Pittsburgh outgained Los Angeles 482-197 and won the XFL Championship 33-3, a 30-point margin built on balance and field position. The Blitzkrieg finished with 298 passing yards and 184 rushing yards; the Challengers managed just 18 yards on 11 carries and converted only four of 16 third downs.

Los Angeles opened the scoring with John Ash’s 44-yard field goal in the first quarter. Pittsburgh answered early in the second: Fernando Russo ran four yards for a touchdown, and John Bentley’s extra point put the Blitzkrieg ahead 7-3. From there, Pittsburgh scored on six of its next seven scoring opportunities, while its defense kept the Challengers out of the end zone.

The game’s first major offensive strike came from Cornelius Camp, who completed 23 of 38 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. With 9:07 left in the second quarter, he found Tristan Salas for a 49-yard touchdown, stretching the lead to 14-3. Salas led Pittsburgh with 106 receiving yards and a touchdown. Camp’s second scoring pass came in the fourth, when Russo turned a 16-yard completion into a touchdown with a move past the cornerback. Russo finished with 80 rushing yards and 45 receiving yards, scoring once on the ground and once through the air.

Bentley made all four of his field-goal attempts, including kicks from 47 yards late in the first half and 53 and 54 yards in the third quarter. Those two third-quarter makes pushed the margin from 14 points to 20, and his 20-yarder in the fourth made it 26-3. Pittsburgh was not especially efficient on third down, converting four of 13, but its ability to finish drives and produce explosive plays supplied the separation.

The defense added three sacks and Martin Baughman’s interception. Baughman picked off Eugene Taylor early in the fourth quarter at the Los Angeles 31, setting up Bentley’s field goal. Taylor finished with 179 passing yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the team totals; Los Angeles went 0-for-1 on its only red-zone visit. Pittsburgh, by contrast, scored two touchdowns on three red-zone visits.

The final touchdown, Russo’s 16-yard catch with 7:51 remaining, made it 32-3; Bentley’s extra point completed the 33-3 score. For Anthony Kirby’s Blitzkrieg, the championship result followed the clearest statistical formula of the night: more than twice the opponent’s total yardage, a productive ground game, and a defense that turned Los Angeles’ passing volume into little scoring return.
