2021 1.10
SLB Charles McKinney 87/87☆(Draft review)
Denver owner CoachHookchest begins his career in the XFL by selecting LB/DE Charles Mckinney. He is another Hybrid player that has the speed, intelligence, discipline and pass rush ability to become either an edge rusher at DE or OLB but he also has the coverage skills to play MLB. It will be interesting to see where Coach plans on using him. Either way he is a great pick at number 10.
He played 8 seasons in Indiana after signing a 5 year/46.2 million dollar contract extension in 2024 before hitting free agency in 2029. He received contract offers from 8 teams before signing with KC for 4 years/36.9 million before getting released week 9 of the 2031 season. In 2032, he signed a 4 year/18.7 million dollar contract with Michigan but was released prior to the season. After sitting out the 2032 season, he signed league minimum contracts with Houston in 2033 and Vancouver in 2034 before retiring after the 2034 season. He played in 126 games including 78 starts with Indiana where he recorded 524 tackles (4th alltime team), 7 sacks, 8 forced fumbles (6th alltime team), 69 knockdowns (6th alltime team), 20 interceptions (3rd alltime team) and a 56.7 catch allowed percentage on 423 passes defended (5th alltime team).

RB John Martinez (3 seasons starter/4 seasons backup/ALLPRO)
C Stephen John (8 seasons starter/1 season backup/1 season depth/ALLPRO)
TE Ralph Simmons (4 seasons backup)

The initial trade set off a chain of 3 additional trades resulting in Indiana:
Getting 5 players/22 seasons starts/3 seasons backup
Giving 8 players/32 seasons starts/21 seasons backup/9 seasons depth/ALLPRO x2
Indiana clearly loses in this series of trades losing 3 players/10 seasons starts/18 seasons backup/9 seasons depth/ALLPRO x2. That's a whopping 37 seasons lost including multiple ALLPRO seasons based on their inability to retain the players they traded to get.
2023 1.9
FS Conrad Werner 59/59☆(Draft review)
With the 9th overall pick, Indiana selects an undersized safety out of Stanford. At 5'9", Werner has average speed and quickness. It appears Denver drafted for need as no FS was on the roster. This high risk pick will get every oppurtunity to start and only time will tell if he can compete in the XFL.
Grade C
He played 6 seasons with Indiana after signing a 2 year/5.5 million dollar contract extension in 2026 and another 2 year/3.3 million dollar contract extension in 2027 followed by another 2 year/2.3 million dollar contract in 2029 before he was traded to New England in 2029. DT Jimmy Scott 72/75☆(Draft review)
This 6'2" 295 lb defensive tackle out of Oklahoma has the size and strength to play the nose in the 3-4 plus has great speed for his size and can create a pass rush in the 4-3.
Grade B+
He played 10 seasons with Indiana after signing a 3 year/14.8 million dollar extension in 2027, a 3 year/13.6 million dollar contract extension in 2029 and a 3 year/13.7 million dollar contract extension in 2031 before hitting free agency in 2034 where he signed a 1 year/2.6 million dollar contract with Houston but was released prior to game 2 of that season. Zehlendorf would sign him to a 3 year/0.9 million dollar contract before game 10 of the 2034 season but was released prior to the 2035 preseason and he would retire at the end of 2035. He played in 140 games including 93 starts in his career. He recorded 191 tackles, 25 sacks (2nd alltime team), 33 hurries (10th alltime team) and 5 forced fumble. In 2034, he helped the Zehlendorf Zecken win the XFL Championship.
2025 1.12
CB James Edwards 72/92☆(Draft review)
The corner from Notre Dame may not be the fastest defensive back but his all around cover skills have the potential to be elite. Considered a top 10 talent and possibly the best true corner in the draft.
Grade A
He played 8 seasons with Indiana after signing a 5 year/46.6 million dollar contract extension in 2028 before hitting free agency in 2033 where he signed a 2 year/20.3 million dollar contract with Michigan and he retired after the 2033 season. He played 114 games including 100 starts with Denver where he amassed 474 tackles (5th alltime team), 168 knockdowns (3rd alltime team), 29 interceptions (Team Record) and a 50.7 catch allowed percentage on 667 passes defended (3rd alltime team). He was selected to the 2026, 2027 & 2029 ALLPRO teams.
2026 1.6
RB Melvin Shaw 43/95☆(Draft review)
Indiana must have been ecstatic to put this name in for the the 6th pick. Shaw is a physical specimen with elite size, speed, acceleration and strength. His potential is through the roof but if only reaches 75-80% of his potential, he will be a dominant player in this league.
Grade A+
He played 7 seasons with Indiana after signing a 4 year/24.7 million dollar contract extension in 2029 before hitting free agency in 2033 where he signed with Houston at 2 years/14.4 million dollars. He went unsigned in free agency in 2035 & 2036 and he announced his retirement after the 2036 season. For his career, he finished with 7,785 yards rushing (10th Alltime) and 37 rushing TDs (11th Alltime).
2026 1.29
CB Charles Davis 30/75☆(Draft review)
Davis has good speed and decent coverage skill potential but scouts like him at FS 35/81 where he can make plays in space.
Grade B
He played 9 seasons with Indiana after signing a 5 year/41.6 million dollar contract extension in 2029 followed by a 5 year/61.5 million contract extension in 2033 before retiring after the 2034 season. He played 130 games including 127 starts where he has 580 tackles (3rd alltime team), 6 forced fumbles (9th alltime team), 15 interception (4th alltime team), 186 knockdowns (2nd alltime team) and a 51.4 catch allowed percentage on 830 ***** thrown his way (Team Record).
2027 1.26
TE Mark Jones 36/87☆ 6' 2" 250
Arizona
Jones is a great tight end coming out of college but may be better at fullback. If Indiana moves him to RB and have him cut weight, he may become the steal of the draft as his speed goes from great to elite. If he booms in training camp and meets his full potential, he could become a dominant player in the league.
Grade A+
He played 8 seasons with Indiana after signing a 5 year/25.3 million dollar contract extension in 2030 followed by a 5 year/23.6 million dollar contract extension in 2034 prior to him retiring after the 2034 season. He played 115 games including 89 starts where he tallied 273 receptions (6th alltime team) for 2,802 yards receiving (6th alltime team) and 13 TD receptions (7th alltime team), 35 KO returns (3rd alltime team), 1,022 KO return yards (4th alltime team) and 1 kickoff return for a TD (4th alltime team).
2028 no draft pick☆Indiana traded 2028 1.6 (QB Marc Cote) and 2028 5.11 (WLB Luke Weaver) to Houston for RB Seth Ball, WLB Richard Flanagan, 2029 3.8 (CB Edward Callahan) and 2030 1.2 (RB Daniel Lewis)
Indiana would eventually trade RB Seth Ball to Carolina for WR Larry Broadhurst
Traded for
RB Seth Ball (2 seasons starter)
WLB Richard Flanagan (3 seasons starter)
CB Edward Callahan (1 season starter/3 seasons backup)
RB Daniel Lewis (2 seasons backup/1 season depth)
WR Larry Broadhurst (2 seasons backup)
Traded away
QB Marc Cote (4 seasons starter/1 season backup)
WLB Luke Weaver (6 seasons backup/2 seasons depth)
RB Seth Ball (3 seasons backup)
Indiana won these connected trades getting 5 players/6 seasons starter/7 seasons backup/1 season depth while giving up 3 players/4 seasons starter/10 seasons backup/2 seasons depth. They got 2 additional players and 2 extra seasons of starts while giving up 3 seasons backups and 1 season of depth.
2029 1.12
CB Fernando Thompson 35/93☆6' 0" 202 lbs
Utah
Indiana selects a defensive back with elite speed who could play either safety or corner depending on how his cover skills pan out. Scouts love his upside but only time will tell.
Grade A-
He has played 15 seasons with Indiana after signing a 6 year/49.6 million dollar contract extension in 2032, a 5 year/79.8 million dollar contract extension in 2037 and a 5 year/25.5 million dollar contract extension in 2042 before retiring after the 2043 season. He played 237 games including 187 starts where he amassed 949 tackles, 16 forced fumbles, 275 knockdowns (4th Alltime), 33 interceptions and a 43.0 catch allowed percentage on 1,019 passes defended (10th Alltime).
2030 1-2
WR Daniel Lewis 31/90☆5' 11" 206 lbs
Oregon State
Maybe not the safest pick at #2 but he has the potential to be the complete package if camp goes well. I would feel much better if his speed were a tick higher and safer picks were still an option.
Grade A-
He played parts of 3 seasons with Indiana before being released prior to the 14th game in 2032 where he signed a 6 year/1.7 million dollar contract with Cincinnati. He was released by Cincinnati after the 2037 season where he signed a 3 year/1 million dollar contract to return to Indiana before he retired after the 2040 season. He played 127 games including 58 starts where he had 5,488 yards rushing, 16 rushing TDs, 271 receptions, 1,067 yards recieving and 10 TD receptions.
2030 1-24
RG Robert Moody 33/88☆6' 4" 302 lbs
Louisiana State
Many draft experts had Moody either 1st or 2nd on their draft boards for offensive linemen. His combination of great strength, speed and quickness make him a potential LT for years to come. Indiana probably couldn't believe he fell to them especially after 2 other linemen were taken ahead of him. He had some off the field issues centered around his conditioning and the risk may have made him drop.
Grade A-
He played 4 seasons with Indiana before the team allowed him to walk after his rookie contract. In 2034, 2035 & 2036, he signed a league minimum contract with Michigan before signing a 4 year/22.3 million dollar contract with Atlanta in 2037. He played 127 games including 76 starts where he allowed 13 sacks on 3,287 pass blocks and 161 tackles on 2,673 run blocks while committing 22 penalties.
2031 1.29
C Orlando Chamberlin 37/86☆6' 2" 283 lbs
Towson State University
With C Eugene Jones entering his 15th season, Indiana looks to find his successor with this true center. He is a good short and long snapper with decent speed and blocking skills.
Grade B+
He played 4 seasons with Indiana before the team allowed him to walk via free agency where he signed a 6 year/100 million dollar contract with Vancouver. In 2039, he was traded from Vancouver to Vegas along with a 5th & 6th rounder for a 2040 2nd round pick. He signed a 3 year/39.0 million dollar contract extension in 2040 to remain with Vegas and a 2 year/55.1 million dollar contract extension in 2042 before being released after the 2043 season where he would retire. He played 190 games including 178 starts where he had allowed 19 sacks on 7,212 pass blocks and 298 tackles on 7,215 run blocks while committing 42 penalties. In 2041 he was selected to the ALLPRO and he won the 2039 & 2040 XFL Title with Vegas. In 2044, he was elected to the HOF unanimously on his 1st ballot.
2032 1.22
SS Arthur Arechiga 38/85☆Vol 90
6' 0" 200 lbs
Wake Forest
Indiana takes a flyer on this defensive back out of Wake Forest who lacks high end speed but scouts love his cover skills and believe he can make the transition to the XFL and contribute in the secondary at either safety or corner.
Grade B+
He played 4 seasons for Indiana before he hit free agency in 2036. 14 teams offered him a contract before he signed with Gem City to a 6 year/179 million dollar contract. In 2042, he again hit free agency where he signed a 3 year/45.7 million dollar contract with Oakland and signed a 5 year/82.0 million dollar extension in 2044 but he would retire after the 2044 season. He played 203 games including 147 starts where he totaled 840 tackles, 14 forced fumbles, 196 knockdowns, 15 interceptions and a 52.5 catch allowed percentage on 811 passes defended. In 2035, he was selected to the ALLPRO team.
2033 1.20
FS Jason Boggs 37/76☆5' 9" 206 lbs
Texas Christian
Vol 56
Boggs is the 7th defensive back taken in the top 20. While his speed is average, scouts love his quickness and sure tackling which can help anchor a defensive backfield.
Grade B
He has played 4 seasons with Indiana before hitting free agency in 2037 where he signed a 6 year/40.9 million dollar contract with Saint Paul. In 2041, he signed a 3 year/21.3 million dollar contract extension with Saint Paul before retiring after the 2043 season. He played 175 games including 111 starts where he had 681 tackles, 10 forced fumbles, 71 knockdowns, 5 interception and a 44.0 catch allowed percentage on 325 passes defended. He helped Saint Paul win the 2037 NXC Conference Championship.
2034 1.16
MLB Jason Steele 36/77☆6' 1" 238 lbs
UTEP
Steele is seen as one of the top 6 linebackers in the draft and considered a 1st round talent. The separation between those 6 comes down to speed, size and intelligence plus tackling, cover skills and run stopping. He may not be the highest rated but is considered a very talented versatile player.
Grade B+
He played 7 seasons with Indiana after signing a 6 year/4.2 million dollar contract extension in 2038 before being released prior to the 2041 season and he officially retired after the 2045 season. He played 111 games including 65 starts where he has 452 tackles, 38 knockdowns, 6 interceptions and a 61.9 catch allowed percentage on 331 passes defended.
2035 1.3
QB Harold Townsend 34/85☆6' 1" 221 lbs
Miami (Ohio)
Drafting a francise quarterback early in the 1st round is always risky and Townsend is no different. Indiana currently have Newsome behind center but he is entering his 9th year and has just 2 years remaining on his contract. Townsend has elite football IQ and scouts love his hard count and pass release as pro level. He has average arm strength but the question remains about his accuracy and vision. If he can transition successfully to the XFL, he has the benefit of sitting a season or 2 to develop and progress.
Grade A
He spent 3 seasons with Indiana before being released prior to the 2038 season where he signed a 2 year/1.2 million dollar contract with Vancouver. He played just 1 game with Indiana.
2036 1.6
QB Taylor Rojas 22/94☆6' 2" 213 lbs
Hawaii
Early mock drafts had Rojas going #1 overall based on his unlimited potential but after the combine, his stock took a dive as concerns over his true potential came into question. There are no questions about his intelligence, speed and arm strength as they are all XFL level but questions about just how accurate he will be finally slipped him down to 6th overall. Indiana has 2 aging QBs on the roster and they drafted QB Harold Townsend 3rd overall last draft but the team isn't sold on his ability to be the heir apparent so they are rolling the dice once again in the 1st round. If Rojas can blossom in the XFL, he has the luxury of sitting behind QB Robert Newsome until he can take over. Best case scenario is Rojas booms and he becomes Indiana's francise QB for the next dozen year...worst case scenario is Rojas bust hard and Indiana wastes 2 consecutive top 6 picks on bad QBs.
Grade A
He spent 2 seasons with Indiana before being traded to Los Angeles prior to the 2038 season. In 2039, he was again traded from Los Angeles to New York where he signed a 6 year/71.8 million dollar contract. 2037 1.5
WR Edward Zinn 49/83☆Vol 62
5' 11" 208 lbs
Fresno State
This draft doesn't have a deep WR class but Denver takes one of the few that has pro talent potential. Zinn doesn't have elite high end speed but he has size, quickness, strength and great ability to catch the 50/50 ball. Scouts believe his potential as a WR is thru the roof plus his size affords him the chance to run the ball as well.

SS Erin Serrano 27/72☆6' 0" 201 lbs
Hawaii
Serrano was one of the 10 DBs ranked high in this year's deep class. He has elite world class speed matched only by his incredible football IQ and intelligence. While scouts question his m2m cover skills, his speed and smarts make him an ideal FS in the XFL. If he is allowed the freedom of moving to FS, his lightning speed, ability to recognize plays and sure tackling could make him a playmaker at the next level.
Grade A
He played 5 seasons with Indiana after signing a 6 year/21.0 million dollar contract extension in 2041 before being traded to Buffalo in 2043. He played 4 seasons with Buffalo before becoming a free agent in 2047 where he signed a 4 year/25.9 million dollar contract to return to Indiana. In 2048, Indiana would release him prior to week 4 of the season. In 2049, he signed a 2 year/1.2 million dollar contract with Miami. He has played 173 games including 124 starts where he has 926 tackles, 11 forced fumbles, 82 knockdowns, 12 interceptions and a 47.3 catch allowed percentage on 590 passes defended. FS Mark Blevins 34/70☆5' 9" 195 lbs
Richmond
Indiana which moved from Denver in the off-season uses their 2nd of 2 1st rounders for another DB. Indiana is looking to build something on defense after their move because the francise has missed the playoffs for 6 straight seasons and only had 3 postseason appearances in 20 seasons in Denver. The elongated slump helped erode the fan base and disputes over a new stadium in Denver ended up forcing the move to Indiana where they built a 77,000 seat outdoor stadium named LF Memorial Field. Blevins along with fellow 1st rounder Serrano bring world class speed to Indiana's defense with Blevins more of a pass rusher and run stuffing safety due to poor m2m cover skills.
Grade B+
He played 6.5 seasons with Indiana after signing a 6 year/22.5 million dollar contract extension in 2041 before being traded to Memphis prior to week 5 of the 2045 season. Indiana traded away 2 players who tallied 4 seasons of starts, 4 seasons of backup and 1 season of depth.

WR Paul Clinton 36/876' 0" 191 lbs
Arkansas
Clinton was part of a group of 5 WRs considered the 2nd best WR in the draft after McConkey who went #1 overall. Clinton has great to elite level potential from speed, quickness, hands and route running. He does bring established ball carry skills which could lead him to get some carries out of the backfield. Like with everyone in this group, it's all about how he develops his skills at the next level.
Grade A
He played 9 seasons with Indiana after signing a 6 year/64.9 million dollar contract extension in 2042 before becoming a free agent in 2048 where he signed a 2 year/8.3 million dollar contract with Carolina. In 2050, he signed a 1 year/0.571 million dollar contract with Buffalo. He has played 145 games including 109 starts where he has 395 receptions for 3,547 yards receiving and 17 TD receptions.

RB Stephen Allen 29/815' 11" 227 lbs
Notre Dame
The Golden Domer was a top ten talent who slipped to #11 in the draft. He is the Doak Walker Award winner in college for best running back and he is a complete back with a powerful running style and elite pass catching ability with great hands. He has good, not great speed but he makes up for it with power.
Grade A+

The trade of this 1st rounder led to two additional trades involving 12 players. Indiana did some bang for their buck but they still lost this series of trades based on the number of players, quality of seasons played and 5 Total Championships won.
Indiana traded for 4 players who made 18 seasons as starter, 10 seasons as a backup & 1 ALLPRO.

2047 1.12
SS Everett Redford 30/756' 0" 205 lbs
Florida State
Indiana lands the 3rd ranked DB despite taking the 4th DB off the board. While their division rival selected Costello ahead of Redford, Indiana wasted no time taking this safety will elite speed. Redford's coverage skills are average at best but his speed & quickness is best suited as a safety playing zone where he can run to the ball. If he can improve his coverage skills at all in TC then he could become special for Indiana's 24th ranked pass defense.
Grade A
He has played 3 seasons as starter and is entering his final year on his rookie contract. He has played 48 games including 47 starts where he has 338 tackles, 4 sacks, 7 hurries, 4 forced fumbles, 45 knockdowns, 1 interception and a 61.4 catch allowed percentage on 228 passes defended.
2048 1.18
CB John Branch 35/815' 11" 201 lbs
Washington & Lee
Indiana was active on draft day making several trades to land 3 additional 1st rounders in this year's draft. The francise has been owned for 12 seasons entering this year and they have made just 1 postseason appearance in that time despite 3 winning seasons. They have pushed all their chips into the middle of the table by trading future draft capital to have 4 1st round picks in this draft. They had the 13th ranked defense last season but only the 27th ranked pass defense so they use pick 1 of 4 on a DB with elite speed. How Branch develops his cover skills in training camp will dictate how he helps the defense but one way or the other, his speed makes him a defensive playmaker.
Grade A
He has played 2 seasons as starter and has 2 years left on his rookie contract. He has played 32 games including 31 starts where he has 155 tackles, 55 knockdowns, 6 interceptions and a 47.8 catch allowed percentage on 268 passes defended.
2048 1.21
WR George Andrade 35/756' 1" 210 lbs
Rice
Indiana had the 22nd ranked offense last season and the 28th ranked pass offense so they used their 2nd of four 1st rounders on a WR with elite speed and tremendous quickness. Indiana has assembled 7 offensive playmakers with elite speed so its now just a matter of getting the most out of the offense as possible to take that next step into the postseason.
Grade A
He has played 2 seasons with Indiana on his 4 year rookie contract. He has played 31 games including 25 starts where he has 75 receptions, 815 yards receiving and 2 TD receptions.
2048 1.22
WR Louis O'Neill 32/665' 11" 184 lbs
Louisville-Lafayette
Indiana has a 2nd consecutive pick here and it's their 3rd of four 1st rounders in the draft. They used this pick to select a WR with world class speed. O,Neill played football for Louisville-Lafayette but attended the college on a track & field scholarship and he qualified as an Olympic alternate in the 100 meter dash. He is fairly new to football and the Fog are rolling the dice that they can complete his transition to football full time.
Grade A-
He has played 2 seasons with Indiana on his 4 year rookie contract. He has played 27 games including 26 starts where he has 654 yards rushing, 3 rushing TDs, 84 receptions, 755 yards receiving and 0 TD receptions.
2048 1.27
WR Philip Mandell 35/71(/b]
6' 1" 202 lbs
Pittsburgh
Indiana used their 4th & final 1st round pick on a third WR as they are clearly focused on improving their 28th ranked pass offense. Mandell has elite speed and raw receiver skills so this is another gamble by the Fog as they have made speed a priority in all 4 1st round selections. Without a doubt, this year's training camp will be the single biggest event in francise history as they hope to strike gold four times!
Grade A-
He has played 2 seasons with Indiana on his 4 year rookie contract. He has played 29 games including 28 starts where he has 121 yards rushing, 0 rushing TDs, 82 receptions, 1,064 yards receiving and 9 TD receptions.
[b]2049 no pick Indiana traded 2049 1.12 (LT Sammy Pittman), 2049 1.17 (CB Bob Ostrander), 2049 2.21 (RG Joel Garcia) & 2049 3.23 (CB Donald Scott) to Philadelphia for 2048 1.22 (WR Louis Oneill) & 2048 1.28 (WR George Andrade).
Traded for:
WR Louis Oneill (2+ seasons starts)
WR George Andrade (2+ seasons starts)
Traded away:
CB Donald Scott (1+ seasons backup)
CB Bob Ostrander (1+ season starts)
LT Sammy Pittman (1+ seasons starts)
RG Joel Garcia (1+ seasons starts)
Indiana traded 4 draft picks for 2 draft picks and all 6 players remain active and 5 of the 6 are starters. It's too early to grade this trade but it seems like both teams made out good in this one.
2050 no pick Indiana traded 2050 1.18 (RB John Hayes) & 2050 3.18 (C Anthony Linkous) to Philadelphia for 2048 1.27 (WR Phillip Mandell)
Traded for:
WR Phillip Mandell (2+ starter)
Traded away:
RB John Hayes (rookie)
C Anthony Linkous (rookie)
2051 1.21
WR Steve Mann 33/71 (RB 25/76)5' 11" 201 lbs
Ohio State
Indiana was 6th in rushing last season with Danny Melillo rushing for over 1,400 yards. They selected WR Mann with the 21st overall pick who has elite speed and scouts view as a RB in the XFL. The combination of Melillo and Mann could make for a potent combination in the backfield while Mann should eventually replace Melillo in a few seasons as a starter.
Grade A
2052 1.32
WR Bennie McNaughton 35/676' 2" 184 lbs
Maryland
Indiana takes the 3rd Maryland Terrapin to come off the board in the 1st round in WR McNaughton. He is only 184 lbs and has world class speed but his overall WR skill-set are all considered below average. This is a project pick where Indiana hopes to develop him into a speedy playmaker by training him up in camp. Scouts love his speed but concerns about his weight mean he could possibly need to put on some weight to hold up in the XFL which could alter his speed which is his primary asset.
