Are we sure there is no massive cap hit at the end? I was under the impression that upon retirement, any unused bonus gets rolled up into a dead cap hit. That's why I let a lot of older vets walk when they near retirement, I don't wanna pay them money for nothing.
I don't want to use this contract exploit, but if there is no big dead cap hit, I will start resigning my older vets rather than let them walk.

CJ's example shows the bonus is @ 773k and the main $$$ is bombed out to 30 mil.
Only bonus money gets stuck to the cap in retirement.
I will be honest.....at first I thought increasing future base salary in order to offer more money in free agency was genius and saw nothing wrong with it at all.
But others raised concerns so I decided to spent some time tinkering with it to see what could be done.
I don't know if anyone has been using back loaded contracts but if I could figure it out then there are much smarter people on here than me who probably have.
I will be implementing this rule at the end of season in all my leagues.
No changing of future base salary is allowed.
Must use sliders for base and bonus and can manually enter bonus.
How this is tracked???
Standard contracts increase base salary 5% every year....there is never diviation from 5%....so any contract with larger then 5% annual increase in base salary has been manually entered.
Got it?
Thanks
CJ
PS
I'm wasting my time doing this and have a big playoff game with my division rival in a few hours.
PSS
That's an excuse I'm building if things don't turn out good

Instant classic Dyluckyguess.....no complaints here....could have gone either way and somebody had to lose.
The good news is you advance
The bad news is even though Cunningham retired...we ain't going no where.
GG Cincinnati/vcr5150 I did everything I could to pull that win off. Just fell a little short.

Manually enter bonus. Ah, you mean to match a re-sign demands to the exact dollar.
There'll be no more getting a pop up max contract for each season 1 by 1 until you have the ultimate max contract per the pop ups. F*** that was time consuming to have to protect by always making sure to max max a contract.
But if I wasn't going to win a player why would I ever want to lose out to: Seth/Infinity/Michael/HHH etc. etc.
Guys you'd see at the Conference Final round.

gg Crazy / Texas. Talk about a statistically even game - that was a close, close game. Neither team deserved an "L" in that one.
