I almost never take someone with 80+ vol in the first round since I've personally never ever had success with that. I'm with you on the low vol bust thing though. It's so infuriating when you take a 10 vol that drops 4 overall at camp.

I think that lately, especially, low volatility isn't very useful. You may as well go with high volatility guys and let the chips fall where they may.

It depends on what position they play. I'll be more likely to chance a high volatility RB or defensive player. Even if their skills bust, they still have the speed/strength I'm looking for. I'm least likely to spend a high pick on a high volatility OL. Yes the physical attributes don't change, but I also want blocking skills on my OL. Nothing worse than a man mountain with no blocking skills.

High volatility QBs are next least likely, unless they have a lot of red already for pass accuracy and then WR, whom I like to be able to catch and run routes.

I was going to ask if anyone else had noticed a lack of quality o linemen in recent drafts. I'm not sure if I've taken an o lineman at all in the last several drafts across multiple leagues in 4.6. They all seem to be pretty weak, or if they're strong they have such low blocking potentials that it didn't seem worth the risk to gamble on them.

Yep especially at the right side of the line.

JDB manipulates the drafts to align with his agenda.

Quick example: v4.6 and dispersal drafts - incredibly poor QB and Kicker stocking to reinforce the killing off of the mash plays (FL Hitch and HB Flare), funneling the game to a heightened defensive parity game play ....his vision/attempt and he nearly pulled it off.

Does anyone know why passing release ratings are listed on the main RB player cards now? Are they testing halfback passes in beta now? Just curious.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing.

What's displayed is whatever you have set at least a 1 in players weights. I've made mistakes and had odd stuff like kick strength show up for OL or pass release show up for LB.

Check your player weights for RBs and odds are pass release got accidentally hit for more then 0

Interesting. My RB pass release was set at 1 for some reason, so that was probably the issue - fixed it. Thanks for the tip.
