Let me make myself very clear....the XFL is 100% my baby....my pride and joy.
I created this league and participated in the leagues allocation draft. I've watch some owners play nearly every season while others come and go for 17 seasons.
I took my responsibility very seriously as league admin and would never boot an owner who made a simple mistake or slight oversight.
Let me give you a little background...I work for the U.S. government doing data analysis going on 30 years now. Without getting into much detail, it's my job (along with many others) to take many data sources and connect dots. When enough dots have been connected, a summary of those dots is compiled in both long and short form with percentage of certainty attached.
When it comes to GrandadB and his punt block scenarios....I dug deep into his depth chart, number of plays per game and watched every punt return play listing every player on his front four.
Here is what I know with 100% certainty He had 6 illegal players on his ST RUSHER depth chart #6-#11. 6 violations of rule #1.
Only 2 legal ST RUSHERS played during every playoff game (#1 & #4) which automatically would have resulted in 2 of the illegal players to play.
The problem is that while both ST RUSHER #1 & #4 were both active and played in all 3 playoff games....#4 never played a punt return...thats 18 straight times. The odds of fatigue forcing him out of all 18 punts is astronomical.
The only way this happens is if he used overrides to set ST RUSHER #2, #3 & #4.
ConclusionGrandadb keeps trying to minimalize or dismiss any responsibility he may have and wants everyone to believe it was an oversight.
I'm suppose to believe one of the most elite owners in MFN, with 80-100 Championships who loves to win....overlooked his depth chart during the playoffs and accidentally fielded an elite punt block unit. I'm supposed to believe the owner who joined mid-season and immediately signed 13 new players to institute his system (his words from the forum) fell asleep at the wheel. He freely admits to having illegal ST RUSHERS but doesn't seem to think that's an issue and thru paranoia won't use them in the future. How about following league rules?
Let's not forget his ST Rusher #4, a non-starter on defense was too fatigued 18 straight punts.
After reviewing all the evidence, based on Grandadb's continued pleas of innocence....I can state for the record with 100% certainty that Grandadb used overrides on his punt return formation to field 3 WR/RB with +85 speed with the full intention to block punts. Its the only conclusion you can come up with based on all the facts.
