5 weeks in and things are starting to sort themselves out as far as the standings.
AXC
WEST
This division has Denver and Oakland at 4-1 and they have traded winning the division the last 3 seasons. If the trend continues then Denver will win it this season but Oakland beat Denver earlier this season in Denver and holds the upper hand for now.
EAST
Buffalo gas owned this division winning it 9 straight seasons and they look primed to make it 10. New York, Miami, and New England have been improving the past couple of seasons but can they make the jump to challenge Buffalo?
NORTH
Pittsburgh has won 9 straight division titles in the North but Houston finished 8-8 last season and may be primed to challenge Pittsburgh. Houston lost in OT to Pittsburgh in week 5 and will need to get over that hurdle to take the next step.
SOUTH
This has been Dakota's division since the league began but Texas actually won the division 2 seasons ago and has had double digit win totals 3 of the past 4 seasons. Will Dakota continue to reign or will Texas finally take the crown?
NXC
EAST
Philly had a nice run owning the division until finishing 8-8 last season when Brooklyn took the crown but this season Providence has gained control at 4-1 with a win over Philly already. Will Brooklyn or Philly rebound? Or will Providence take it this season?
WEST
Its been 12 seasons since LA made the playoffs but they have a nice 2 game lead at 4-1 this season with a series sweep of Vegas under their belts. Vegas had run off 5 straight division titles before having a down year last season. Seattle ended a 8 year run without a division title last season and 2 games with LA will determine if they can repeat. Arizona has missed the playoffs 6 straight seasons after winning the title in 2025 and appear headed for a 7th.
NORTH
Arguably the best division in the league, Zehlendorf has won the last 2 titles and is tied at 4-1 with St Paul who made the playoffs as a wildcard the last 2 seasons. Gem City is 3-2 but has missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons after 8 straight playoff appearances but have a big win over Zehlendorf this season which should make this a 3 team race. Can 3 teams make the playoffs out of the same division?
SOUTH
Carolina has won this division 4 straight seasons but is tied with Tampa Bay who hasn't made the playoff for 10 straight seasons. Memphis was winless last season and is still rebuilding while once proud Atlanta who had a 10 year playoff run including 2 titles in looking at a 4th straight losing season.
