Let me preface this note by saying that I'm not angry or throwing a fit. I'm just being a good business man. I have had a young kicker on the block for two years now while folk been picking GEEZERS (at that position) off of waivers left and right. Every year he is on my team taking up a PAID roster space, his price will go up. Need a kicker and none to be found three years from now? If you want houpt it may just cost you a third round pick by then. Now his price is a 6th. I understand you guys picking up an old fart who's actually a better kicker than houpt is at this point but houpt has a different value than those other fella's have. I'm also prepared to keep him on my roster until he is useless as spit just to prove a point. Good day gentlemen.

I'm also prepared to keep ignoring you just to prove a point. Why give up a draft pick when I can get those other guys for free?

it's a free country, you wanna ignore me, so what? I've said my piece, meaning every word of it and you ignoring me is not bothering me in the least. I actually prefer being ignored by most people. Besides, commenting on my post is NOT ignoring me. and as for your question, how about thinking outside the box for once? I'm also fairly certain that if I were to cut houpt at least some that were looking for a kicker would choose him over someone who only has a year left, so using your logic why should I give away a free kicker? I hope you have a great day.

The only thing funnier than the OP will be the one that trades for a kicker. A kicker.

OP you should use all your draft picks on kicker and gain a monopoly so you can really drive the price up from funny to hilarious.

I just don’t see kickers as being that valuable in MFN.

They are if you don't have a good one. A lot of games come down to a FG and even more will next season when 4.6 is here.

As my former Hall of Fame kicker Gustavo Fring was nearing retirement, I picked up his replacement and kept him inactive for a year. When Fring hung up his cleats, I had Earl Joyce ready to take his place.

It's just there are so many decent kickers available late in the draft that I would never trade a round 5 or higher for a kicker.

Depends on what you define decent as. I had over a decade with a kicker who was 100/100 rated, so I'm spoiled. I prefer at least 90+ kick strength and accuracy.

For me, decent is a kicker who has 85 or above accuracy. In another league, I had a guy who had 86 kick accuracy and was only rated 77 overall, but he still managed to make 94% of his FGs that season.

Kickers matter.

Legends (Beta) I had an aged out offense and with my competitiveness each game to start the season found me having to write new rules to cover every ground and situation as if I was tribewriter.

Playoffs - 2 OT games and within an inch of another OT game to go for a title shot.

Beta is crazy as ****.
