Almost hate to ask, because I won't like the answer. But...
It seems like this league is okay with teams just running one play on defense, is that right? (You all know the play).
I guess you all probably don't care but if a team wins a championship in this league by just running one defensive play, I am out.
No, the league is not "okay" with a one play defense. We were the first league to rule against the FB Dive and 43 Flat Zone defense, if you remember. Im also not okay with exaggeration. If you are referring to your game vs Oklahoma, there was more than one defense used, but .... there were only 5-6 different defensive plays used, which is based on the "narrow window" of what works best in 4.6 defense. That was posted in the Community Help Forum, by Armored Girrafe. This is going to be an ongoing situation until JDB puts controls in for minimum and maximum play use, same as is done for roster control. When you have more players than max, the Ai steps in and cuts players, and it should be the same for play diversity, instead of overuse penalty, which is not much of a penalty. Same for play selection and use, there should be a full 40/30 play active, with a 1 time used minimum, controlled by the Ai. There are those in this game who prefer having an advantage using a minimal play approach, Im not one of them, I prefer variety and diversity. I will PM JDB about it, again, and hope that he does something about it, we have been losing players over the past year and that is one of the reasons. In the meantime, if you want to compete, you need to use the same or very similar gameplan for defense, and all you need is to note the plays that were used in that game, and use rules and defense settings to ensure that they are used the most. Hopefully, there will be changes made in the game code to address this in the very near future.
