GDB is cowardly and wants complete control of the game.

Being buddy/buddy with JDB while pushing his own initiatives onto JDB and getting inside information on what's coming down the pipeline.

Bending the game to your whim, manipulating is where I depart the game and call it a wrap at 108 titles, 500-600 Title Games and 900-950 Conference Final Games.

That's what I look for in the unfair advantage and GDB is throwing it in our face on the discord channel.

GDB is getting plays removed (FB Dive/Flat Zone), over-rides restricted to more Roster Only type play) and who knows what else I'm missing or is behind the curtain.

That's called a rigged game and if GDB gets his way, I leave.

There are probably better/more consistent ways to stuff it but this one is easy and requires almost 0 effort.

There will always be something. As he advocates to get those removed, new quirks will become apparent. GDB is fixated on chasing a carrot on a stick and is clueless. I'm certain JDB understands with each fix there is a new problem, it is 101.

Again though, with such a passionate but small following in this game, there is a demand for progression. It is hard when it happens in large overhauls over long periods of time. There is a need for patches at an at least quarterly interval.

I understand though, there is only one key holder here.

I'm not going to have a miserable cretin dictate my game play. (GDB) Lord of the Rings. JDB is the King Theoden and GDB (Saruman) is whispering in his ear, withering him away to brittle and whitened hair.

Warrior mentality. I have JDB blocked on PM. I don't like him and don't want to communicate with him. I've survived his each and every attempt to ruin our game (collective) and individual over the version releases with GDB types in his ear pushing their personal agenda. (parity, sniping at the elite GM strategies)

JDB doesn't listen to GDB anymore then he listens to anyone else.

GDB saying that stuff is just a not so subtle attempt to seem more important or above everyone else. He doesn't have JDB's ear & from everything JDB has told me....he is working solely on updating/upgrading the user interface!

I know nobody wants to hear that but future version changes have been on hold for so long because he is working on making the sim more phone/tablet friendly.

JDB hasn't added or remove a single play in years and changes in the game are how every play runs under alterations to the code.

Smirt, you know GDB is a liar so why do you always fall for owners who claim to have inside access to JDB and the code?

I honestly don't think anyone playing MFN has spend more money on this game then me over the last 5 years. How many leagues have I created in that time....I can't even remember but it's over a dozen and I actively customize player names and make changes to any francise in any of my leagues for free for any owner.

So if I....who invests real money into JDBs dream project have no special access....why would anyone else?

I PM JDB about once a month with various questions but it's never about the nuts & bolts of the code or secret tips.

It's usually a question like does owner A share a common IP with owner B and JDB has very little actual knowledge about individual owners, their skill level or accomplishments. He doesn't really view the game on that level!

I've asked his opinion on dozens of owners including you Smirt and his response is always the same. He knows how long you have been playing and how active you are joining leagues and logging in daily. He doesn't have an opinion on who is the best because he doesn't pay attention to who is winning in every league.

Smirt, GDB, Ray, Me & everyone who plays MFN is just 1 of 300 data points to him. Blocking JDB is a waste of time because he never PMs anyone and if he really wanted to PM you.....do you think the Block would stop the man who has access to the code?

This^^^ I’ve often wondered why there is no patches or updates with these engines. Honestly, it would solve many of the problems we have with overuse / spam plays.

It's more a motivational/principle concept on why I blocked him. I did, however, get a bad taste in my mouth way back before all the changes leading into v4.3 it was obvious that setherick and JDB were locked into long dialogue during the Elite League dispersal draft. All great minds were brought together under one roof and JDB sat in silence on the league chat evaluating our picks, set-ups....basically being the Eye of Sauron while kicking it with Seth.

What you don't seem to comprehend is that JDB doesn't evaluate picks & setups...he evaluates the overall data among the 300(ish) users and finds the median output.

He then bases changes to the code on that median output....i.e.....Rush yards/game average & pass yards/game average.

Looking at the top outputs is as helpful as looking at the worst outputs....it's meaningless.


He doesn't care about you, setherick, GDB or me....he cares about the average MFN owner.....that's where the majority of owners sit & where the actually eventual money is.

I don't get where you, GDB, Setherick or Ray think your roll in MFN is more important then any other owner....I've said it before and I will say it again....every owner is 1 of 300 data points and while JDB observes and politely responds to PMs.....nobody but JDB is making decisions or even influencing JDBs vision for MFN.

He cares.

He'll look at the play separators all throughout the history of MFN, different eras and versions. It mattered more then as bench marks along the way than it does now due to if a discord guy eyes it, 15 more will have it in their repertoire within a week.

Example:

The Goal-Line Outside Runs got turned inward a long time ago when he saw they were hitting for too much, too often.

I've chattered about each thing along the way, I won't recall it now but I haven't been bashful on calling out changes.

I've had to completely erase entire strategies and take new approaches many many times in reaction to JDB moves and that's fine I like a challenge.

I did the same here each year when you challenged me with the restrictive rules...v4.5, right and each year got tougher and I did it.
