciting as we have plenty left to be decided.

AXC

1. #2 Dakota Blizzard (13-1)
2. #7 Buffalo Skull Crushers (13-1)

3. #4 Oakland Outlaws (12-2)
4. #8 Pittsburgh Blitzkreieg (9-5)
5. #3 Texas Hold'em (10-4)
6. #15 Houston Roughnecks (7-7)

7. #18 New England Crusaders (7-7)
8. #12 Denver Extreme (7-7)
9. #20 Michigan Wolverines (7-7)
10. #22 Miami Nemesis (6-7-1)
11. #21 Cincinnati Defenders (6-8)
12. #19 Vancouver Vandals (6-8)
13. #16 Kansas City Chaos (6-8)

I dont remember a season where 13 teams were still alive in a conference for a playoff spot. 5 of the 6 playoff spots are filled with just the seeding for the top 3 seeds to be determined so essentially 8 teams are battling for the last remaining playoff spot. What's truly amazing is the 8 teams are seperated by just 1 game!

NXC

1. #1 Zehlendorf Zecken (12-2)
2. #6 Carolina Cobras (12-1)

3. #5 Brooklyn Hitmen (11-3)
4. #10 Seattle Barbarians (9-5)
5. #17 St. Paul Punishers (9-4-1)
6. #9 Gem City Gangsters (8-6)

7. #13 Philadelphia Slayers (8-6)
8. #14 Tampa Bay Fireballs (8-6)
9. #11 Providence Islanders (7-7)

The 4 division winners are all decided with just the seeding for the top 3 to be determined. Both wildcard spots are still open with 5 teams battling for those spots.

Key Matchups Week 15

Cincinnati @ Miami ***
Carolina @ Gem City
Denver @ Vancouver ***
Brooklyn @ Providence
Houston @ Texas
Michigan @ Philadelphia
Montana @ St. Paul
Buffalo @ New York
New England @ Dakota
Oakland @ Kansas city
Zehlendorf @ Tampa Bay

***essentially a playoff game as the winner will remain alive while the loser will be eliminated.

Week 15

AXC

1. #2 Dakota Blizzard (14-1)
2. #6 Buffalo Skull Crushers (14-1)

3. #7 Oakland Outlaws (12-3)
4. #8 Pittsburgh Blitzkreieg (10-5)
5. #5 Texas Hold'em (11-4)
6. #11 Denver Extreme (8-7)

7. #15 Michigan Wolverines (8-7)
8. #18 Miami Nemesis (7-7-1)
9. #17 Houston (7-8)
10. #21 New England (7-8)

The top 2 seeds with be determined in week 16. If Dakota wins over Cincinnati they should secure the #1 based on points or if Buffalo loses to New England. If Dakota loses then Buffalo can secure the #1 seed with a win.

The #3, #4 and #5 seeds are locked with only the #6 seed to be determined. Denver controls their own destiny and secures the final playoff spot with a win over Vegas. If Denver slips then Michigan can grab it with a win over New York.

If both Michigan and Denver lose then Miami sneaks in with a win over Montana. Now if Michigan, Denver and Miami all lose, wins by both New England and Houston create a 4 team tie at 8-8.....and its anybodies guess who wins that tiebreaker.

NXC

1. #1 Zehlendorf Zecken (13-2)
2. #3 Carolina Cobras (13-2)

3. #4 Brooklyn Hitmen (12-3)
4. #10 Seattle Barbarians (10-5)
5. #13 St. Paul Punishers (10-4-1)
6. #9 Gem City Gangsters (8-7)

7. #16 Tampa Bay Fireballs (8-7)
8. #21 Philadelphia Slayers (8-7)
9. #14 Providence Islanders (7-8)

Zehlendorf controls their own destiny for the #1 seed based on their head to head win over Carolina. A win over Gem City clinches the #1 seed.

If Carolina wins over St. Paul they secure the #2 seed and need Zehlendorf to lose to jump to the #1 seed. If Carolina loses, they could drop to the #3 seed if Brooklyn wins over Washington.

Brooklyn has clinched at least the #3 seed and can jump to the #2 seed with a win over Wash paired with a Carolina lose to St. Paul.

The #4 and #5 seeds are locked in.

It looks like a mess for the # 6 seed.

Gem City needs a win over Zehlendorf and a Tampa By lose to Atlanta or a Philadphia win over Providence because while Gem City would win a 3 way tie at 9-7 with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay...Tampa Bay has a head to head win over Gem City and controls a 2 team tiebreaker between them and Gem City.

Philadelphia needs a win and Gem City lose to get in.

Tampa Bay needs a win and Philadphia lose to get in.

If Providence wins and Gem City and Tampa Bay lose they would win a 4 team tie by way of a 7-5 conference record.

I beg to differ Tampa has the tiebreaker edge over my Gangsters

Not that it matters much. Gangsters playing like **** and have been losing to playoff teams last 3 weeks, we don't deserve to get in.

No, you said Tampa has a head to head win over Gem City. Gangsters won 30-0

".Tampa Bay has a head to head win over Gem City and controls a 2 team tiebreaker between them and Gem City. "

Gem City had 7 games in the regular season against eventual playoff teams Buffalo, Brooklyn, Carolina, and 2 each against Zehlendorf and St. Paul. Can anyone guess how many of those we won?

Zero, as in 0-7. Like I said before, we don't deserve to be in. Good luck to those who did make it.

Its all good Greg...Gem City has been a contender ever since you took them out of Minnesota...you will turn em around!

2 titles in a highly competitive league isn't nothing
