I just how noticed all the complaints about some trades and honestly, what am I suppose to do about it.
There are horrible trades all the time and hopefully you comments help but each owners is responsible for his own decisions and I haven't seen many owners actually learn a thing and keep repeating the same mistakes
It's not really any different than someone finding a loophole in game planning, or otherwise putting in work to gain an advantage. IMO trades should not be reversed based on owner ignorance, only in place of collusion.
I really don't know why I even bother complaining at this point. MFN will be dead come summer anyway.

STORY TIME
7 years ago, I was Eddie1958 on steroids!
I had just reached by 30 days in and was allowed to trade, I was still using default player weights and made a ton of bad trades!
Don't believe me? Goto the main forums and search CJFRED NEEDS TO BE STOPPED FROM TRADING!
I knew nothing, barely won and thought I knew what I was doing. The upside was being publicly attacked was I was forced to learn about custom player weights and how to gameplay properly so I could win!
When I used Sethericks weights and it recalculated all my players ratings, I was shocked at the results and just how bad some of those trades were!
The XFL has always been a veteran owner league where experience was a requirement for entry but now I'm forced to allow new owners to join instead and having a bunch of open teams. New owners have to learn quickly and every 1st round draft review and TC tour is designed to entertain & educate.
I never finished my Help thread but it has a ton of info which is very relevant.
I understand every owner that is upset about the trades but I literally learned about the issue today via PM. I've been busy doing my 1st round review, putting together this year's hall of fame ballot while updating the ALLTIME STATS thread.
I'm not gonna void a trade because it's bad since nobody is forced to make a trade.
I appreciate each and every owner in the XFL and I don't want to lose any of you but I always do lose owners no matter what happens!
I'm not in the habit of booting owners and voiding trades but instead I try to use those type of situations as learning time.
A very simple rule for trades is only players with 85+ speed and under 7 to 8 years of experience are worth 1st round picks unless he is an elite QB!
You ask well what about OL and DL?
The same rule applies so all OL and all DL aren't worth 1st round picks in 99% of all cases!
Universal player weights would eradicate the issue and put newer/experienced owners in a better position. But, hey, it's never been a priority for JDB.
I get it, bad trades **** but I deal with this in fantasy football as well. Two people make a trade that others feel is lopsided. You read comments like I would have given him a better deal, etc or this trade needs to be reversed.
So far, CJ is the only one I've read who called out hammond for taking advantage of a newbie, although I could have missed someone else's comment.
With up to 32 different owners, we'll have up to 32 different opinions about a player's true value and those differences of opinion aren't enough to reverse a trade.
Has anyone reached out to Eddie to inform him to take a closer look at things or are we just bitching to *****?
Well it’s been more than Eddie, but he is the latest victim…I get it, ppl have their opinions, just hoping newer owners can learn from mistakes and not get discouraged to the point of leaving. The comments started when seemingly veteran owners were giving Hammond whatever he desired for cents on the dollar. But good for him, last time here he walked into a dynasty in Atlanta, atleast he has to build this Seattle team up first, but it might be there before a game is played now. The sharks are always going to be circling, if you keep up with comments and helpful articles you can protect yourself a little.
Unintentionally set myself up with that “sharks circling” line…I meant predatory trades, not this team specifically, but I guess both work…lol
The default weights ****, and the default game plans ****, so it sucks for JDB too. We will need to find another Eddie before long, and then the replacement will be run through the wringer, and then we'll have to replace *him,* lather, rinse, repeat.
Now that we are charging people to be so mistreated, we need to do better than this. Give people a way to start doing *better* instead of just dropping them on their heads repeatedly.
