AXC

WEST

Oakland
They hosted Daytona in week 1 and started the season with a convincing 38-3 win. They rushed the ball 36 times for 201 yards and 3 TDs led by Curtis Rivera's 95 yards & 2 rushing TDs. QB Robert Collins went 21 of 27 for 163 yards, 2 TD passes and 1 interception as he managed the game efficiently. Defensively they had 4 interceptions by 4 different players, 8 sacks led by RDE Keith Aguilera's 3 sacks & 1 forced fumble. They host Dakota (0-1) in week 2 as they will look to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2043 where they finished 11-5.

Indiana
They hosted division rival Vancouver in week 1 and won a very strange game 2-0. That's not a typo, it's the first time in XFL history any team has won a game 2-0. The game featured 16 combined punts plus 6 combined missed fieldgoals as Vancouver Kicker Sheldon Wallace was a healthy scratch after missing curfew several times during the week. Both offenses struggled as Indiana was led by Danny Melillo's 86 yards rushing on 21 carries. SS Everett Redford paced the defense with 10 tackles. Indiana hosts Toronto (0-1) in week 2 as they will look to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2042 where they finished just 7-9.

Kansas City
They traveled to Dakota in week 1 for a key AXC Conference showdown between 2 teams that have made the postseason the past 3 seasons. Kansas City won the game 33-19 despite being outgained 376-307 thanks to winning the turnover battle 3-1 while stopping Dakota on 4th down 3 times. Barry Walker put the offense on his back, rushing for 161 yards on 23 carries including 2 rushing TDs. Defensively they had 2 interceptions including a pick 6 by CB Frank Francis plus a forced fumble and 2 sacks. They host Cincinnati (1-0) in week 2 as KC has another game versus a Division Champ from last season. Surprisingly, KC hasn't started a season 2-0 since 2038, eleven seasons ago!

Vancouver
They traveled to Indiana in week 1 for a division game and their Kicker Sheldon Wallace was inactive after missing curfew several times during the week. The decision directly let to a lose as CB Brian Marrero became the emergency Kicker and he missed 4 fieldgoals in a 2-0 lose. QB Keith Garcia led the offense going 30 of 43 for 228 yards and 1 interception as Vancouver had the only red zone trip in the game. Vancouver returns home to host Providence (1-0) and they are staring 0-2 in the face which hasn't happened since 2041 where they finished 2-14.

Defensively, they had 2 sacks and a forced fumble while they recovered 2 total fumbles. In the 4th quarter, New York trailed 24-23 with 3:57 left in the game and New York was forced to punt the ball away. Peter Chappell was a major acquisition in the off-season from Atlanta and he muffed the punt and New York recovered on the LA 40 yard line. 10 plays later, New York punched it into the endzone for the win. New York hosts Orlando (1-0) in week 2 for an early battle between undefeated AXC teams.

New England
They traveled over 3,000 miles to play Seattle in week 1 and after an early 6-0 lead, they eventually lost to Seattle 27-20. The first quarter of the season is in the books and we have 3 undefeated teams remaining (Buffalo/Cincinnati/Phoenix). None of the undefeated teams are a surprise buy we have 4 winless teams (Miami/Texas/Saint Paul/Dakota) and Dakota is a surprise winless team.

Dakota is the only francise in XFL to have double digit wins in all 30 seasons and has never missed the postseason and both streaks are clearly in danger as the team is still looking for its first win.

We put a bow on the first 4 games plus take a look at the next 4 games for every team as we look at how the first half of the season will go.

AXC

WEST

Oakland
After beating Daytona at home in week 1, they hosted Dakota in week 2 and held on to win 23-20. They hosted Vancouver in week 3 and took their first lose, 23-10 before hosting Washington in week 4 and winning 20-10. Oakland had a nice start to the season going 3-1 and based on the schedule have a chance to go at least 5-3 in the first half. Their defense has led the way as its ranked 14th including 4th against the pass while leading the league in interceptions.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@IND (1-3)
@ORG (2-2)
@PHI (2-2)
KCY (3-1)

Indiana
After hosting division rival Vancouver in week 1 and winning 2-0, they welcomed in Toronto in week 2 and got doubled up, losing 24-12. They traveled to Washington in week 3 and lost 12-3 before returning home in week 4 to host KC and losing 23-16. Indiana put all their chips into the middle of the table in the off-season, trading future draft capital to acquire four 1st round picks in this year's draft. Three of the four 1st rounders were used on offense but it hasn't paid early dividends as Indiana has the 26th ranked offense in the league including the 31st ranked passing offense. They have used 2 different QBs and neither has thrown a TD pass. After Oakland in week 5, Indiana has 3 games versus 3 teams with a combined 1 win so they still have a chance to turn it around this season. All the pieces are in place and the talent is there so it's all about putting it all together.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
OAK (3-1)
@MIA (0-4)
@DAY (1-3)
TEX (0-4)

Kansas City
They traveled to Dakota in week 1 and won the game 33-19 before returning home to host Cincinnati and losing 17-14. They remained home in week 3 to host Orlando and won 35-28 before traveling to Indiana in week 4 and winning 23-16. The defending division Champs are off to a nice start at 3-1 and have been led by the leagues 11th ranked Rush offense. WR Barry Walker is 4th in the league in rushing with 354 yards.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
PHI (2-2)
BRO (1-3)
@PRI (3-1)
@OAK (3-1)

Vancouver
They traveled to Indiana in week 1 and lost 2-0 when their Kicker was inactive for disciplinary reasons. They returned home to host Providence in week 2 and the kicker was active but they still lost 29-14 to fall to 0-2 for the first time since 2041. They traveled to Oakland in week 3 and won their first game 23-10 before coming home to host New York and winning 24-3. After losing their first 2 games, they bounced back with 2 straight wins to even their record at 2-2. They have been led by their 6th ranked defense including their 10th ranked pass defense as they are the 4th best defense in points allowed (44).

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
DAK (0-4)
WAS (1-3)
@ORG (2-2)
@PHI (2-2)

EAST

Buffalo
They hosted division rival Miami in week 1 and held on to win 33-27 before hosting another division rival New England and blowing them out 60-27. They traveled to Miami in week 3 and beat them again in another close game 46-39. They wrapped up the first quarter of the season at winless Dakota and held on to win 33-28. Buffalo's strategy is to pass the ball alot and outscore their opponent as they have the #1 pass offense and are the #1 scoring offense. They have only punted twice and kicked just 2 fieldgoals going for it on 4th down 26 times while being successful just 7 times which is a .269 success rate. It's worked well in the regular season but hasn't translated to the postseason. It's also put a ton of stress on their defense which has allowed the 6th most points in the league. The last 6 seasons, Buffalo has gone just 4-6 in the postseason including 4 times where they went 1 and done. QB Matthew Whitney leads the league in attempts, completions, yards, TDs & INTs.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE: 7/26 (.269)
PIT (3-1)
@NYE (2-2)
@VBA (1-3)
HOU (1-3)

New York
They traveled to Los Angeles in week 1 and won 29-24 in an exciting game. They came home in week 2 and hosted Orlando where they won 21-3, holding Orlando to 3 points after they scored a league high 65 in week 1. They traveled to Pittsburgh in week 3 and lost 32-20 before they traveled to Vancouver in week 4 and lost 24-3. They started the season 2-0 before losing 2 straight to even their record at 2-2. New York bounced back to being relevant the past 2 seasons making the postseason both seasons but they are under their 3rd new owner in the last 5 seasons and concerns about where they end up this season are being raised. They have been led by their 7th ranked pass offense as QB William Jennings is on pace for 4,400 yards passing & 20 TDs but he is also 2nd in the league in INTs with 9 which directly effects their 32nd ranked -10 turnover margin. Despite hosting Buffalo in week 6, 3 of the next 4 games are very winnable and New York needs to win those games if they have any chance to make the postseason for a 3rd straight season.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@MIA (0-4)
BUF (4-0)
@SEA (1-3)
NEC (1-3)

New England
They traveled over 3,000 miles to play Seattle and lost 27-20 in week 1 before they traveled to Buffalo and lost big 60-27 in week 2. They came home in week 3 to host Toronto and lost 24-10 before heading back on the road in week 4 at winless Miami and winning 23-9. They have been led by their 10th ranked pass offense which has been offset by their 28th ranked pass defense. The next 4 games gets even tougher for a New England team that hasn't won more than 4 games since 2042.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@LAC (3-1)
PNX (4-0)
CIN (4-0)
@NYE (2-2)

Miami
They traveled to Buffalo in week 1 and lost a tight game 33-27 before traveling to Vegas in week 2 and losing 31-3. They came home in week 3 and lost another 1 score game to Buffalo, 46-39 before hosting winless New England in week 4 and losing 23-9. Miami hasn't had a winning season in 14 years and their new owner is trying to turn the francise around. The bright spot for the team has been their rushing attack but their top 2 rushers are out with injuries. It's always darkest before the dawn and things are very dark in Miami right now but the fan base does have some hope that they have a solid owner who will turn the francise around with time.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
NYE (2-2)
IND (1-3)
@PNX (4-0)
@DAY (1-3)

NORTH

Cincinnati
The hosted division rival Houston in week 1 and won 33-24 in the game of the week. They went on the road in week 2 and beat KC 17-14 to improve to 2-0. They returned home in week 3 to host Dakota and won 50-23 before hitting the road to play division rival Houston for the second time in week 4 and winning 26-20 to sweep the season series. The defending AXC Conference Champ has started this season where they left off last season going 4-0. They are led by their 3rd ranked offense including their 3rd ranked pass offense and 6th ranked rush offense. Their offense is balanced & efficient led by 2nd year WR Julio Hamilton who just missed 1,000 yard rushing & receiving last season and is pace to be close again this season. If the team has a weakness, it's their 31st ranked pass defense but some of that can be attributed to having the lead late and teams getting late garbage yards. The next 4 games features 2 games versus Division opponent Pittsburgh (3-1) which will go a long way in determining which team plus Toronto wins the North.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@MTG (3-1)
PIT (3-1)
@NEC (1-3)
@PIT (3-1)

Pittsburgh
They traveled to Saint Paul in week 1 and won 12-6 before coming home in week 2 to host division rival Houston and won 23-17. They hosted New York in week 3 and won 32-20 before traveling to Toronto in week 4 where they lost 27-13. At 3-1, they still find themselves in 3rd place in one of the leagues toughest divisions. Pittsburgh is all about running the ball (6th) and stopping the run (10th). The current owner is in his 3rd & final year as owmer as he announced before the season he will be leaving to pursue other ventures but fans don't want him to leave since after an 8-8 first season, he approved to 10-6 last season and seemed poised to improve again this season. Pittsburgh's next 4 opponents include 3 undefeated teams including 2 versus Division leader Cincinnati so we will learn a great deal about the Blitzkrieg other the next 4 games.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@BUF (4-0)
@CIN (4-0)
@HOU (1-3)
CIN (4-0)

Toronto
They traveled to Gem City in week 1 and lost 31-20 before traveling to Indiana in week 2 and winning 24-12 to even their record at 1-1. They wrapped up a 3 game road trip at New England in week 3 with a 24-10 win before finally coming home to host division rival Pittsburgh in week 4 and winning 27-13. They finished the first quarter of the season at 3-1 and in 2nd place in the North. The last 3 seasons, Toronto has finished 8-8, 8-8 & 9-7 just missing the postseason all 3 years. They seem poised to get over that hump this season behind their 7th ranked offense & 9th ranked defense. They are only 1 of 4 teams with a top 10 offense & defense joining Phoenix (2/1), Atlanta (8/2) & Philadelphia (9/10). RB Richard Avery paces the offense as he leads the team in rushing & receiving yards while their 3rd ranked pass defense features 6 of their top 7 players in passes defended with a sub 50 catch allowed percentage. As a team they have defended 128 passes and allowed 59 receptions for a team catch allowed percentage of 46.0%. While Cincinnati & Pittsburgh play each other twice the next 4 games, Toronto has 3 very winnable games the next 3 weeks before visiting Montana in week 8. They need to be at least 6-2 by week 8 if they have any hope of winning the North.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
ZEZ (2-2)
DAY (1-3)
SPP (0-4)
@MTG (3-1)

Houston
They lost on the road at Cincinnati 32-24 in week 1 before losing on the road at Pittsburgh 23-17 in week 2. They came home to host Montana in week 3 and won their first game 20-6 before hosting undefeated division rival Cincinnati in week 4 and losing a tight game 26-20 to get swept in the season series. After going 6-10 last season and missing the postseason for the first time in 7 seasons, Houston was looking to bounce back this season but a 1-3 start has them back in 4th place in the North, 2 games behind 3rd place Pittsburgh (3-1). They have the 12th ranked offense including the 6th ranked pass offense but their defense has let them down being ranked 26th including the 29th ranked pass defense. The next 4 games doesn't get any easier as they play 3 of 4 games versus teams with combined records of 10-2. Amazingly, through 4 games they have just 1 interception and 0 forced fumbles which had led to a -6 turnover margin.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
GCG (3-1)
@SPP (0-4)
PIT (3-1)
BUF (4-0)

SOUTH

Orlando
They hosted Texas in week 1 and won big 65-10 against their division rival before traveling to New York in week 2 and losing 21-3. They traveled to KC in week 3 and lost a 1 score game 35-28 before traveling to winless division rival Texas in week 4 for the rematch which they won 54-0. So in games versus Texas they are 2-0 out scoring them 119-10 and versus anyone else they are 0-2 being outscored 56-31. They actually have the 6th ranked offense & 12th ranked defense but how much of that is skewed because of 2 blowouts of Texas? The next 4 games will be interesting as they sit atop the South Division at 2-2 and play 1-3 Daytona & 0-4 Dakota. By week 8, we should know alot more about the Guardians and if they finish at least 4-4, it could be enough to win the division.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@DAY (1-3)
OAK (3-1)
VAN (2-2)
@DAK (0-4)

Dakota
They hosted KC in week 1 and lost 33-19 before traveling to Oakland and losing 23-20 to fall to 0-2 for the first time since 2030, 19 seasons ago. They traveled to Cincinnati in week 3 and lost 50-23 to start the season 0-3 for the first time in francise history. They returned home to host undefeated Buffalo in week 4 and fell short 33-28. Despite being winless, they have the 4ty ranked offense but it's their 30th ranked defense which has let them down. They also have 0 interceptions and a -9 turnover margin. The Blizzard are in uncharted territory and they need to win at least 3 of their next 4 games if they have any hopes to salvage the season.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@VAN (2-2)
TEX (0-4)
MEM (3-1)
ORG (2-2)

Daytona
They traveled to Oakland in week 1 and lost big 38-3 before hosting Texas in week 2 and winning big 32-13 to even their record at 1-1. They visited Atlanta in week 3 and lost 24-18 before hosting Memphis in week 4 and losing a close game 10-6. They may only be 1-3 but they played Atlanta & Memphis in 1 score games the last 2 weeks. If they translates to wins against lesser opponents in the future is yet to be determined but their 24th ranked offense is the best ranking in years to go along with their 25th ranked defense. A win at home in week 5 versus Orlando puts them in 1st place in the South.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
ORG (2-2)
@TOR (3-1)
IND (1-3)
MIA (0-4)

Texas
They traveled to Orlando in week 1 and got blown out 65-10 before traveling to Daytona and getting blown out 32-13 in week 2. They traveled to Memphis in week 3 where they were also blown out 56-3 before finally playing a home game in week 4 versus division rival Orlando again where again they were blown out & shut out 54-0. They have the 2nd lowest scoring offense along with the worst points allowed on defense. On the bright side they do have the 6th ranked pass defense but have the 31st ranked rush defense. In total 9 players have defended 129 passes allowing just 51 receptions for a team catch allowed percentage of only 39.5%.

NXC

EAST

Providence
They headed to Washington for a division showdown in week 1 and shutout the Warriors 25-0 before traveling to Vancouver in week 2 and winning 29-14. They wrapped up a 3 game roadtrip at Phoenix in week 3 in a pivotal NXC Conference game and lost 13-10. They came home to host Carolina in week 4 and won big 41-3. Providence has been a perennial contender for the last 7 seasons winning at least 10 games every year and playing in 3 straight NXC Conference Championship games. As always, the team is led by their 5th ranked defense which is 3rd in the league in points allowed. They have 12 players that have defended a combined 179 passes while allowing just 73 receptions for a team catch allowed percentage of 40.8%.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
BRO (1-3)
GCG (3-1)
KCY (3-1)
@BRO (1-3)

Philadelphia
They hosted division rival Brooklyn and shut them out 23-0 to start 1-0 before traveling to Memphis and beating the Maniacs 15-10. They traveled to Brooklyn in week 3 for a rematch and lost in overtime 26-23 before hosting Tampa Bay in week 4 and losing a Heartbreaker 27-26. Despite being just 2-2, Philadelphia is just one of four teams with a top 10 offense & defense. They have had some tough luck, losing 2 games by a combined 4 points but the francise has reached the postseason the last 10 seasons so nobody is panicked. Rookie WR duo Jeremy Brown & Jeremy Smith are 1st & 2nd on the team in receiving yards, receptions & TD receptions which is a good sign Philadelphia will be a postseason team for the next decade.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@KCY (3-1)
@ZEZ (2-2)
OAK (3-1)
VAN (2-2)

Washington
They hosted Providence and were shutout 25-0 in week 1 before traveling to Brooklyn in week 2 where they bounced back with a 26-3 win. They hosted Indiana in week 3 and won 12-3 before traveling to Oakland in week 4 and losing 20-10. Washington has the 4th ranked defense including the 2nd ranked pass defense but they have been inconsistent since they have tried to play their rookie QB in 2 games which they lost. Washington is stuck in between trying to win now and trying to develop their rookie QB. Neither rookie QB Jack Harber or veteran QB Daniel Stroud have played great but Harber has thrown 8 interceptions in 2 starts which has put too much pressure on Washington's great defense.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@ATL (3-1)
@VAN (2-2)
CAR (1-2)
@TBY (1-2)

Brooklyn
They traveled to Philadelphia in week 1 for a division showdown and were shutout 23-0 before hosting Washington in week 2 and losing 26-3. They hosted Philadelphia in week 3 for an early rematch and won 26-23 in overtime before hosting Atlanta in week 4 and lost big 43-7. Brooklyn has struggled to move the ball on offense and score as they have the 31st ranked offense while ranking 28th in points scored (36). They have scored just 3 TDs all season and 2 of them came on KO returns. The next 4 games don't get easier for Brooklyn and they could be focusing on next season by the time we finish week 8.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@PRI (3-1)
@KCY (3-1)
TBY (2-2)
PRI (3-1)

WEST

Phoenix
They traveled to Vegas in week 1 for a division showdown and won 24-6 before hosting Saint Paul in week 2 and blowing out the Punishers 48-3. They hosted Providence in week 3 and won 13-10 which may become a key tiebreaker for which team gets the bye in the NXC. They hosted Zehlendorf in week 4 and laid the hammer down 44-0. Phoenix has made the postseason in 8 straight seasons and owned the West winning 7 straight division crowns so it's all about the postseason for the Predators. They have reached the NXC Conference Championship game 2 times in the last 8 seasons but they lost both times to Atlanta on the road. Phoenix wants to get the bye and finally host the NXC Conference game and hopefully beat Atlanta who has beaten them 4 times in the last 7 postseasons. Right now, Phoenix is the best team in the league with the 2nd ranked offense and #1 defense. Barring a major upset, they should enter week 8 at 7-0 and they travel to Atlanta for a game that may help decide which team gets the bye in the NXC so circle the calender and set your DVR!

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
VBA (1-3)
@NEC (1-3)
MIA (0-4)
@ATL (3-1)

Seattle
They hosted New England in week 1 and held on to win 27-20 before traveling to Germany to play Zehlendorf and they lost a tight game 12-6 in overtime. They returned home to host division rival LA in week 3 and lost another close game 13-9. They hosted Montana in week 4 and lost 35-3. Seattle currently has the 23rd ranked defense which isn't particularly great but it's the best ranking for Seattle in the last decade. They have competed and been in 3 of their 4 games this season which is a positive for this francise which hasn't had more than 3 wins in 7 of the last 10 seasons. You would like to Seattle finish week 8 with a 3-5 record or better.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@SPP (0-4)
@LAC (3-1)
NYE (2-2)
CAR (1-3)

Vegas
They hosted Phoenix in week 1 for an early litmus test division game and fell short 24-6 hosting Miami in week 2 and evening their record at 1-1 with a 31-3 win. They traveled to Gem City in week 3 and lost 20-13 before hosting LA in week 4 and losing 24-17. Vegas has finished either 7-9 or 8-8 in 5 of the last 6 seasons and this slow start coupled with a very difficult next 4 games could have Vegas fighting to finish another season right at 8-8. They are 3rd in the league in rushing and have 3 players with at least 146 yards rushing as they have been using a 3 headed running back by committee approach.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@PNX (3-1)
@MTG (3-1)
BUF (4-0)
@LAC (3-1)

Los Angeles
They hosted New York in week 1 and lost a tight game 29-24 before hosting Gem City in week 2 and winning an even tighter game 23-20 in overtime. They traveled to Seattle in week 3 and won yet another close game 13-9 before traveling to Vegas in week 4 for another division game which they won 24-17. Los Angeles has missed the postseason the last 8 seasons and finished 8-8 last season but the fast start to the season has fans excited that this could be the year they break that playoff drought. If they want to get to the postseason then LA must be at least 6-2 after week 8 as they have a very favorable schedule the next 4 weeks. LA just missed being the 5th team with a top 10 offense & defense as their offense ranks 4th while their defense ranks 11th. The trade for WR Peter Chappell and the signing WR Paul Huffman have brought veteran leadership to the offense as both players come from winning francises (Atlanta/Dakota).

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
NEC (1-3)
SEA (1-3)
@ZEZ (2-2)
VBA (1-3)

NORTH

Gem City
They hosted Toronto in week 1 and won 31-20 before traveling to LA in week 2 and losing 23-20 in overtime. They hosted Vegas in week 3 and won 20-13 before hosting division rival Saint Paul in week 4 and winning 30-7. Gem City sits at 3-1 and the lose came in overtime so they could be 4-0 very easily. They lead the league as a team in rushing with nearly 200 yards per game on the ground (196.0). WR Michael J. Fox leads the ground attack and is 2nd in the league in rushing yards (413). Circle the week 7 matchup between Gem City & Montana which will help decide which teams ends the first half of the season in 1st place in the North.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@HOU (1-3)
@PRI (3-1)
@MTG (3-1)
@SPP (0-4)

Montana
They hosted division rival Zehlendorf and won 22-7 in week 1 before hosting Tampa Bay in week 2 and winning 36-23 to start 2-0 for the first time since 2045. They traveled to Houston in week 3 and lost 20-6 before traveling to Seattle in week 4 and righting the ship with a 35-3 win. This is Montana's best start to a season since 2045 where they started 4-0 and won their first Division Title. The next 4 games are rough as they play 3 teams with winning records in the next 4 weeks. Montana has had success running the ball (10th) and stopping the run (7th) which makes the week 7 matchup with Gem City and their #1 ranked rushing attack very interesting.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
CIN (4-0)
VBA (1-3)
GCG (3-1)
TOR (3-1)

Saint Paul
They hosted Pittsburgh in week 1 and lost 12-6 before traveling to Phoenix and losing 48-3. They hosted Zehlendorf in week 3 and lost 33-6 to their division rival. They traveled to Gem City in week 4 for another division game and lost big 30-7. Saint Paul has the 32nd ranked offense and scored the fewest points in the league (22) while having the 31st ranked defense and allowing the 5th most points (123). They are battling Texas for the top pick in the draft.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:

HOU (1-3)
@TOR (3-1)
GCG (3-1)

Zehlendorf
They traveled to Montana in week 1 for a division game and lost 22-7 before hosting Seattle in week 2 and winning a close game 12-6 in overtime. They traveled to Saint Paul in week 3 and won big 33-6 before heading to Phoenix in week 4 and being shutout in a blowout lose 44-0. They sit at 2-2 but their next 4 games are tough and winning up 3-5 after week 8 would be good for the Zecken. The strength of the team is their 13th ranked defense

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@TOR (3-1)
PHI (2-2)
LAC (3-1)

SOUTH

Memphis
They hosted division rival and 7× XFL Champ Atlanta in week 1 and made an early statement winning 16-3 before Philadelphia came to town and beat them 15-10. They hosted Texas in week 3 and blew them out 56-3 before traveling to Daytona in week 4 and holding on to win a tight game 10-6. Memphis has had a top 10 ranked offense the past 7 seasons but they have struggled this season as their offense ranks 19th. Their 3rd ranked defense has kept them afloat this season as the offense figures things out. They have 4 very winnable games the next 4 weeks so anything less than a 7-1 record at mid-season would be a disappointment.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
TBY (2-2)
@CAR (1-3)
@DAK (0-4)
ZEZ (2-2)

Tampa Bay
They hosted division rival Carolina in week 1 and made a statement winning 41-9 before traveling to Montana and losing 36-23 in week 2. They traveled to Carolina in week 3 and lost the rematch 16-12 before visiting Philadelphia in week 4 and winning an incredible game 27-26. Tampa has the 15th ranked offense & defense as they are right in the middle of the pack on both sides of the ball. Their best unit in their passing offense which ranks 8th but QB Douglas Brock has 8 TD passes & 7 INTs which has led a a -5 turnover margin. Tampa Bay plays Memphis & Atlanta the next 2 weeks and they need to win at least 1 of these games if they want to be relevant in the NXC South Division.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
@MEM (3-1)
ATL (3-1)
@BRO (1-3)
WAS (2-2)

Atlanta
They traveled to Memphis in week 1 to renew this "must see" division rivalry and lost 16-3. They returned home and hosted Carolina where they bounced back with a 47-6 win. They hosted Daytona in week 3 and won a surprisely close game 24-18 before traveling to Brooklyn in week 4 and winning big 43-7. The 7× defending XFL Champs traded away ALL-WORLD WR Peter Chappell who was a key cog in all 7 Titles and QB Alvin Johnson retired so many in the league thought: "ding dong the Dominators are dead" but not so fast. After a week 1 lose on the road, Atlanta has won 3 straight while having the 8th ranked offense & 2nd ranked defense. They will be favorites the next 3 weeks and Host undefeated Phoenix in week 8 in a key NXC Conference showdown with the winner getting a leg up for the bye.

WEEK 5-8 SCHEDULE:
WAS (2-2)
@TBY (2-2)
@TEX (0-4)

Carolina
They traveled to Tampa Bay in week 1 and lost big 41-9 to their division rival before traveling to Atlanta in week 2 and losing big again to another division opponent 47-6. They hosted Tampa Bay in week 3 for the rematch from week 1 and won 16-12 before traveling to Providence in week 4 and getting blown out 41-3. They have the 29th ranked offense & defense and have missed the postseason the last 8 seasons. They are trying to completely rebuild their roster and get the francise back to its glory years of 2028-2036 where they made the postseason every year and won the XFL Title in 2029.

The team is good enough to win now but they want to develop the rookie QB for the future so the team is kind of stuck in the middle.
