2043 MID-SEASON REPORTAXCIf the playoffs were to start today.....I know it's cliche and not original but if it works then why change it. Anyway, If they did, the AXC would send 4 teams to the postseason that didn't make it last season. Only Vancouver, Dakota & Buffalo made the postseason last season, all 3 teams won their division and currently lead their division.
With 8 games remaining, we have 10 teams within 1 game, 13 teams within 2 games and 14 teams within 3 games of a playoff spot. Only 2 teams have basically eliminated themselves by starting 0-8 and being 4 games behind (New York) & 5 games back (Daytona).

NXCThe NXC is very top heavy, I mean how would you like to be 8-0 and sit at the #5 seed? Well that's Atlanta's reality right now based on some obscure tiebreaker with Memphis. The NXC is quickly becoming an 8 team race for 7 playoff spots as 3 teams sit 2 games out with another team 4 games out. Vegas, Tampa, Saint Paul & Zehlendorf have already begun playing playoff games since they all can't afford any more loses.

PUNTINGThe one bright spot for the winless LA Challengers has been their P Louis Maxwell who leads the league with a 48.4 average on punts. If he can maintain that average through the 2nd half, he would finish in the top 10 Alltime in a season.
P Harley Tillery (PIT) has been a weapon for Piitsburgh this season with his net average on punts of 46.1 yards. If he can maintain that average through the 2nd half, he would finish in the top 10 Alltime in a season.
