He held up. 99% of the GMs would get blasted to KINGDOM COME.

Blondie is an elite GM, therefore, elite GM factor stifled it off...for now. lol

Bingo Smirt211, so you finally understand!!!! Your strategy only works against the non-elite (top owners) since you haven't won a Title in the XFL in 16 years!!!!

So you broke plenty of single season and single game records off owners incapable of matching you (mostly in division) then you go 1 & done in the postseason! (6 times in the last 10 years).

So that's what I write about along with Armoredgiraffe's & Brxnivy's regular season dominance and postseason failures!!!! Daytona's miraculous rise from punching bag to Champion.

If you dont like the stories I write about then give me a different story!!!!

Matthew Whitney will either go into the HOF as Dan Marino or John Elway depending what happens his final few seasons.

NEWS & NOTES (2052 WEEK 15)

XFL

AXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Cincinnati 14-1 (10-1) y
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Dakota 13-2 (9-2) x
3. New York 12-3 (9-2) y
4. Indiana 10-5 (9-3) y
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. Daytona 12-3 (9-2) x
3. Buffalo 10-5 (8-3) x
7. Toronto 8-7 (6-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
8. Pittsburgh 7-8 (6-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

BYE

Cincinnati currently holds the Bye in AXC by 1 game over Dakota but Dakota beat Cincinnati in week 2 and holds the tiebreaker.

Cincinnati clinches the Bye with a win over Toronto (8-7) in week 16.

Dakota needs to beat Orlando (5-10) in week 16 plus have Cincinnati lose to Toronto to clinch the Bye.

WEST

Indiana has clinched the AXC West for the first time in 23 seasons (2030) and for just the 2nd time in francise history.

EAST

New York clinched the AXC East for just the 4th time in francise history and the first time since 2048.

NORTH

Cincinnati clinched the AXC North for the 6th straight season and 12th time in francise history.

SOUTH

Dakota holds a 1 game lead over Daytona in the AXC North and the 2 teams split their season series.

Dakota needs to beat Orlando (5-10) in week 16 to clinch the division.

Daytona needs to beat Texas (0-15) in week 16 plus have Dakota lose to Orlando to clinch the division.

WILDCARD

Daytona has clinched at least the 5th seed which would goto Dakota if Daytona wins the South.

Buffalo has clinched the 6th seed.

Toronto has in theory clinched the 7th seed even if they lose to Cincinnati (14-1) since they would fall to 8-8 and be 3-3 in division. Pittsburgh plays Houston (3-12) and a win would put them at 8-8 and 3-3 in division.

If they both wind up tied at 8-8 and 3-3 then the next tiebreaker should be common opponents where Toronto (7-7) wins because they beat Saint Paul while Pittsburgh (6-8) lost to them.

NXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
1. Phoenix 13-2 (9-2) y
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
2. Providence 13-2 (9-2) x
3. Atlanta 12-3 (9-2) y
4. Montana 12-3 (9-2) y
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
5. Brooklyn 12-3 (8-3) x
6. Memphis 11-4 (9-2) x
7. Gem City 9-6 (6-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
8. Los Angeles 9-6 (6-5)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

BYE

Phoenix currently holds the Bye despite Provience having the same record as Phoenix because Phoenix beat Providence in week 4 to hold the tiebreaker.

Phoenix clinches the Bye with a win over Atlanta (12-3) in week 16.

Providence clinches the Bye with a win over Brooklyn (12-3) in week 16 plus a Phoenix lose to Atlanta.

Atlanta clinches the Bye if they beat Phoenix (13-2) and Brooklyn beats Providence (13-2) in week 16.

If everything breaks a certain way, we could have a 5 team tie at 13-3!!! Phoenix, Providence, Brooklyn, Montana and Atlanta could wind up 13-3 with Atlanta & Montana separating themselves from the pack with 10-2 Conference records to the other 3 teams going 9-3 plus Atlanta beat Montana head to head which would earn them the Bye in the NXC.

WEST

Phoenix has won the NXC West for the 12th straight season and 17th time in francise history.

EAST

Providence holds a 1 game lead over Brooklyn in the NXC West but the division will be decided on the field when Providence travels to Brooklyn and the winner of that game clinches the NXC East. Now we are talking!!!

NORTH

Montana has won the NXC North crown for the 2nd straight season and 4th time in francise history, all within the last 8 seasons.

SOUTH

Atlanta was won their 18th division Title in francise history and 2nd straight after a 2 season lull. Atlanta has won 10 if the last 13 division Titles in the South.

WILDCARD

Gem City holds the Wildcard by the slightest of margins over Los Angeles since they have the same record and same Conference record with Gem City holding a 3-2 to 2-2 common opponents record edge which LA can match with a week 16 win over Vegas 8-7.

If Gem City wins and LA loses they clinch the 7th seed and vice versa if LA wins and Gem City loses then LA clinches the 7th seed.

If both Gem City and Los Angeles win then both team tie through all the tiebreakers and it comes down to net points. Gem City currently sits at +140 while LA sits at +60 so barring a miracle, Gem City wins the last tiebreaker.

If both Gem City and Los Angeles lose in week 16 then Vegas would clinch the 7th seed based on all 3 teams finishing 9-7 and Vegas beat both Gem City & Los Angeles head to head in weeks 1 & 2!!!

THINGS TO WATCH IN WEEK 16

MVP WATCH

3× MVP QB Matthew Whitney (BUF).is having another big season as he chases HOF QB Randal Cunningham's Alltime passing yards record but QB Stephen Gibson is starting to get some buzz around the league.

Whitney has doubled the attempts, completions, sacks & interceptions over Gibson but not the yardage & TD Passes.

Whitney wins on raw numbers but it the QBR & TD/INT ratio which favors Gibson plus Whitney is 3-5 vs winning teams while Gibson is 5-2.

A big week by either QB could be the clinching game for either QB!!!

SINGLE SEASON RUSHING RECORD

WR Julio Hamilton (CIN) currently has the 6th best single season rushing yard season at 1,668 at he needs 73 rushing yards vs Toronto in week 16 to break his own record of 1,740 yards rushing which he set last season.

ALLTIME RUSHING RECORD

WR Julio Hamilton (CIN) currently ranks 16th Alltime in career rushing yards with 8,500 yards rushing as he wraps up his 6th season in the league. Barring injury, he should become the 8th player in league history to reach 10,000 yards rushing and he is 3,448 yards shy of the current Alltime rushing yards record.

WR Danny Melillo (IND) currently ranks 12th Alltime in career rushing yards with 9,145 yards rushing as he wraps up his 8th season in the league. He could become the 8th player in league history to reach 10,000 yards rushing and he is 2,803 yards shy of the current Alltime rushing yards record.

BATTLE FOR 2 ALLPROs AT RECEIVER

WR Jacob Jeter (BUF) is a lock for 1 of the 2 ALLPRO selections with 6 others battling for the other selection. Week 16 can make or break each of those 6 players chances.

TOP 10 SEASON BY KICKER

K Cory Pate (PRI) currently has 47/51 on FGs which places him 14th in a season. With just 1 more FG made, he can move into the top 10 while 2 more FGs would move him up to 6th Alltime. The top spot isn't realistic since he would need 9 FGs in week 16 but 2nd place is possible since he would need 5 more FGs.

SINGLE SEASON TACKLES RECORD

Garrett Holt (BUF) currently has 164 tackles this season which ranks 5th most ever and he needs just 2 to tie for 3rd Alltime, 4 to tie for 2nd Alltime and 17 to tie for 1st Alltime.

SINGLE SEASON RACE FOR DE ALLPROs AND SACK LEADER

The race for the sacks lead and subsequent ALLPRO selections at DE is up for grabs as 8 players are looking to finish strong in week 16.

GAMES OF THE WEEK

The NXC East and the Bye in the NXC hinges on Providence @ Brooklyn where the winner will win the Division plus Phoenix @ Atlanta where if Phoenix wins they clinch the Bye and if Atlanta wins they can win the Bye if Brooklyn beats Providence or Providence can clinch the Bye with a win and Atlanta wins!!!!

Got it!!!

2052 POSTSEASON

WILDCARD ROUND

AXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks 16
@
Indiana 0
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Daytona held Indiana to just 34 Total yards through the first 3 quarters of the game on way to a 16-0 shutout of the Fog. Indiana held Daytona to just 3 points in the first half but Daytona finally broke through with 13 points in the 2nd half to salt the game away.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Buffalo Skull Crushers 23
@
New York Empire 3
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The rubber match went Buffalo's way after they abandoned their "full speed ahead" offense in favor of a more conservative proven formula where they actually punted 7 times and kicked 3 fieldgoals instead of their typical "never kick" philosophy. To put that in perspective, Buffalo punted a total of 5 times and kicked 9 fieldgoals the entire 16 game regular season.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Toronto Titans 16
@
Dakota Blizzard 38
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

This game was closer then the final score as the game went into halftime with Dakota holding a 16-13 lead and the score was 24-16 after 3 quarters until Dakota put the game away with 2 time consuming TD drives in the 4th quarter which resulted in both teams having just 2 possessions each in the final frame.

NXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Providence Islanders 23
@
Atlanta Dominators 20
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Providence held off an Atlanta late surge to beat Atlanta for the 2nd straight time in the postseason after losing their first 5 meetings in the postseason. Providence took a 13-7 lead into halftime and extended that lead to 23-7 after 3 quarters before Atlanta scored 13 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to make the score 23-20. Atlanta K Nicholas Serrano missed a 52 yard FG with 6:00 left in the 3rd quarter when Providence had a 20-7 lead and ultimately that cost them since they would lose by 3 points.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Memphis Maniacs 44
@
Brooklyn Hitmen 31
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

All three NXC matchups were close but this might have been the funnest game to watch this weekend. The game started slow.amd was 3-3 after the first quarter before Memphis hit the gas in the 2nd quarter scoring 17 unanswered points. Brooklyn would score a TD before the half with the score 20-10 Memphis. The two teams exchanged TDs in the 3rd quarter as Memphis took a 27-17 lead into the 4th quarter. Brooklyn would pull within 3 points twice in the 4th quarter, 27-24 & 34-31 but each time Memphis would respond with a TD of their own making the score 34-24 & 41-31. Brooklyn failed to score after Memphis took a 10 point lead and Providence tacked on a late fieldgoal to win 44-31.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Gem City Gangsters 6
@
Montana Grizzlies 9
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Montana completed a 3 game sweep of the Gangsters as neither team managed to score a TD! The game went into halftime 3-3 after Montana K James Shoults missed a chipshot 20 yard fieldgoal at the end of the half. The team's played field position football for much of the 3rd quarter before Shoults nailed a 48 yarder to give Montana a 6-3 lead. Gem City tied the game 6-6 at the start of the 4th quarter will a 35 yard fieldgoal from K Scooby Snacks. Montana answered on the ensuing drive with a 34
Yarder to take a 9-6 lead with 7:33 left on the clock. Gem City QB Robbie Heath connected on 28 & 21 yard passes to move to the Montana 22 yard line but on 2nd & 8 from the Montana 20, Heath was picked off by SLB William Todd at the 4:53 mark. Montana would put together a time consuming game winning drive which used 4:35 of the clock which gave Gem City just 15 seconds to pull out a miracle!

2052 POSTSEASON

DIVISION ROUND

AXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Daytona Beach Bull Sharks
@
Dakota Blizzard (-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

We get the rubber match between these AXC South rivals. The last 5 seasons have seen them go 5-5 versus one another but Daytona beat Dakota at home in the 2050 postseason, 32-29 in overtime! Get your popcorn!!

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Buffalo Skull Crushers
@
Cincinnati Defenders (-3)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Buffalo owner proclaimed the team would win this year's Title after the team came under scrutiny from the media for their style of play. They lost 4 of 6 games from week 10-15 which cost them the AXC East Title. Buffalo avenged one of those loses in the Wildcard round using a more traditional style of play. Buffalo is 1-4 versus Cincinnati in the last 5 seasons including an epic 46-40 lose at Cincinnati in the 2050 Division Round. Cincinnati has won 1 AXC Conference Championship & 1 XFL Title the last 5 seasons and this season they had a francise best 15-1 season after losing in week 1. Gather your friends and drink some cold ones!!!

NXC

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Providence Islanders
@
Montana Grizzlies (E)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Providence has made the postseason for 12 straight seasons, posting double digit wins in all 12. What Providence lacks is some postseason hardware as they lost 4 NXC Conference Championship games in those 12 seasons. Montana spent their first 17 seasons missing the postseason but over the last 5 seasons, they made the postseason 3 times which was capped off by a NXC Conference Championship last season. Montana will look to make it back and back trips to the Title game against Providence who they beat in last year's Conference Championship game 20-16. Buckle up!!!

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Memphis Maniacs
@
Phoenix Predators (-8)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Phoenix much like Providence has dominated the regular season by making the postseason 13 straight seasons and much like Providence, they lack any postseason hardware in that stretch. Phoenix is 0-4 in Conference Championship games the last 13 seasons. Phoenix is 1-3 Alltime versus Memphis including losing the 2049 NXC Conference Championship game at home 14-16. Memphis has barely missed a beat since changing ownership in 2050 after missing the postseason last year with a 9-7 mark. These two teams haven't met since 2050 when Memphis won at home 20-17. Memphis owns the edge over Phoenix in the postseason 3-1. Strap in!!!!

Hey AG, at least CJ can stop mocking one of us for our record in the Conference Championship after the next game! Should be a good one
