The 57 yarder was an end of half kick, which makes sense as my slider is set to 65 for that situation. It's possible I got confused about which league I was adjusting the slider for. I have watched football seriously since I was 9-10 years old which is 78-79. I never once before that game heard about the stupid tuck rule. He was trying to fake spike and the ball slipped out as he was bringing the ball back up and they used the Tuck Rule to let him keep the ball. That being said, the rule basically legalizes fumbling as it was written, and is why it's no longer an actual rule. Not gonna rehash the game, and while most point to the Tuck Rule as why the Raiders lost, a lot of the blame falls on Gruden and his bad coaching. Raiders had a 3rd and 1 late in the game when a 1st down basically wins the game. Gruden called a stretch run in the snow rather than just plow into the line. I also remember Gruden's clock management pissed me off. Tuck Rule never should have happened but screw Gruden too. Liked by Blondie1977
