As far as the ALLPROs go, I've been doing it the same way since season 1 of the league and I have no plans to change it.
I see the whole thing like it's a cost benefit analysis. If you chose to play mostly WRs and CBs and use overrides to gain advantage and win then you miss out on getting consideration for FB, TE, LB and DE ALLPROs.
Look, I haven't had an ALLPRO since 2048 for the same reason so it's not personal. The problem is until JDB actually adds some filters to the stats...It is what it is!
I simply don't have the time or desire to make sure every LT is actually playing LT let alone figuring out who lines up at TE for all 32 teams to find the best non-TE to be named ALLPRO.
Let's take Smirt's Holt as an example. I'm assuming he moves around via overrides depending on formation so where should I name him ALLPRO?
CB Holt is going up against every other CB in the league and I'm looking at passes defended, knockdowns, pass catches allowed and interceptions. The typical cover corner areas. Holt simple slips through the cracks with a ton of tackles because tackles is primarily a LB stat.
In the end, it's something I do for fun and hope everyone enjoys but no matter who I pick, it has no real effect on the game.
Holt still owns the Stats and when the time comes, he will be voted on the Hall of Fame by the committee and ALLPROs are a small factor.
I'm overloaded with contend as it is and I'm not looking to make anything harder then it already is.
Consider also that some owners play the game straight up so their reward is having a chance to have their SLB, FB or TE being named ALLPRO!
AG, sorry to see you go and I'm glad you won a Title before leaving and it goes without saying but you are always welcome back!
