Wildcard Round

History was made in the Wildcard Round as all four Road teams won for the first time in XFL history. In 2027, 2028 & 2033, road teams won 3 out of 4 games in the Wildcard Round but historically the HOME team has a 41-27 (60.3%) alltime record.

Houston had one last chance to win the game and had the ball on Miami's 49 yard line but this happened to seal the game.

The 2nd half was all defense as Brooklyn couldn't get any offense going totaling just 51 total yards but the Brooklyn defense made up for it creating 3 interceptions and a safety while stopping Providence after a good fieldgoal came off the scoreboard when Brooklyn went offsides to give Providence 1st and 10 from the 14 yard line.

Divisional Round

The home teams got back on the ball and took 3 out of the 4 matchups with all 4 games being won by double digits.

AXC

Kansas City Chaos 7
@
Buffalo Skull Crushers 40

Buffalo notched it's 20th playoff victory in a lopsided affair. Kansas City was held to under 200 total yards (57 rushing/139 passing) while Buffalo compiled nearly 500 yards (142 rushing/351 passing).

Kansas City held their own in the 1st quarter and the game was a scoreless tie before the only turnover of the game opened the floodgates for Buffalo.

Buffalo scored 17 unanswered before halftime including this:

Kansas City showed some life by scoring just before halftime on this:

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5431#951700

Buffalo wasted no time dashing any hope by scoring 9 seconds into the 2nd half on this:

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5431#951709

Kansas City down 24-7 tried to answer on their next drive which was 12 plays plus 5 penalties (3 offensive/2 defensive) which ended up stalling out and totaling 32 yards. This is when Buffalo put in the dagger and twisted:

Miami Nemesis 16
@
Dakota Blizzard 34

Dakota and Miami combined for 961 yards of total offense (Dakota 550/Miami 411) but the difference in the game was 3rd down conversions. Dakota went 8/14 while Miami struggled going 2/11. This led to a major difference in the Red Zone where both teams had 4 visits but Dakota converted 2 TD/1 FG while Miami converted 0 TD/3 FG.

Miami opened the scoring, 3-0 before Dakota answered on the next drive with this:

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951826

Miami was forced to punt and Dakota looked to have scored a touchdown by it was nullified by a holding penalty. The subsequent sequence led to a fieldgoal attempt which was missed.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951842

After Miami dodged the bullet, they went 3 and out which led to this score by Dakota.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951855

Miami was down 14-3 in the 2nd quarter and after exchanging punts, Miami went on a 8 play/57 yard drive down to the Dakota 10 yard line when this happened:

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951874

Not only did the untimely interception prevent Miami cutting into the lead to make the score either 14-6 or 14-10 but Dakota took over on the 2 and went on a 10 play/90 yard drive that resulted in a fieldgoal after this play with 2 seconds remaining in the half.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951887

Dakota opened the 2nd half with a fieldgoal to extend their lead to 20-3 and Miami answered with a fieldgoal of their own set up by this play to make it 20-6

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951903

Dakota responded with this to extend their lead to 27-6

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951916

The teams exchanged turnovers on back to back plays at the end of the 3rd quarter before Miami drove down to the Dakota 41 and tried a 59 yard field goal which came up short. This gave the ball to Dakota at midfield where this play pushed the lead to 34-6

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5432#951944

Miami finally hit paydirt with this big play to cut the lead to 34-13 but it was too little too late.

NXC

Brooklyn Hitmen 16
@
Saint Paul Punishers 30

Saint Paul put up nearly 500 yards of total offense (197 rushing/300 yards passing) but turned the ball over 4 times and failed to score a TD on 3 Red Zone visits. Brooklyn tallied 317 yards of total offense (49 rushing/268 passing) but turned the ball over twice while struggling on 3rd (3/14) and 4th (0/2) down.

Saint Paul started out this game in what only be described as being in a nightmare. Bradley Pickett fumbled on their opening possession. They forced Brooklyn to punt and Clarence Chu fumbled but recovered the punt. On Saint Paul's 2nd possession, Bradley Pickett fumbled again!

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952007

Brooklyn once again was forced to punt and Saint Paul decided to throw it on 1st down during their 3rd possession.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952012

Brooklyn had the ball at the Saint Paul 26 but once again we're stopped and had to settle for a fieldgoal 3-0. Saint Paul showed guts on their 4th possession, handing the ball off several times to Bradley Pickett before hitting this throw to take the lead 7-3.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952026

Brooklyn's offense finally settled in and they went on a 75 yard drive which ended with this run to recapture the lead 10-7.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952038

After each team punted, Saint PAUL'S
QB Kenneth Powers hit 3 straight passes including this to regain the lead 14-10.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952051

On the ensuing kickoff, Brooklyn's Patrick Couture fumbled which led to a fieldgoal and a 17-10 lead.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952053

With 1:58 to go in the 1st half, Brooklyn moved the ball 54 yards in 41 seconds only to miss a 38 yard fieldgoal. Saint Paul then moved the ball 41 yards in 41 seconds and hit a 44 yard fieldgoal as time expired, set up by this pass to stretch the lead to 20-10. This was a pivotal 6 point swing that took it from 17-13 to 20-10.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952079

The 2nd half started with a Brooklyn 3 and out followed by this pass from Saint Paul's Kenneth Powers to extend the lead to 27-10.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952093

Another Brooklyn punt was followed by a Kenneth Powers interception which led to a Brooklyn fieldgoal to cut the lead to 27-13.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952105

Brooklyn's defense forced Saint Paul to punt but on the ensuing drive Brooklyn's QB Bobby Moreira threw an interception. Brooklyn's defense forced another punt but Brooklyn went for it on 4th and 3 at midfield with 9:14 remaining in the game.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952139

Saint Paul used nearly 5 minutes off the clock and hit a 20 yard fieldgoal with 4:31 remaining to make the score 30-13. Brooklyn's next possession stalled and they settled for a 50 yard fieldgoal. They attempted an onside kick which failed and that was the death blow.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5433#952158

Zehlendorf Zecken 42
@
Vegas Black Aces 20

Zehlendorf remains undefeated (6-0) alltime in the playoffs when on the road. Zehlendorf put up an astounding 609 yards of total offense (303 rushing/306 passing). Vegas did put up 340 yards of total offense but only had 5 yards rushing which made them one dimensional.

The game started with matching 3 and outs leading to punts before on Vegas's 2nd possession, QB John Hammack threw an interception.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952187

Two plays later Zehlendorf hit this pass to open the scoring.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952189

After another Vegas 3 and out, it was Zehlendorf's QB Drew Lock turn to throw a pick.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952202

Vegas converted the turnover into points on a 33 yard fieldgoal to make it 7-3. Zehlendorf followed with a balanced attack driving 75 yards on 10 plays ending with this run to make it 14-3.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952220

Another Vegas 3 and out resulted in another nice drive by Zehlendorf that culminated with this pass to stretch the lead to 21-3.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952233

Vegas answered with a 10 play/63 yard drive. All 10 plays were passes including this which set up a 30 yard fieldgoal to cut the lead to 21-6. As the 2nd half ended Zehlendorf missed on a 49 yard fieldgoal attempt.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952242

Zehlendorf opened the 2nd half with a quick 5 play drive which resulted in this long run to push the lead to 28-6.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952282

Vegas's next drive was knocked down pass, sack, knocked down pass followed by another punt. The writing was on the wall as the energy level and body language was clear from Vegas. To add insult to injury, Zehlendorf's next drive was a clinical balanced attack of Vegas's defense. Run for 6, run for 11, pass for 21, run for 4, run for 6 followed by this pass to make it 35-6 and it all reality ended this game at the 8:25 point of the 3rd quarter.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952294

Vegas continued to fight hitting this to make it 35-13.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952316

The ensuing play was a fumble by Zehlendorf and Vegas quickly turned it into 8 points to make it 35-20.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952320

Matching punts led the game into the 4th quarter and any life Vegas had was vanquished with this pass

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952334

Which led to this run to make it 42-20.

https://xfl.myfootballnow.com/watch/5434#952338

The rest of the 4th quarter was a series of punts plus Vegas threw an interception along with a turnover on downs. Zehlendorf ran the ball on 15 of its last 17 plays.

I'm extremely aggravated with the Conference Championship round.

It's not because I lost bad...good game Smirt....I lost fair and square...no its the fact that the NXC Conference Championship game which at first glance looks like an instant classic....but it's tainted because Zehlendorf clearly used the punt block cheat to his advantage.

He blocked a punt for a TD in a 7 point game.

There was only 2 punts in the **** game but on the 1st punt of the game in the 2nd quarter which was blocked for a TD....the front four consisted of:

#84 90 speed 198 WR
#54 50 speed 245 LB (only legal player)
#24 89 speed 217 RB
#81 86 speed 198 WR

2nd punt had same front 4 so clearly overrides were used to use the punt block cheat.

So congratulations to Zecken/grandadB....you used a cheat that has been banned from all my leagues for half a dozen seasons. I can't undo the win but it sucks that someone as talented as yourself resorted to such a lame trick to gain an advantage.

You aren't smarter then anyone, you simply used something that everyone else has stopped using in this game a long time ago.

The league rules as posted in the forums!!!

These rules are effective immediately and not open to debate or discussion.

1st violations will recieve a warning with the 2nd violation resulting in removal from the league.

RULE #1 PUNT BLOCKS

Only players weighting 255 lbs may play ST RUSHER in the depth chart. Injury/depth exception. Anyone under 255 used at ST rusher must be under 80 speed.

RULE #2 DEFENSIVE LINE

Only players weighting 255 may play the defensive line. If due to injury a player weighting less then 255 pounds needs to be in the depth chart...their speed MUST BE under 80.

RULE #3 TWO WAY PLAYERS

Offensive players MUST play offense only....Defensive players MUST play defense only. Anyone can play special teams as long as the first 2 rules aren't broken.

I'm pissed!!! To resort to this in such an important game destroys the integrity of my league...I've spend hundreds of hours in the XFL creating a rich tapestry of history from the Hall of Fame to Alltime Stats to MVPs and Allpros to an entire history of 1st round picks for all 32 teams.

I'm too upset to decide on a course of action so I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

What's the difference. Nobody reads this **** anyway from all the likes I'm getting....none!!!

So why bother, selfish, cheaters join a league with a rich history and **** all over it because winning at all cost is the only thing that matters. I'm sure it fills some hole in their pathetic miserable lives or something!!!

I'm sure my post will start to taper off from now on. If Nobody reads them then who am I doing it for anyway?
