That has to be a record for scoring in a CC game Wolves/St Paul, unreal. I apologize for the punt block, I didnt check my spec teams depth chart before the game, probably had 1 or 2 players in the first six that did not play, causing the wr to slide down in there. From now on, I wont be putting wr/rb/db on the rush list at all. I thought they would be better blockers than def players, but it probably doesnt make that much of a difference if any.

I tried calling him out but it fell on deaf ears at the time. He'll probably post some long manifesto later trying to justify his actions or claim he didn't know.


Sorry you feel that way Greg, speed is a priority for me in the current game version, I also go by stats. Other than that, no manifesto and you dont have to worry about unsolicited
advice, the intention was good. To
each his own.

Shouldn't you have known this ahead of time? I find it hard to believe that you should find out about the rules just now.

To clarify....I removed Grandadb for blatant rules violations.

He claims it was accidental although admitting using WR/RB as ST RUSHER.

I dug deeper to see if this was an isolated situation and this is what I came up with.

St rusher #6-#11 are all +85 speed WR/RB and 1 TE.

I checked every punt in his last 2 regular season games then every punt in all 3 playoff games. Here is the results:

Week 15 vs Atlanta (12 punts)
#61 RDE Malik Jackson 73 speed x12
#58 RDE Van Halen 77 speed x12
#54 MLB Rene Booker 54 speed x12
#59 RDE Kevin Ivie 48 speed x12


Wildcard vs Carolina (6 punts)

18 straight playoff punts he "accidentally" had three (3) illegal players on the front four.

The thing that completely confuses me in this "accident" is that legal ST RUSHER #1 & #4 played all 3 playoff games yet while #1 played every punt...#4 while active and playing NEVER played a punt?!?!

Now for those that don't ST RUSHERS #1-#4 make up the defensive front 4 during punts.

So how does ST RUSHER #4 never play during a punt? No, he isn't on the gunner depth chart so the only logical reason is the owner set his front 4 using overrides.

If anyone else can explain this another way...please share.

Sums it up right there. I figured it was a rule thing. I too caught that sideways admission to guilt.

Unfortunately for him the league cared.

Wow, the Yard Per Averages he has on his offensive plays....basically CJ's Cunningham in his prime. I need to think on this one....

I set everything else...what's my move?

I -believe- it bare barrens his special team's depth chart and turns all the red to white on the over-rides, but if it doesn't...

I should have at him to protect myself. 100% chance it resets, right?

Im guilty of not paying enough attention to the spec teams rushers in game review and planning, I just plain missed it, as there were no blocks or near blocks in the games where the injuries to my DL caused openings on both the spec teams and overide. I made the mistake of thinking that the overide protected against the use of wr/rb/db on the DL rushing line, well, it obviously didnt. It was my mistake, Ive apologized for it and will ensure that it does not happen on any of my existing teams and future ones. U use rb/wr for blocking on the wings, which is why they were on both the regular rush list and the overide. I may not be the only one who has had this happen in this league, mine was real bad due to the number of DL spots that were open due to injury and Im not sure whether or not the overide just went up the list of existing players on the overide or selected on its own. So, Ive learned from it, enjoyed the season with the Zecks, was surprised they made it to the CC with the injuries to starters, and its too bad that a great game was wrecked by an oversight mistake.
