Good luck tonight as training camp will help decide the future success or failure of francises for seasons to come.

Reminder to myself...

I drafted 2 DE that I turned into LB and one has 80 speed now. For training camp purposes, I put them both as ST rushers in case I move them back to DL.

I haven't decided on their new names yet, but Case has 80 speed at 283 lbs. I need to watch his weight because if he ends up less than 255 lbs, I'll need to remove him from ST Rusher. The other guy, Behrens, weighs 277 and has 73 speed. If he sticks with the average of 1 speed point per 7 lbs lost, he should be able to stay a ST rusher with 77 or 78 speed.

1.21 CB Hyman Baratta Vol: 74 +6/-11 Now 37/73

I guess the gods of volatility have decided that I haven't been in the doghouse quite long enough. What doubly hurts is that I can't spend my way out of this mess.

3.21 TE James Aubrey Vol: 58 +8/-7 Now 40/64

He can still hang on to a spot on the team, but barely.

4.21 RDE Anthony Lutes Vol: 100 +0/-21 Now 30/46

I probably just need to cut my losses with this one.

5.21 CB Kelly Hunter Vol: 80 +3/-8 Now 28/52

Even I am going to have a hard time keeping this guy.

6.21 LDE Michael Champagne Vol: 14 +6/+0 Now 35/64

His speed is less than 60, so apparently it's OK for him not to be a disaster.

7.21 SLB Francisco James Vol: 72 +6/+6 Now 35/59

If only players who were a little faster could be more successful.

I think the gods of MFN have decided that I don't **** enough. The misadventures of Rialto are becoming tempting. I am philosophically opposed to that sort of thing, but the game is driving me to it.

Only 4 draft picks and my only 1 will make the team despite busting to the tune of -9.

Horrible draft, thankfully I made some trades and signings to improve my team.

Not a bad first draft in this league!

Pretty happy with this camp, LG Carnahan should still be solid, provided he doesn't decline anymore. Always nice when your 1st booms, WR Burke could develop into a beast.

Is that true 7 lbs = approximately 1 speed? If so, then I'm happy I at least got some B+ talent at WR this draft.

Yes it's true....but there is a hidden body frame which limits both weight lose and gain for each player.

For example, a 250 lb TE may be able to gain enough weight to play OL but will only lose a few pounds or vice versa. The rub is the only way to find out is to do it.

Would love to see this game become more flexible in setting my own weight goals per position group - some type of slide with a range of about 15 lbs. Or even individual player goals - i.e. weight/Stat improvement focus during off season. Reasonably of course
